My local Food 4 Less is awesome!! The employees are always happy and helpful. I've had multiple great experiences, however, last weekend, I went to the meat counter again and encountered one of my favorite employees. Lulu is AWESOME!! I first noticed her helpfulness, friendliness and all around awesomeness when I went there to get ingredients to make Menudo. I couldn't find everything I needed. I went to the meat counter to ask for specific items...we ended up chatting about what I was making. Last weekend, she helped me again. No matter how early it is, she is always pleasant and happy...happy to help and not bothered...case and point. I asked her to let me take a picture of her and she didn't have any qualms about it. I was doing my regular grocery shopping in the morning and I noticed that none of the checkout stands were open only self checkout. As someone who is not tech savvy I found it very difficult to use and was constantly asking for help. Not to mention my along with other customers who have a full cart and with only the checkout stand being open it took a while to scan all my stuff even with the worker teaching me how to scan the produce!! So from now on I would much rather do my grocery shopping at Stater Bros where regular checkout out is ALWAYS OPEN and I won't have to use self checkout only like at food4less When I go shopping in the mornings! read more

I've been shopping here for years and I've never been treated so rudely as I was today by Ginger, who was pretty much in mine and my fiances face while we're in line talking about switching lanes, screaming at us express lane. Mind you we are counting items not to have any issues she stops looks at us and yells express lane as we are walking until I finally said something and yelled back aren't you in customer service. After that she left so fast I had to ask someone else for her name. She seems to possibly be a manager but regardless of this pandemic Ginger needs a course on customer service. read more

I was in the meat section and told the lady to give me 6lbs of the ranchera meat and we told her if they were able to cut down the meat alil more and she said she was going to tell the manager in the back he said he couldn't so we were like Watever then when she weighed the meat it was at 7lbs she said we couldn't pass over 6lbs or over 50$ so she took out the meat and the pass was at 51$ horrible service at the meat section. I bought it on May 2nd and it had an expiration date of 04/28/19 REALLY -_- and when I called the store and told the lady [[felicia]] she literally acted like it had already happened before with another customer. I typically go in the morning and night crew is always in the way of everyone, stocking should be finished before the store opens. The other day I asked worker Tony for an item and he rudely responded to me that whatever was on the shelf was all we had. He didn't go out of his way to look on the pallets that were out on the sales floor. Very rude customer service. read more

The store is OK in a pinch because it's close by, but I am going to pretty much stop purchasing groceries there due to the amount of scary, dicey type people and really annoying illegal vendors and Tamale Pushers that hang around the parking lot in front of the store. There doesn't seem to be anyone in charge that is interested in forcing them to clear out, so that to me shows lack of respect and caring for their customers. I barely get out of my car when someone is yelling TAMALES? at me, or MOVIES? or PERFUME? . There even seem to be drug purchases and hooker connections going on in that very parking lot in front of FOOD4LESS too. I certainly hope that the CEO of this store hires some STRICT security guards, (some perhaps even without a uniforms), to chase off or else impose steep fines on all the riff raff that congregates in this strip mall, and especially in front of Food4Less grocery store. Maybe these parasites need to pay rent for the space they are taking up in the parking lot. If the store does nothing about getting rid of these irritating people, they will lose many of their shoppers such as me that hate walking past the annoyance and intimidation just to pick up a few grocery items on the way home. read more

Horrible experience. Purchased Kroger eggs from here. Cracked one open to make for breakfast and bloody chunks come pouring out. Sick! So I wrote their corp off and the person had the audacity to try to tell me spots of blood are a sign the egg is fresh. Im not a part of the FDA but im sure cooking chunky bloody stuff that poured out of an egg isnt what customers sign up for when they purchase eggs! read more

Decent prices, especially when they have a special going on. I love their meat department. The meat is fresh, there is a wide selection, and their prices are very reasonable. My only issue is that the cleaning product that they use around the meat department is very pungent and unappealing. It may seem silly, until you find yourself looking to buy meat & there's an awful chemical smell. I know it's unfair to equate the smell of cleaning solvents to the quality of meat, but there you are. read more

I went to food 4 less two days ago . I really had to pee, so I quickly made my way to the bathroom . In the bathroom , I discovered only two stalls , one available. When I entered the stall, there was shit EVERYWHERE . On the floor , toilet seat, and walls . I was highly disgusted and Immediately asked for the restrooms to be cleaned . I was then told it would be mopped I didn't even have to pee anymore . The bathrooms overall made me leave this establishment . read more
