    Steak Frites
    Meagan W.

I've been here a few times because it's a very pretty waterfront restaurant but the food was lacking this time. I ordered the steak frites and it came out super overdone and charred so the waitress offered to take it back. 20 minutes later they brought me another super charred overdone steak. Overall still a nice experience and super pretty waterfront restaurant but if you're not gonna order fish I'd stick to the cheeseburger the steak was a waste of my time.

The family loves this place. From the kids to adults. So any excuse to celebrate someone's birthday here we are. As always the service is phenomenal. They accommodated 10 of us and worked with us to get us all inside. The food here never disappoints and leaves you wanting more. The prices are great as well. Besides all the yummy stuff I've tried, this time I tried their tuna tartare and wow. The super crispy wontons are to die for. The sauce was the best I've ever tried. We also tried their calamari and it was cooked to perfection. Next time I will try their Poke bowl. Make sure to call for reservations as this place is always packed. They can sit you in and out in the summer but depending on the time you may have to wait. The place is always beautiful with so many flowers. So you can enjoy the view while you wait. Order a beer and even play some games. There's also a kids playground in the back. So you are, all set in this place.

We were party of 5 and asked to have drinks on the hi tops on deck while we waited for our table. Beautiful night and good Margaritas...I ordered the pasta with chicken . My friends had a pizza , lobster carbonara and burnt pork butts and lobster avocado. Dinner was good we finished with a piece of carrot cake. Our server was great .! Thanks for a nice evening . Highly recommend

I'm a frequent diner at dog watch. The food is always good, fresh and quick. Today I had the tuna Bomb. It was delicious and a fun new dish to add to the menu.

    Our view

We were looking for a reasonably priced dinner in or near Mystic. We found Dog watch Cafe and we were very pleased. The food was fresh. The service was friendly and professional atmosphere is better than the pictures provided my Fiance and I look forward to going back again soon, definitely Reccomend. I had the cod sandwich lightly blackened, they did for me and my fiancé had the fish and chips. We both loved our meals.

December 2025 A local recommended this for a good afternoon lunch. The place is small but is right on the pier and you have fun views of the boat yard and water. The menu offers everything from soups and salads to scallop meals and sandwiches. Extremely well priced. There are about a dozen tables and a few high tops as well as a bar for seating. Parking is across the street. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. I wish they had brewed iced tea, but they said it only comes from the fountain. Ick! Ordered a bowl of clam chowder soup. Very creamy and good flavor. The clams seem to be gritty. Probably could use a good rinse before they are cooked. But overall, the flavor and consistency our clams and potatoes with each bite was nice. Ordered the cod sandwich with onion rings. The cod sandwich is quite large. Served on a brioche bun with tomatoes and lettuce and a lemon wedge It was served piping hot. The fish, although large and presentation was nice, it lacked flavor. The batter was not completely cooked toward the meat of the fish. You get your choice of side and we had onion rings. They were standard side, but cooked to perfection. Overall, I was pleased with this restaurant. I would give the ambience a five out of five, the weight staff service was five out of five and the food would be a solid four. I would definitely come back to this restaurant.

    Blackened Salmon Sandwich

Had a nice meal here! Parking very easy with a large lot. Easy to make reservations! Our table was nice right by the window and would've been a nice view of the water if it was light outside! Inside is cozy. Menu has a variety of options and they all sound good. We started with the burrata capers bruschetta and really liked it. Flavors all delicious but the grilled baguette pieces were a little skinny and hard to put the toppings on to stay. I ordered the blackened salmon sandwich and really liked it! Bread was crispy and ingredients tasted fresh. It came with a side as well. I was very full after this meal and had leftovers for another meal! Overall great meal!

Stopped for dinner while in town, didn't make a reservation but we were able to grab a couple seats at the bar. Steve the bartender was amazing. We had drinks and dinner and it was delicious. We had cod and scallops and both were fresh and not over cooked. We will definitely stop back in for lunch or dinner before we head home!

The service was excellent and they were able to keep up with the crowd. My favorite out of the apps off of the happy hour menu was the tips and mash. They were cooked medium rare, just as we ordered them, so tender and flavorful! The dipping sauce complimented the steak perfectly and the mashed potatoes were fantastic. The fish bites were also incredibly delicious. They are basically little bites of fish and chips with tartar sauce. We had 4 orders and all were gone. The meatballs were also a hit...they were flavorful, cooked just right and the sauce was very good. Definitely would recommend them. The pizza was ok, basic bar pizza. The drinks rolled in and all of them were good pours...no complaints at all and great happy hour prices.

Both of us loved our drinks and dinner (I had the pork chop - out of this world). Cool bar setup too. Cozy spot on cold night. 5 star experience and we will be back. Now the bad. Had reservations and noted in the reservation that we didn't want to sit next to the garage doors/windows because it was single digits outside and those tables are cold. The place was empty when we arrived. Hostess noted our reservation request and said the system is showing a table near the window. I said "there's 15 open tables away from the windows, can't we sit someplace else." She said "the system is saying to sit there". What happened to customer service? so we sat at the bar - see above. And over half the open tables when we arrived were never occupied before we left?? Very odd experience there.

Having made the trek, I'm really glad we did. We ordered the branzino special, prepared Spanish-style with sausage and tomato confit, along with the grilled salmon in beurre blanc. Both were outstanding. There is a kids' menu (contrary to one of the other reviews) , and I have to say the service was exceptional. I was dining with my young daughter during prime dinner hour (around 8), yet we never felt overlooked. The staff was attentive, warm and genuinely welcoming. The setting is wonderful - an old historic house right in the heart of the village. I'd absolutely recommend Jeremiah's and will make a point of returning whenever I'm back in Mystic.

Jeramiah's is serving main‑character energy from the moment you walk through the door. This place…read moredoesn't just do dinner -- it stages an experience. Think elevated steakhouse meets coastal charm, wrapped in a vibe that says, "Relax, you're about to eat very, very well." Let's start with the amuse bouche, because honestly, more restaurants should bring this level of ceremony to the table. A tiny, perfect bite that sets the tone -- thoughtful, flavorful, and just indulgent enough to make you lean back and say, "Oh, we're doing this tonight." The drink specials? Dangerous in the best possible way. Creative without being gimmicky, balanced, and clearly crafted by someone who knows their way around a shaker. You can tell they're not phoning it in -- these cocktails have personality. And then... the prime rib. The star. The reason you cancel your other dinner plans. Tender, deeply seasoned, and cooked with the kind of confidence that only comes from a kitchen that knows exactly what it's doing. Every slice feels like a small celebration. Service is top‑tier -- warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making the night feel special. The staff strikes that perfect balance between polished and personable, and the whole place hums with a relaxed, upscale energy that makes you want to linger. Now, the one critique -- and it's a real one: no kids' menu. I love a good Wagyu moment, but a $28 Wagyu burger for a six‑year‑old feels... ambitious. Delicious, sure. Practical? Not so much. A couple kid‑friendly options would go a long way for families who want to enjoy a great meal without taking out a small loan for the under‑10 crowd. But even with that quirk, Jeramiah's absolutely earns its five stars. It's a standout dining experience -- thoughtful, flavorful, and confidently elevated without ever feeling pretentious. A must‑visit for anyone who appreciates great food, great service, and a night out that feels like an occasion. Cheers
