Horrible. I normally go to the location in Wheat Ridge which is awesome. I ordered 2 donuts and a breakfast sandwich. The donuts were not fresh and honestly didn't even taste like a Winchell's donut. I took a bite out of each one and had to throw them away. Also, at my normal location they actually cook your breakfast sandwich and it takes a few minutes. This place has premade sandwiches that they put in the microwave and are ready in 20 seconds. My crossaint was soggy and nasty. This place is terrible. Hire better workers. I was in Aurora on business last week. First off let me tell you I LOVED THIS CITY!! Seemed like a lot of really friendly nice folk. Secondly, this donut house was the BOMB! Good donuts, sketch service. First I called and simply asked for the hours, someone rudely replied "24hours." Then, I placed an order for delivery, arrived an hour later (understandable for a Holiday). So, it was nice they included two extra donuts free of charge (once again due to the holiday). I'll just never understand why delivery drivers don't carry change. Perhaps purposely? Order came up to $22. My boyfriend only had twenties, so decided to dig through some change. Instead of waiting, the delivery man snickered and had the nerve to tell my boyfriend he should be more "giving" since it's Christmas. You don't even deserve a tip for that attitude . So, I purchased a Groupon voucher for 5 breakfast sandwiches & 5 coffees at this location. Even after showing the clerk the address, he refused to honor the voucher, and tried to argue "That is not this location." I then attempted to purchase 2 donuts, the clerk insisted that I pay cash - would not accept my credit card, he stated "I am not going to run a credit card for $1.98" - regardless of the "VISA" sign on his door.. When I offered him a $100 bill (the only cash I had), he reluctantly opted for the credit card. I've already contacted Groupon to get my money back for the voucher at this location - I'll never go back. The worst part? I'm a cop, and I'm actually contemplating boycotting a donut shop!!! These are the best doughnuts, hands down. A certain chain (dunkin) has gone the route of frozen dough and don't even make theirs fresh at the stores. Other doughnut shops (krispy kream, lamares, voodoo) go the route of having the general generic doughnut and just put different glazes and toppings on it, which isn't impressive to me. This place is a chain, yes. But they make their doughnuts fresh and they have various types of dough. It may seem snooty to write a review on a doughnut shop, but I only allow myself a doughnut treat a couple times a year. So making it a worthwhile experience is important to me, and this place does. read more

Good chocolate glazed donuts, but the cake part of the donut (sometimes great and sometimes very flourlike.) This location does a better job than most Winchell's, but the quality varies. I would look very careful at the donuts to make sure all the flour cooks out as sometimes this does not happen. If they look good, buy the chocolate glazed. read more

The donuts are great! Food is awesome. That is not why im rating it the way i am. In terms of appearance the place is run down and a tad dirty. I went in here about a year ago to redeem a groupon for donuts. (There are always ongoing groupon deals for this location) and the guy at the counter was being really annoying and rude with me wanting to use the groupon. He let me use it, but the whole tone from him was really snarky and it just made me feel uncomfortable. Actually the dude working the counter all together made me uncomfortable...but that was like a while ago the last time i went....so hopefully he doesnt work their anymore or they are just better people. read more

The donuts are delicious! 2nd time visiting this place upon my visit to Denver. I enjoy the blueberry & chocolate covered donuts. I love how fresh & soft the donuts always are. The blueberry donut has fresh blueberries you can taste with each bite, unlike blueberry donuts I've tasted at other places. We'll be back on my next visit. read more

I have been a customer of this location for almost a year. I love it! The location is very busy so the stock is fresh. They are making doughnuts all day and open 24 hrs. I'm always changing my favorite up, and if I don't see it in the case, they might have some in back. The employees are wonderful! The atmosphere is perfect! Your local neighborhood doughnut shop, looks just like when you were a kid kind of place. Usually one only find neighborhood gems like this on the east coast. Everyone in Denver is so worried about gentrifying everything. Please don't change! I'm on my way now for a raised glazed with sprinkles! Yum! read more

I also purchased a Groupon for this location. Mine was for a 3 punch card of a dozen donuts each. The older gentleman that was "helping me" verified first that it was for this location (I had to help him work the phone). Then when I went back into the scanner part of the Groupon, he said, "No, we do not scan it. The Redemption button is black and it is usually green." When he took my phone and clicked the redemption button, I told him not to and that would inactivate the barcode. I clicked out of that and again asked him to scan it. He said they don't scan it, and where is my punch card? I told him I don't have one and he is supposed to give me one after he scanned the Groupon. He then accused me of already using the code and said I was trying to redeem twice. I told him I have not redeemed it and I only bought the Groupon a day before (the date is clearly stated on the Groupon). Then he took my phone again and clicked the "Redeem" button. Only then did a younger guy come over and try to scan my code. I then told him he can't do it now because the other guy already clicked redeem!!! The older guy then told me to "call Groupon" and get it straitened out! How about you fix the situation and just give me the punch card?! If you do not know how to use technology don't get a Groupon. Or, at the very least, have someone who knows how to operate a smartphone accept the Groupon. This total lack of customer service has made me a permanent Dunkin' girl!!!!! read more

This is a great Winchells store, the employees are friendly, even the ones at first look that you might think are jerks who don't care. That is one of the reasons I like this store though, I don't like dress codes and like to see people who express themselves through clothing and other outward features. After-all, it's just a donut shop. Anyhow, I made the mistake of checking out another donut shop that is closer to me, since I live in Parker we were without a donut shop until August 2012. Well that (bad) shop in Parker will nickel and dime you to death, eventually my $9 dozen turned into almost $20. Uh, it's just donuts, right? I am happy to drive an extra 10 miles to this Winchells and will continue to do so, I don't care if gas spikes at $20 a gallon I am going to this Winchells. Anyway, the donuts here are always good, never had a bad one, never had a bad experience with workers either. Thanks for making such a yummy treat!!!!! read more

Love this donuts! My daughter and I had made it a "tradition" to buy donuts every Friday for a treat during the weekend. They taste like homemade, the prices are great and the people very friendly. I personally love the Cinnamon donut and my daughter the Sprinkled donut. The place is very clean, although I would love to be able to sit outside during summer nights and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee (it is really good here too!) and my daughter one of their Tru-Moo chocolate milks, but the place needs some TLC (which doesn't diminish the quality of the donuts at all!). read more

Open 24 hours. Good donuts, better prices. Service isn't anything special but I have never had a truly 'bad' experience. Also cannot beat the 2 donuts and coffee for $3.
