Not a great company. The inspection work seemed very poor and the photos were terrible. The worst part is the unbelievable amount of text and email spam you get after using them. It is enough to pay for a service, but then to be added to some massive email / text blast is the worst. It makes the experience that much more unpleasant. I recommend using someone else. read more

Hired WIN Home Inspection to do an inspection on a new build home. Just wanted peace of mind and to know corners weren't cut for important things. Andy came out and explained everything as he went along. Received the inspection report later that night, and it was very thorough! We were able to identify a few important things that were addressed during the walk-thru with the builder and several less "severe" but certainly important to me cosmetic issues to be addressed. This is our first home, so we didn't really know what to expect about the process, especially with it being a new build. I think like most people, you don't expect to get new builds inspected, but my aunt (who is a realtor in CA) told me to get one anyway. At first I was like "great, another thing I have to figure out," but the process to schedule an appointment was so easy. We got a confirmation for the visit next day and we got reminder emails as well, so I knew they were on top of it. Andy showed up early, explained how the process worked, and then took us around the house and pointed out a bunch of things I wouldn't even think to check! I wasn't even sure if we were supposed to tag along for the inspection, but he made sure we were involved and explained all the things he saw. We also talked a little about the neighborhood, and how much it's changed in the past 5 years. It was a very pleasant experience! We also got the report same day, which was really nice since we could send it to the builder right away too. Luckily there wasn't anything major that he found, but we learned a lot about our home that we probably wouldn't have even thought about! Would definitely recommend. Paid for a home inspection because we were moving from out of state and buying before actually seeing the house. The Inspector missed a sign of a major leak from an upstairs tub showing on the ceiling of the floor below. We noticed it right when we walked in the front door but at this point it's past due diligence period. I could have negotiated with the seller but now we're way past that. The inspection had very little pictures. I've had multiple home inspections on other properties and they include all the pictures taken. This inspection only showed the items there was an issue with. When I pay for a home inspection I want the pictures of everything looked at. After speaking with the inspector who was nice and apologetic he offered to go back and look with infrared but it's past the point that I can negotiate so it's pointless. read more
