If I was able to give negative stars, that would sum up my review. 2 months ago Wind sent Vinnie to repair my 2 drawer dishwasher. The problem was that the bottom drawer was leaking. Vinnie came into my home and pretended to know what he was doing. He arrived with solely his cell phone, no tools. He slid the unit out from my counter approx. 6 inches. He then opened the bottom drawer and shined a light in and said, "hmm I don't see anything, it's not leaking". I asked if he was going to pull the drawer out to check behind it. His reply was, "I suppose that I could". He then proceeded to Google how to remove the drawer. I asked if he was familiar with this unit? His reply was, "Very". He roved the drawer, and shined his cell light behind. Again he said that he didn't see any problem. I put my eye to the small opening which he creating by sliding the unit out. I said to him, "Clearly you can see the pool of water behind the unit." He looked again and replied, "oh yea". He then proceeded to tell me that the service charge will cover me for another tech to come in, or I can pay additional money to have the unit pulled and taken to the shop. He pushed the unit back, I gave him a check, and he left. I noticed the side of my cabinetry was chipped from him either pulling the unit out, or pushing it in. I ran to get him from his truck. He returned to my home and we noted the damage on the ticket. In addition, he attempted to open the bottom drawer, which would not budge. It then took him an add'l 30 min to re-align the bottom drawer that he had installed incorrectly. I called Wind immediately and spoke to the General Manager, Darren. He apologized and promised to come to my home that week to access the situation. I have now called 5 more times, as Darren never showed up, nor did I ever hear back from them. The "manager" Steve told me today that Darren is stationed in TX, and only shows up periodically. He said that he would pass on the message, and no one else could assist me. I requested the owners name, which Steve refused to furnish. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS CO. They will create more headaches than just your broken appliance!! read more

Very Very upset with the work done by this company! They took a machine that was working 95% of the time and made it non- operational and then claimed it was not fixable under the service contract. To make matters worse I have to formally send them a letter to release me from their service contract even though the machine is no longer functioning. To Whom It May Concern: Please be advised that we are no longer in need of the extended warranty contract number 337560339 on our Whirlpool washer model number WTW8200YW0 serial number C14670449 as the machine has been deemed unrepairable by your company despite the fact that it is just a little over 3 years old. The technician was called because the spin/drain cycle was not working properly with very heavy loads like beach towels or bathroom rugs (it is a X- large capacity machine). It was working fine with all other cycles and clothes. He identified the repair, came a week later, attempted to fix it, then told me there was another problem with a rusted part. After "his repair" the machine no longer works AT ALL and Im told any further repair will not be covered under warranty due to "rust" which was not noted the first time. The whole situation sounds like a scam and I would be very hesitant to do business with your company again. Why wasn't I even shown the rusted area? Maybe because it didn't exist? A dryer directly next to the machine has been there for 8 years with no signs of rust. I am disappointed by your rust exclusion and explanation that the machine can not be fixed due to a rust issue that a. seems improbable due to age of machine and the condition of other metal items in the room and b. was not noted the first time but mentioned only after the machine no longer worked. Im now left with a non-working machine instead of one that was working 95% of the time and told I have no choice but to replace it. Needless to say I will be posting online reviews regarding this situation to warn other potential consumers of how your company does business. read more

We had the best experience w/ the company !! We would definitely use them again & recommend them. The office was courteous & punctual & fixed our very expensive 4 year old Jennair Stove in a short time & explained to us in detail what may have caused the problem & cleaned everything up neatly. They called us a half hour before to let us know they were on their way & we had to cancel on short notice & reschedule due to a family issue & they rescheduled us a few days later. They are extremely professional & very fair in price. To think we almost didn't use them because of the reviews. We had to write this because it seems people only write bad reviews never any good ones. So I have to say we are extremely happy in every way w/ their service & knowledge. Was very surprised to see the negative reviews about Wind Service. My experience was extremely positive. My Kitchen Aid refrigerator stopped working properly after 1 and 1/2 years. The problem was related to uneven cooling and the collection of ice behind the bins at the bottom of the refrigerator. Wind Service sent their representative, Octavio A. He was extremely courteous ,efficient, and friendly. He arrived at the time he said he would and resolved the situation in two visits. The first visit was diagnostic and the second was installing a new fan and housing unit. Octavio cleaned up and removed all extraneous material. His work and demeanor was very professional. I am reading some reviews, and am very surprised at how some are so negative..I have had nothing but a positive experience with Wind..I used them 2 and a half years ago, for my Kitchen aid dishwasher and the repairman was very courteous, polite, and very professional..knew what he was doing...I had a different company come to repair my Kitchen aid refrigerator, and the General Keystone company was HORRIBLE, and did not fix the freezer...Wind came in to pick up where General Keystone left off and could not repair, and once again, WIND came in, figured out the problem, and fixed my refrigerator...Very fast, very competent, I highly recommend WIND Service..I am very happy with customer service, as well as the repairman, Octavio read more

I have a Whirlpool dryer which I purchased at P.C. Richards and luckily I opted for the 10 tear warranty. It developed a skreeching sound when starting. I called and was set up with Wind repair service the next day! They sent Cesar to repair and he new exactly what the problem was just from the description. He put on booties without having to ask. Expertly took apart the machine and repaced the worn out bushing in no time. Ceasar was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Could not ask for a better service call. Called Wind Service on Tues. Technician, Dave, arrived Thursday morning after a call around 9 that the repairman would be at my house between 9:30 and 12:30. Fixed the console/wiring problem in 5 minutes. Also advised me that if this happens a third time (it happened before in 10/16), I will need a new console at a cost of $300+. Appreciated the responsive service (could not expect same day), knowledgeable repairman, and communication re what to expect the next time this happens. All helpful. read more

After reading all the negative reviews i was surprised. I had a wonderful experience. I will say the first company whirlpool sent was horrible. Then they sent Alvin from Wind Company. Nice guy, knowledgeable, the part was ordered and two days later Alvin was back, part installed, all good. My washer was still under warranty; so there was no cost involved to me. I had a very positive experience with a washing machine repair a few days ago. Another company diagnosed a main computer problem and suggested that I purchase a new machine instead of a costly repair. Whirlpool suggested that Wind diagnose and David came and was professional, informative and diagnosed a bad hub in a matter of minutes. He made sure that my repair was included in the 5 year warranty. I highly suggest Wind for Whirlpool repairs. read more

Received prompt and courteous reply to my initial request for manufacturer's warranty repair of Maytag washer purchased November 2017. Two servicemen showed up during 3rd NE'er @ 9:30 and left by 9:50. Replaced faulty capacitor. Everyone was helpful, knowledgeable and experienced, brought necessary parts with them, no trips for extra parts, etc. Definitely recommend them for future, which hope will not be necessary for long time. read more

Had a new trash compactor installed, the door would not open with the custom wood panel attached to the front. Paul took the time to considered several options to find a solution to the problem. He was able to find a way in which the unit opens with the foot pedal without necessitating installation of a handle on the front. We are very happy with the service. read more
