Winchell's Pub & Grill is a 24/7 American Restaurant, Bar, and Gaming type of place with three locations in Las Vegas. The North Las Vegas Location has the dining areas separate from the bar and gaming. The main dining room is a mix of traditional tables and booths. I picked a booth to sit at and it was very uncomfortable with busted springs. That is a shame because most people I saw dining here are very elderly with walkers and wheel chairs. This isn't a wine place. I tried a Bloody Mary. It was extra weak and had an unpleasant taste that turned my stomach. I couldn't drink it. My husband started with a cup of chili. He said that it was unseasoned and it was thick like a sloppy Joe. I tried the fish and chips. I had my choice of potato and picked the sweet potato fries. It was suppose to come with Cole Slaw but the Cole slaw never made it to my plate. I didn't complain about it because I tasted my husband's Cole slaw and didn't need it. The fish and sweet potato fries were prepared nicely but the fish was hard to eat because something wasn't right. It seemed unseasoned and there was something weird about it that I have no idea what it was. The tartar sauce also seemed unseasoned. I tried to fix it but that still didn't help the fish to taste better. I brought a lot home for my dogs. My giant Aussie thought it was very good. She was extra excited to eat it. She loved it. My husband tried the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. I tried a small piece of chicken. It wasn't hot at all and the dominate flavor tasted burnt to me. It also seemed like the wrong chicken because the menu says that you get thighs and this sandwich was made with white meat. This plate came with potato salad and slaw. The potato salad seemed very similar to what Costco sells and the slaw could use something to make it taste better. The server seemed nice and was good handling all the tables and take out orders herself. They give large portions and the food doesn't cost much here so I guess it's very good if you don't care what your food taste like. read more

Walking in I really liked the ambience. Casual bar area. Glass wall separate dining area for those that want to avoid the smoke. We chose a cute two person booth in the pub area. Mike the bartender/server was super cool. I really want to give a shout out to Mike. The food was very dang good and cooked to temperature as ordered. Unfortunately I have no desire to go back to Winchell's. I have been going to Winchell's for 20+ years and they used to have some of the best bar food. Too many things have changed and it's just not the same. I used to get nachos but those aren't good anymore. I got the California Dreamin' sandwich most recently. The chicken was dry, there were three thin slices of avocado... something a kid could do better making. Seemed like the fryer oil needed to be changed as well. The batter on the fish was dark and didn't taste too, and the chips were too dark too. Disappointing. The service was the only thing good, as our server was attentive and accommodating. read more

I am a regular and recently brought my boyfriend in because of the bartender that works grave (Tony is the man) is very efficient at what he does & friendly as well. Its a chill kind of vibe in here around this time, the food is always good no complaints on anything here its always a good interaction in this establishment. Great food & nice staff! We have been coming for years and appreciate the quiet environment.

I went here for the first time for lunch with my dad, and we sat in the restaurant section, off the side of the bar. That section has a little bit of a Denny's vibe to it, but it's okay. I would have probably preferred sitting at the bar, but my dad wanted something quieter. Our server, Stefanie, brought us menus and then took our orders quickly. She was a hoot, and gave us ample attention. I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken and fries, while my dad opted for the catfish (which he wasn't really supposed to be able to order at that time of the day, but they made an exception for him). The hot chicken and fries was a huge order, and while it was tasty, I had plenty left over to take home with me. My dad said the catfish was good. While we were eating, the kitchen manager, Craig, came out and introduced himself, shook our hands, and asked how we were enjoying everything. That was a nice touch. This may have been our first visit, but I doubt if it will be the last. read more

Monday, May 29, 2023 we were headed home, but opted to eat out for lunch after running an errand up in Blue Diamond. We were headed to Applebee's, but decided we had never been to Winchell's and we pass by all the time. So we turned around and decided on lunch at Winchell's. I was expecting the normal Pub look. We walked in and on the right is the bar area and on the left is the dining area. Two totally different vibes. There were several tables full of 4 to 6 guests each. I loved how the Fire Sprinklers looked like part of the decor. It's very comfortable and relaxing. You can also smoke by the bar, which is where Mystery Arm headed after giving his order. Mystery Arm had the Fish and Chips. The Fish was good sized portions. Instead of the Chips he opted for Tater Tots, and I love the little Fryer Basket they serve it in. Now the Cole Slaw, it was good and different, it had Walnuts and Cranberries and Pears. Mystery Arm enjoyed it and he usually doesn't like Walnuts. I had to get the Fried Zucchini which is served on a bed of shredded lettuce and topped with Tomatoes and Green Onions. The best I have had. I was between the French Dip, Triple Reuben or Gyro, the best way to decide is ask your server. Maria recommended the Triple Reuben. Great Recommendation, the portions were good and the bread was not greasy. I really enjoyed my lunch. Maria, such a pleasant and welcoming host. She refilled our drinks and brought us extra napkins before we even asked, that's the best thing. I always enjoy seeing those that enjoy what they do, it makes my meal much more enjoyable. We enjoyed our conversation with Maria. She made sure all her guests were enjoying their meals. Tried this location for the first time. My wife's steak was waaay under cooked, almost raw. My steak was overcooked, tough & dry. The service was TERRIBLE. What kind of server ignores a table with empty glasses? No "How is everything?". Some people have no business in food service. We were basically ignored. Interior needs improving. Too dark & depressing, old & worn. The location in Warm Springs & Gillespie is nicer, better food & better service. read more

Our waitress Stacey was awesome. My girlfriend had the Sliders with Onions Rings. I had the 16 oz Prime Rib, bake potato, grilled asparagus and salad was delicious ! My friend had 1/2 lbs hamburger and avocado, fries. His girlfriend had the special peper steak with rice. The ambiance of food was excellent! My boyfriend and his family love this place. They do take-out and dine-in all the time, so I was excited when they decided to take me. It's seat yourself I think (there was no sign) because his family just sat at a table. The server didn't take long to get to us but she wasn't ready I think. She didn't know the specials and seemed a bit lost. Everyone seemed to like their meals but I didn't. I got the southwestern salad and the tortillas on top were burnt and smelled of old oil. I just pushed them to the side but the salad inside wasn't that good either. Maybe they're used to customers who want salad filler more than lettuce because I could hardly find any but there were a lot of beans and pickled jalapenos. I been here a few times and the food and drinks were good. Staff has always been very friendly. Restaurant was clean and nice ambiance.

While staying in the area, we decided to order a few burgers for takeout from this restaurant. Unfortunately, the burger was not very good. There's absolutely no seasoning on the meat so it was flavorless. The meat quality overall is not very good. Sadly, This was the worst burger I've had in the entire area and that includes from fast food places . It came with shoestring style fries. They added some seasoning salt to mine so that was nice. They were OK but lukewarm when they were served so they went downhill pretty fast. Overall, I wasn't happy with the quality of our food, and I wouldn't return to this restaurant especially for a burger read more

We have been to this restaurant at least ten times in the last year. Their food is excellent. We have ordered many of their entrees, and each one has been exceptional. Our favorites have been the club, chicken fried chicken, and cuvée salad. Even the chef has come out to greet us several times. read more

Posting something new on my review , I went and had Prime Rib . I have to say that not every restaurant can cook a delicious Prime Rib ,and I have had some good one and This Prime Rib just adds to the list .it was so tender you didn't need a knife, asparagus was grilled, perfect, great flavor, and the baked potatoe was so fluffy and loaded was delicious. Went back for lunch after not eating here for quite some time. I had buffalo chicken fingers with chips and a side salad. I would skip the salad next time. The fingers and chips were solid. First time trying this 24 hour pub & grill, though my folks recommended it. The restaurant is separated from the bar by a wall of glass, which keeps the restaurant smoke-free. Unfortunately, the restrooms are through the bar, so there's no escaping cigarette smoke. The wait staff was friendly, though our waitress got caught up with a party and didn't get back to our table to refill beverages or check on us. I ordered the Cuvee Salad; which was huge! Very tasty with smoked gouda, apples, hearts of palm, grapes, candied Walnuts, chicken breast (tender and moist), and spring salad. I highly recommend; with vinaigrette on the side! I know they do a lot of item from scratch and you can really taste it. I ordered the catfish but was a little nervous about it because I am picky about my catfish. I was so happy to receive two big juicy and crispy fillets. Very good, not overly seasoned. Good tarter sauce. I would pass on the cole slaw next time because it's too sweet. BF got the nightly chicken caccitorre he didn't like as much. It was tossed in pasta, which is not how he's used to eating it. Bar was busy but we sat into the dining room which was almost empty. Well, I guess it was bound to happen....one of our favorite places just took a dump! Saturday night, we went in for drinks and a meal and that's when it all fell apart. We arrived and sat ourselves. When no one came, I had to get up and find my own menus. When the waitress finally arrived, we ordered drinks and an appetizer. We waited and waited ....and the waitress came back to take our drink orders. Whaaat?!?!? That's the first issue.....here's the list to make this easier to read: Waited forever for service. Had to ask three times for a glass. Appetizer took 30 minutes to come out (only 4 people in restaurant). Food came out-finally- and it was wrong!!! Waited another 20 minutes for my food to be corrected - wife was already done her meal! Waitress was simply horrible! Kept saying your food should be ready soon....and walked away. GM (Jeremy) had to serve tables because she couldn't handle 4 tables!! I did appreciate Jeremy comping the bill, but I'm sorry ...we won't be back! read more

I was there last Friday. Donna was the bartender, and she is such a joy - always very welcoming, always smiling, and very attentive. All the bartenders are Great - Cheri, Mike, Rob -- any shift, anytime . If you haven't been here - you got to check it out! The food is also really good - check out their specials -- always delicious- my favorite is the salmon and the coconut shrimp when they have it. We were in the parking lot picking something up from Dollar Tree and decided to try this bar since it was in the same lot. I looked them up on Yelp and saw that they had 4 stars, which is pretty great for any food place, so we said "what the heck, let's do this." I was too hungry to take a photo before eating at least one slider... Everything was sooo GOOD! I also had a dinner salad that hit the spot. The lettuce was cold, crisp and no brown pieces to be found (I have high lettuce standards, I will admit). I haven't had good bar food in over a year. They haven't limited their menu because of Covid and had a lot of options. So fresh, hot and delicious. If it was a stand alone restaurant it would still be better than the likes of Denny's/Ihop. We had my husband's retirement party at Winchell's on July 13th. We had it catered with spinach artichoke dip with crustini's, prime rib, mashed potatoes, sauteed veggies, meatballs & spaghetti, salad and chocolate cake. We had 40 people. Craving a Reuben Sandwhich on my birthday, we headed over to Winchell's. When we got there, we sat at the table the waitress said was clean. There was no silverware. The waitress was standing directly across from us shooting the breeze with a customer. After a while, my husband got us silverware from another table hoping this would prompt some service. Heck no. We waited and we waited, and waited. No "can I get you a drink", no menu, nothing. After about 10 minutes of this nonsense, I was done with it. It was not until we got up to leave and were at the door that she even acknowledged we existed since telling us which table was clean to sit at. My husband said that she was laughing as we left...not sure if at us for her ability to ruin our lunch or about her conversation with the customer she was still standing next to. read more
