Heard a lot of good things about Winco. So when I moved to this area, I decided to check it out. They have most of the products I buy and their prices were very competitive. Good to know that they provide a map of their store, it really helps find what your looking for quickly. The cashier was so sweet and genuine, she even took the time to grab me a coupon book when I told her that this was my first time here. They do sell quite a bit of bulk items, so I'm not sure if I will be back anytime soon. But, if I need anything in a punch and it's late at night, they are open 24/7 and this area felt safe. read more

I had to take my service dog inside with me and he happens to be very small. I was told in a very rude way that he either had to walk or I had to carry him. Which of course I couldn't carry him. With my small 8 lb service dog on the floor and carts flying everywhere I was truly afraid my dog was going to get hurt. I taken him into many stores and always put a wool pad under him in carts and never had a problem at any of them. Winco just lost a faithful customer. read more

WINCO here in Perris, and in MoVal are my new favorite grocery stores along with TRADER JOE's and SPROUTS in Riverside, which most of the time is too far for me to drive when I just want to pick up a few grocery items. I love that they have a good selection of various foods OTHER than just the usual boring Mexican oriented stuff. The best part of WINCO for me are the bulk items, and that is what I always purchase more of than anything else. I don't eat meat, so I don't care abut the quality of that particular food item. The prices are LOWER at WINCO than either Stater Bros, or Food4Less, and the store is much cleaner, and roomy as a warehouse with wider aisles, and less dirty, screaming, crying kids running around all over the place as you find at Food4Less. The other great thing about WINCO in both Perris and MoVal is that the parking lot is clean, and there are no seedy, dicey types trying to push tamales, perfume and CD on you either the way you find at Food4Less in Perris. That parking lot at Perris Food4Less is pathetic, and needs some serious policing and security. There is no such problem at WINCO. read more

Winco foods is great. I noticed that some of the items can get a little pricey. Such as a chocolate protein shake was four dollars. Also the lines are sometimes long. I am fine with bagging my own items. Overall Winco Foods is great. read more

This Winco is one of the better locations, a bit far from where we live, but a good stop to pick up some groceries on the way home from visiting friends in San Diego or Menifee area. The shelves are well stocked and clean. ?The bulk candy and grain bins are clean and fresh along with a working pen to write the price codes on the labels. The meat prices could run a bit high and the produce are comparable to other stores. It is helpful for shoppers to compare prices for different stores so that you can be well informed on the going rate of each item and which place carries the best deal. I have not tried the deli yet, but read in other reviews that the pizza and smoothies are worth it. There was a long line for the "drinking water" at 25 cents a gallon, so for those who find a need to purchase their drinking water, that is a good deal. Employees were keeping busy, cashier was friendly. This is an employee-owned establishment; customers bag their own groceries in order to keep the cost down...I know some people who prefer not to bag their own groceries and will avoid shopping at places that have this feature. I do prefer this location over the one in Moreno Valley. This location can be seen off the freeway in the same plaza as The Home Depot. read more

Variety of food offered here is great, growing up in Hawaii and missing sushi, I was happy to see that they offered a small assortment of premade sushi. The biggest down fall for me is that they do NOT accept credit cards, only cash and debit.. read more

Winco has a good selection of groceries I buy for myself and my family, and the prices are fair. The customer service is good; actually, a lot better than the one in Moreno Valley. Only complaint here is that the stockers are constantly slicing open boxed products, like Mac and cheese, hamburger helper, etc. you have to be careful and make sure your item isn't sliced open before you put it into your basket. I see a lot of that going on and they need to cut it down because that's a waste on their part. read more

I shop at the Perris WinCo every week. I spend upwards of 150$ on every visit. I like the bulk area. I but granulated garlic to fill the two bottles at home. They have been out of granulated garlic in the bulk area for over four weeks. Probably longer, but it was four weeks ago that I asked and was told they would get it that week. Yesterday...still no granulated garlic. I noticed that the garlic powder and garlic salt have been moved to that area. The two granulated garlic containers sit there...empty. Very disappointed because now I have to drive down to Trader Joes in a Temecula to buy two new bottles. It's the other place that sells spices at reasonable prices. The commercial spice merchants are out of control on the prices.... read more

Plenty of room. Carry most of my favorite products and some exciting new ones. Fair prices and nice selection of ready made foods. Wish they had bigger selection of meat cuts. I would shop here every Sunday but for the last two months their produce(which isn't the best quality) has been extremely awful. I would buy salad bags and days before they expire I would have to throw them out because the lettuce was red and getting that slim when lettuce goes bad. This is happening so often that I have probably throw out a good $75 or more. My sister shops at stater bros and doesn't have this problem so I know it's not my refrigerator. I called the manager after throwing away two bags of salad that was marked to be expired not for another 4 days. I informed him of what has been going on and that I think he should make sure the cooling system in that department works. I wasn't mad or anything but was more frustrated as I don't have time to drive there every other day to return these salads. Anyways it would have been nice if he offered a refund over the phone but he didn't. I wasn't expecting a refund but after explaining how often I have to throw away salad bags that aren't close to the expiration date I would have thought he would at least offer me a refund on the two bags I called about but he didn't. I won't be shopping here anymore and I want everyone to be aware of their produce. Go somewhere else for produce or just don't shop there. What you save on items you end up throwing away so you really don't save anything. read more

I Love this store. They have anything and everything you need. They give you $.06 credit towards every recycable bag you bring in, they have amazing prices and they take coupons...so everytime I go I save a great deal....I am there every 2-3 weeks and they are friendly and I find everything I need. read more

It's the best price you can get for grocery. I do not mind bagging my own groceries (I do it better than full service grocery stores anyways...eggs and bread do not go underneath canned goods). I like this location better than the others. And normally, I would give all five stars, but I noticed today, 1) they raised several prices (e.g., tuna and veggies, frozen and fresh), and 2) they took away many Winco generic products (i.e,. the Hy-Top brand). This generic brand is usually 10 cents or more less expensive than other brands (but it's the same exact thing when you read the labels). That kind of bummed me out since I went specifically there today for a few items I needed only to find they were not selling them anymore. Bummer. read more

I love to shop @ Win-Co since moving to Sun City, CA. We went there yesterday & the Perris store only had 2 electric riders. One was in use & a gentleman was waiting for the 2nd chair. Since I'm 79 years old & fractured my sacrum in Sept I am unable to walk around the store. My daughter drove me to the WalMart about 5 miles up the freeway where I proceeded to spend over $150. Needless to say, if Win-Co had a few more electric carts for the disabled & elderly, that money could have been spent there. Help us out in this area please! read more

Prices are very reasonable and the shelves are well stocked. I like the option of self check out when j have only a few items.

I use to shop here all the time but I've went in to many times and the meat is so nasty nothing but fat. Also you need to keep an eye out on what you bought and how much it was marked each time I get to checkout its nothing but drama because things are price wrong. It's such a pain so buyer beware. WinCo is usually my go to. My boyfriend and I shop there all the time. So we know the routine and since we usually go to self check out we make sure we have codes for everything. Today I decided to get their brand of single served coffee cups. I was looking for the codes for the coffee cups but I must of read the signs wrong so I said, "oh well maybe someone up front would know." I continued shopping and went to the self checkout line. We used our own bags and processed to check out. When it came time for the coffee cups I went to the item look up tab and didn't see them. So tried the keyword and entered coffee and it said I had entered to many letters. I tried different things and at this point my boyfriend tried it and rang the things under the bulk coffee. As I was telling him that wasn't the right one, the gall working self checkout said that wasn't the right code, I asked if she knew the code and told me to step aside. I moved over and she asked me how many there were, I remember the dollar amount I got was about $6-8 dollars since they're 50 cents each. So I said, "um 6 or 8," being flustered she counted them and told me there were 10 cups (so that would be $5). My sister tried to make light about situation since she can tell I was flustered but She was not having it. She then walked off with a pissy face. Sorry I wasn't trying to rip the company off we shop there all the time. There's no need to be mean or cranky. There was only a $3 difference between the two. I have worked retail before and being rude to people doesn't work. I've worked at places with self check out and people ring thing up wrong all the time things happen. Good selection & prices. Employees hog most of the closest parking spots. Best to go in the mornings especially on a Sunday. Pissed me off they replaced the stack of red carry baskets with a trashcan. Probably a lame attempt to get you to buy more. I do notice cold food is sometimes close to the expiration dates so be sure to check. The self checkout weight sensors aren't too pissy about item weight. read more

Don't let this store chain deceive you into thinking you are getting a better deal here just because it's very spacious and they have products stacked to the ceiling to give you that "Costco" effect. I shop all the time and I pay very, very close attention to prices by volume and weight. I have discovered only two items in Winco that I paid less money for and they were bottled water and mixed nuts from the bulk foods department. And for this reason we have to pack our own groceries??? Are you kidding me??? I have found most products in Winco to be priced equally to those in many other area stores. I have found brand name soda to be far less expensive in other stores. With resepct to groceries, they are about the same price as most items in Stater Bros. Walmart groceries are, for the most part, less expensive compared to the same items that Winco carries. Additionally, Walmart bags your groceries and so does Costco whose prices beat nearly EVERYTHING in the Winco inventory. Winco produce was expensive, not as expensive as Stater Bros or Vons, but far more expensive than Sprouts. While nearly the entire inventory of Sprouts is exceedingly over priced, their produce is not. It's the best and freshest produce available and the cheapest priced and Winco doesn't even come close!!! I was amazed to find that this Winco location carried only two brands of paper towels. There paper towels were far, far more expensive by weight and volume than Stater Bros and Walmart who have an prodigious variety of selections which results in COMPETITION. I attempted to share my discoveries with a Winco customer services representative at this store location just for their own edification and knowledge, however, she took my findings personally. She interalized what I conveyed and appeared offended. (Hint - If you work in customer service - listen to your customers - they are trying to tell you how to improve - they pay your paycheck) She told me that I was free to shop in other stores and that I did not have to shop here. I told her that was not my point. My objective was to simply share with them which items cost more in Winco than other stores for their own knowledge and edification. I would continue to shop at Winco if they bagged my groceries. I just don't understand why the customer has to bag their own groceries here. This is simply ridiculous!!! read more

If I can give a zero star I would. I recently went grocery shopping on Tuesday and I went to the Winco in Perris. Some of the food I purchased I discovered had bugs in it. I'm completely appalled and disgusted by this discovery. In a sealed package of rice there was a web and cacoon in the rice. Also some cornbread box I bought from there had a bug inside the cornbread mix. The noodles had bugs in it. I'm completely horrified by this and upset. I wasted my money and I had to clean out everything due to this issue. This is completely unacceptable and I'm frustrated as a customer to have to deal with something of this magnitude. As a shopper, you shouldn't have to dissect every thing you put into your shopping cart and asses the freshness of your product. I purchased food from this location and discovered the expiration date expired after unfortunately tasting the food and it having an off taste. Im outraged by this and I seek immediate resolution to rectify this issue and incident. As a customer, I have been greatly let down and will not be returning to Winco and will be taking my money elsewhere. I will also be discouraging my family and friends to not shop here.
