Ham, egg, & cheese bagel with mayo

Today at 9am, I had a craving for a Winchell's donuts. I haven't visited a Winchell's probably since 1992. The guy working was super friendly and quick! He made a delicious bagel! Someone give this guy a raise. All these people complaining here - this ain't a fine dining experience.

I've tried giving Winchell's Donuts multiple chances, but it's consistently disappointing. Every single time I go, there's only one worker handling a line almost out the door. The wait is absolutely ridiculous for what ends up being a dry donut that tastes like it's been sitting out all day. Management, please hire more staff! It's frustrating to wait so long for a subpar product. Definitely not worth the hassle.

    Tasted dry, stale, no flavor

I can't believe they get four stars. I bought six donuts this morning for the first time at this location and they were terrible. My husband ate them and said he thought they we fare tasting. I will not be eating them at all, not a chance. They had no taste and they tasted stale. I picked them up at 10:00 on Saturday morning so they should have been fairly fresh at that time. I will not be returning.

What in the Dr Suess.... they served us some black eggs and Ham. But seriously this is gross.

Went Saturday. Evening... All I want are white cake, white frosting, rainbow sprinkles doughnuts. All day. Any time. One kind. They never have them. I should be skinnier.

Dry and raw doughnuts. Please don't eat here!

I was told they couldn't make a breakfast sandwich at 6am, even though it was 5:58am and the sign says "served all day".

Donuts are really good here, the pupusas are the best in the entire Coachella valley and the staff is the friendliest and very welcoming.

Ordered the New York style hot pastrami on rye with coleslaw and a Dr. Brown's Cream Soda. The pastrami was the highlight. Piled high, tender, and full of that classic deli flavor with just the right amount of richness. The rye bread held everything together well and had a nice bite to it. It's the kind of sandwich you have to take a second to look at before figuring out how to eat it. The coleslaw was fresh and crisp, a good balance to the sandwich, and the cream soda was cold and refreshing. Also ordered a slice of pistachio cake to go. Absolutely delicious. The place has that old school deli feel, busy but in a good way, and full of character. Service was friendly and efficient even with the crowd. Definitely a spot worth stopping at if you're in Palm Desert and want a proper deli sandwich.

Hostess and waitress were both professional and friendly. Our husbands ordered the pastrami, one in the and the other on a Kaiser roll. I split a turkey Sammy with my friend and we also split a root bear float. The pastrami was very tender and tasty and not at all too salty. Rye bread was good but too much bread with the Kaiser roll. Turkey sandwich was very dry and nothing to wow about. They served us pickles at the beginning of the meal which was good. Got a piece of chocolate cake to go as well as their rice pudding. Great experience but sandwiches are not worth the price.

The whimsical atmosphere dances with charm, delicate pastries gleaming behind glass, the soft hum of conversation, and an elegance that somehow feels both refined and warmly inviting. The table service is nothing short of exceptional, with staff who make each guest feel like an honored friend lingering over brunch in a French countryside café. Every dish arrives beautifully crafted and bursting with flavor, from buttery pastries to savory delights that comfort the soul and delight the senses. And one delicious secret worth savoring; do not leave without trying the homemade raspberry confiture. Its rich, bright sweetness paired with fresh bread or pastries is pure magic the kind of taste that lingers long after the last bite and calls you back again soon.

I found a table for two, and quickly received by chai and beignet, both of which were quite yummy. My friends hibiscus iced tea and macaron order took longer for some reason. But she liked both and they gave a free refill on the iced tea, which is great! Looking forward to trying some main dishes there soon. The French fries look great, the salad portions were large, and their French onion soup is vegetarian, which makes me so excited to try it...in the winter! It would be a super cute spot for a Mother's Day brunch or really any occasion, but is pretty laid back and casual. They do have outdoor seating as well...which I also looking forward to trying out in the winter, ha.

We went in "just to look" (famous last words) and walked out with 3 cupcakes: vanilla bean, red velvet, and salted caramel toffee... plus a mocha tres leches parfait because self-control is seasonal and clearly out of stock!! Every single bite was the kind of good that makes you close your eyes mid-chew and ignore whoever's talking to you. But let's discuss the real star: the frosting!!! I was fully prepared for standard whipped cream or buttercream vibes, and instead got this cloud-like, silky situation that tasted rich but somehow light enough to justify eating an entire cupcake without emotional consequences. Tiffany herself let me in on the secret.... it's Italian meringue buttercream. So basically, classy buttercream that went to finishing school. Tiffany is also an absolute gem... warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what she's baking up. You can taste the love (and the butter, but mostly the love)!!! If you're in the desert and your sweet tooth starts whispering reckless ideas, listen to it. And definitely support this family-owned local spot. We'll be back for "research purposes" and to satisfy our sweet tooth!!
