I love this spot. I've been pretty sad that they left Santana Row, but at least there is this location. I've always thought they had some of the best quality clothing, so surprised there are not more locations. This place is their outlet, so of course prices are a lot less, but still a bit on the pricier side. Still, you're paying for a better product. Great outlet location with some mind blowing prices... I picked up a single breasted 100% camelhair polo coat for men. Got the last 40R thankfully which fit me perfectly and looked extremely flattering. It cost me only $350 which I was quite blown away by as everything was on 50% off making it an incredible value. The sales associates are so friendly and willing to help with any inquiry be it a size request or a style request! Recently purchased a merino sweater which didn't fit me well. Went back for an exchange/return within their 60 day return policy. They basically refused to take it back because the tag wasn't "attached" to the sweater. It wasn't missing or anything, it simply wasn't attached. That's the reason they gave me. I explained that I've been a loyal customer and the sweater is basically never been worn but they brushed it off citing it was their "policy". The policy doesn't deny return and leaves it up to the store associate's discretion to make a determination to atkeast offer store credit instead. Which I requested for. Their store associate "Chris" basically said he'd "loose his job" if he did that. Have bought many clothes from Brooks over the years as its loyal customer and also own their credit card. Sorry you just lost a customer and left a really poor taste in the mouth. Customers just beware of this silly policy. read more

TLDR: MAKE SURE TO CHECK ALL CLOTHING BEFORE BUYING FOR ANY MARKS. THEY WILL NOT ACCEPT RETURNS FOR EVEN A SINGLE IMPERFECTION. Beware shopping here if you ever plan to buy something for a friend or family member - dare I say yourself. I bought a few polos for my father-in-law and realized they were too large for him. I wanted to come back to the store and exchange sizes. However, I was told I could not return them because of miniscule blemishes that honestly could have come from the worker herself. These shirts looked new and smelled new, and had never been worn outside of the ONE time by my father-in-law to check if it fit him. For those of us who have shopped at Nike or other stores, we are used to being able to purchase items safely with the assurance that in-good-faith we would be able to exchange one item for another size if it doesn't fit. I do not see this store as a safe space to buy, and will never be returning. The lady at the counter looked over every inch of each shirt and seemed to INTENTIONALLY look for reasons to deny my return. Out of 3 polos, she denied returns on 2 of them due to the most minor imperfections that honestly could have been from her own hand when folding the shirt in the first place! Ridiculous. I have friends in retail, and I know that some may try to return clothes after wearing it on a night out. This was NOT the case. Each item was as-new and the blemish could have been come from anywhere, and was so minor that you would have to look closely and try to find it (knowing it was there). I'd rather buy my clothes somewhere else where I know that if clothes do not fit, then I can return them. In all my years, I have never felt like a store was so blatantly distrusting of honest customers and actively looking for any reason to deny honest customers from The "acting" store manager mentioned that there was a faint stain on two polos I purchased for my father-in-law. I mentioned that that was strange, because we only kept the shirt in the shopping bag that we took the shirt out of and then had my father-in-law wear it only once to see if it fit. I will never be back at this store, and recommend that if you are buying an item for a loved one or a friend . . . shop at your own extreme caution. The same extreme caution and attention they will scrutinize your exchange or return if anything is awry. PSA: Take photos of each shirt and check for any blemish, in case the person who is folding your clothes upon checkout has dirty hands. read more

Pretty decent selection of discounted items from the retail store here. Of course this place is full of direct-to-outlet crap that isn't a good deal, but their rack of retail suits had seven 1818 Saxxon suits 80% off (down to roughly $260) and some other nice items. They were in normal sizes, too! The 80% is somewhat fake, in that the retail price is a pretty bad deal but compared to something comparable ,an 1818 Saxxon suit is a good buy when on sale for $400 to $500 and a pretty great deal at $260. The biggest problem here is the availability of decent stuff (I didn't buy any of the suits I found, even though they fit, because I didn't need another decent but not amazing suit and I didn't find anything else that was a great deal). But that's outlet mall shopping, nothing specific to this store. read more

I'm a big big fan of their iron free shirts. Many manufacturers claim they are iron free but fall short in the expectations department. Once you have one Brooks Brothers shirt you will never touch some junk Express stuff ever again. A nice experience even though its in an outlet situation. A high level of customer service. I like the way the fold and wrap and bag stuff here. They care about the overall brand even though this is the least expensive way to get this product. Check the bargain basement rack to see if there is a fit and color you like. That rack is so inexpensive its like stealing. I've had to pay for a bit of tailoring from shirts here but totally worth it as they last 5x longer than other shirts. Besides iron free shirts there is so much more in here but I can't comment as I'm not familiar with the items or how they wear after time. read more

Many high end retailers are pretentious and many outlet stores lack class. This shop is one of the best at avoiding both of those traps. Helpful staff without being snobby or, you know, weird. And Brian was tremendous in helping me find just what I needed at prices that fit my budget. It might be a long drive, but this is definitely going to be my go-to BB. read more

It's such a shame the customer service at the Livermore outlet of Brooks Brothers is subpar. Upon entering the store, I though I would get some sort of warm greeting as there was staff in the front of the store. Later I would learn it was probably the manager who saw me and didn't say a single thing. Through my whole shopping experience, she kept shouting and yelling at the associates and made my experience there very uncomfortable. I could not enjoy shopping when there was a person shouting in the store. "_(salesperson name) did you hang that shirt back where it belongs?" She shouts. Five minutes later... "( okay you guys I'll be gone for next four days. I was supposed to be gone at 7:00.) She finally clocks out. Leaves store and comes back in... Shouts... " okay you guys I'm off the clock." Just listening to her was exhausting. I hope something is done about her lack of professionalism when dealing with clients especially as she is a supposed manager. My experience there really ruined my whole experience at the outlets. I'm really close to reaching out to the Better Business Bureau and filing a complaint. read more

I wish there is a ZERO star in Yelp coz they definitely deserve it. In all my 20 plus years of in-store shopping, this is the 1st time that I was told bluntly that I am not allowed to try a shirt that is folded down- I can only try out the ones that are hung which is not even the same cut or style as the ones that I want to buy. The sale guy even tried to make me feel guilty about trying on the folded shirt saying something like that was common practice in clothing stores- No!!that is not the case!!!! I have been shopping in Boss, Theory, Tommy, Ralph Lorenes and the list goes on and on... They all allow customers to try on the shirts even through there are a good chance they won't buy it. He kept saying something like" sir, if every one decides to try out the shirt that folds down, then I need to spend the whole day trying to fold it back". Excuse me? Isn't that part of your job? Is your job just sitting around and telling customers not to try on the shirt that they want to see how it looks on them before they can buy it? With that frustration, I went to talk with a lady who wants to address my concerns and I was again told not to try it on- their expectation is that I need to try on other shirts for the size and then hold the shirt near my chest to see how it looks. My goddess! I really hope the management team to come out and confirm if this is what the customer shopping experience in Brooks Brothers is supposed to be!!! read more

I seriously had no luck with customer service yesterday. I get that I should not expect much from an outlet store but I think I have the right to hold these higher end stores to a higher standard - outlet location or not - given the prices they charge. I know that I am def. much younger than Brooks Brothers' target demo but their clothes are nice so I was looking to invest. When I walked in, the store was pretty empty, save for a handful of other customers. There were two employees who were immediately visible to me. One was at the register, and he seemed really friendly. The other was on the floor, but she was more concerned about restocking the shelves than helping me out or even greeting me. Whatever. I picked out a few items, and walked to the other side of the store where the fitting rooms are (mind you, this is a pretty spacious location). There was a third employee there tending to the suits and we made eye contact, so I could tell she knew that I was heading for the fitting rooms. And yet she chose not to provide any customer service. She didn't ask me if she could get me a fitting room or if she could grab anything else for me. Nope. She made me help myself to a fitting room...and that's precisely what I did. I made sure I left a mess for her to clean up. That's what she gets for being pretentious and profiling me. read more

The customer service I received today from this store was one of the best i have received in my life. One of those experiences in which you leave the shop with a huge smile. I was looking for a suit and pants when Art came to ask me if I needed any help. I've always had bad luck when buying suits, so hard, time consuming and never fits right. Art gave me a couple of suits to try and see how they fit and then got to work. Found a beautiful navy suit that fit perfectly. When i got into the store I was so confused, so many choices, and I was ready for a very unpleasant evening. Art found the perfect suit like in 5 minutes or less, he was very knowledgable about the sizes. I am a 30, and he knew that it wouldn't fit and I had to try the 32 because those pants fit small. He was right! Didn't have to waste my time fitting 2-3 pants. Then he was quick to get everything back to the register with a super nice attitude. He later helped me choose some sweet ties. Lay down some options and gave suggestions. All his options demonstrated he has a fine taste, know what he is talking about, had knowledge about new styles. Finally, he personally handed me my suit and said good bye in a very courteous manner. What a great shopping experience. This guy needs a raise asap read more

Don't know why the reviews are so bad here!! The associates were really friendly, and we were greeted right when we walked in and asked what we were looking for. (Not to mention, they were dressed impeccably and super handsome!!) Of course, we went straight to the 70% off section, and we definitely scored some good deals. Now this is an outlet, so it will hit or miss, especially with the big discounted items. Nevertheless, I got a wool blazer for $90. Originally over $300! However, the non-clearance items can still add up. $300 for coats, $200 for suit pants. $500 for a Brooks Brothers suit still isn't that bad. Shirts still range around $70 and polos around $60 which is disappointing since I don't consider that outlet prices. And who says middle age?? Dressing classy doesn't have a number, boo boo. My lawyer friends also scored some blazers and t-shirts for work. Great find!!! read more

So we walked in , looking for a shirt/slacks for my son and I asked the lady behind the counter for a tape, so I could measure my son for a shirt, vs randomly opening packages :) another gentlemen walked up and quickly measured my son and then frowned. He said I'm not sure we have anything that will fit him. He quickly looked and then said no, but try "name of other store here, across the way", he said they may have something, if not then you may have to go to the mall and check out Macy's teen section as I doubt anyone here has the right sized shirt. So I appreciated the assistance, and I appreciated him giving me some recommendations of other shops in the outlet as well as suggesting a place outside of the outlets. Too bad that 14 32-33 was the smallest they had, as we need a 14 30-31. So kudo's to the folks that are working this store.. read more

I had an outstanding experience here recently that I wanted to share. I was looking for a suit for my rehearsal dinner. My first stop was Barney's a few stores down. The staff there was marginally helpful, but I was having a hard time finding a full suit that fit me. I went over to Brooks Brothers on a whim and they helped me straight away. A gentleman, I think his name was Brendan, look my measurements and found the suit I was looking for. Best of all, they allow you to mix and match jacket and pants sizes. He was incredibly patient with me and pointed out suggestions for shirt/tie color combinations. My only gripe is I thought the ties/shirts were overly pricey. But the suits were a great deal. This was an amazing experience. I was helped by Luis Castro, who was a complete gentleman. Mr. Castro was polite, knowledgeable and polished. He was never pushy, very proud of his company and the clothing line. I wondered into the store dressed very casually with my four year old. I am difficult to fit, but I left with two of the most amazing fitting suits, with no alterations needed mind you, that it has ever been my pleasure to own. I do not want to sound like a snob, but I have some very high end items and work in a luxury capacity, so I know outstanding service when I see it. I was even more impressed when Mr. Castro took the time to send me a hand written note asking if my daughter, who he remember her name, was enjoying the skirt we bought. I get it, your level of expectation for customer service is a bit lower for "outlet shopping" ! But I do expect a higher standard from Brooks Brothers. Even though a $70 shirt sells for $40 you should still be greeted upon entering the store, approached while shopping and thanked upon departure. You know, "THE BASICS OF CUSTOMER SERVICE" ! The store was not that busy and they had plenty of staff-on-hand who seemed busy with tasks, not related to servicing the customers ( folding clothes, etc. ). We visited a number of other shops in this vast outlet mall and all of our other customer service encounters exceeded our expectations. It's really not that difficult, all it usually takes is management that makes service a priority, which obviously is not the case here. The worst service I have ever experienced. We spent over an hour with Luis- who seemed bothered when we would ask for a different size or color. Luis became incredibly rude and told my husband that he had an attitude when we questioned why we would have to pay for Brooks Brothers to send an item that they did not have in his size. We promptly left the store, called the Napa store and had amazing customer service from the Napa store (thank you Rahula!). Happy to give the Napa store our business- we will never go to Livermore again. read more
