I really wanted to like this place. The menu looks good and diverse. Just wasn't prepared for the prices. It seemed like everything was priced for an event. Like at Cosm or the ballpark, pricier than average, but you are there for an experience. There was no experience with my visit. Just an empty dining room at lunch time. I bet it really livens up when there is live music. The service was fantastic. They were all professional and welcoming. I don't think I'll be back for food anytime soon. I work in the area and am usually looking for more reasonable options on my lunch break. Maybe for a beer after though! They had some really nice styles on tap for only $5 and crowlers to go if you wanted.

There is no way to know the menu prices before coming. Its a digital menu with price shown after opening each item individually. Starters are $15-20 and mains all about $30. Plates are good small bites for sharing. I appreciated that every menu item had a picture of the dish. Service was great and atmosphere too. Very cool inside, not a bad seat to be had if your coming to see the music. The food was good with interesting flavor but I didnt like the preparation. The paneer was cold and bland but mint chutney sauce was great. The aloo chat had dense thick potato patties which I didn't like but the sauce was great, just too much sauce ratio for the potato patties. Overall its premium prices for dishes that could have been better.

Came in for a private company holiday event. I've never heard of this place, but I was very excited to try it! The interior and ambiance were beautiful. It was a buffet style dinner, but the Tandoori chicken and Samosas were the best! Overall, this experience definitely left a call for me to come back one day. Some foods that were served included: Fenugreek Paneer, Dill Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken, Dill Butter Chicken, Broccoli Falafel, Samosas, Rice, Naan Bread, Mint Chutney, Guava Sauce, Cheesecake/Brownie dessert, etc. What stood out to me the most was the Tandoori Chicken and Samosas with Guava sauce. I would definitely love to come back to get it again! Also, it was my birthday when we had the company event. They had brought out a celebratory dessert for my birthday which was very sweet. It was a unique matcha mango cake which we all enjoyed. Service was great especially since it was about 20+ of us and it was an open bar. Our one server and one bartender did a great job keeping up. Overall, the company I worked for had made an amazing choice of choosing this restaurant. Thank you so much!

First time checking out Windmills it's an Indian fusion restaurant but primary modern twist to Indian food. Offering a wide variety of classic Indian dishes along with kebabs, burgers, and steak dishes. There's something here for everybody! We enjoyed all the food items honestly, the chaat was a favorite along with the chicken croquettes! The desserts were all 10/10 and did not disappoint. If you are in the area, definitely recommend checking it out!!

Previous experience was just a beer at the bar but was so impressed by the beautiful atmosphere we made a trip back. Unsure and having never tried Indian cuisine, we were hesitant but our waiter made some great recommendations and we're sold. Fabulous experience all around. People complaining about prices are unfair, $$$ is clearly listed and are on the menus. You are getting exceptional quality food and drink with matching service and atmosphere.

What a gem! Delicious food, great venue, and amazing beers. First of all, this place is built for music - from the way the wood walls are perforated to the library. Tues and Thurs 6-8pm there is a live pianist and o the weekends there are ticketed shows. When there isn't love music, the library is a real library and you're encouraged to peruse the books while there. The beers are fantastic! A flight is only $10 for 5 pours and the full size beers are only $5 for their craft beer. The selection was great! The food is pricier ($30-40/entree) but honestly that evens out with the beer price, and is especially worth it for a live music venue. The paneer lababdar was amazing - creamy, spiced, and very mildly spicy!! My only suggestion is they should consider cheaper lunch prices since there's no live music and portions could be smaller at those times. Finally, everyone was friendly. Such good vibes. I highly recommend.

This location is got a very eclectic menu, but I will say it is primarily influenced by Indian flair. We arrive for dinner around 545 6 o'clock and there was more than enough tables and seating available. This location does have live music that performs later on in the evening. We were a group of four and we're seated right away. Our server was a little standoffish and not the most friendly person. Kind of seem like it was an inconvenience for us to have come in. I opted for their baby back ribs, and found them to look delicious, and the meat was incredibly tender and was easily pulled off the bone, but their barbecue sauce definitely had a kick to it to the point where I could actually only eat two of the four bones that were on my plate. I wish that the green apple and arugula salad would've been a little bit more prevalent to add an additional cooling factor to the meal. I did opt for their chai old-fashioned and as somebody who loves chai, I did not like this combo. Was just

Windmills offers a unique dining experience with its Indian western fusion food selections and musical performances to accompany them. I visited for the first time and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. My friend and I ordered the Karara Paneer and the Cheese Poppers. Both were very crispy and flavorful. The paneer was excellent paired with the mango and mint dip, which was the perfect amount of tangy. I also enjoyed the cheese poppers (think jalapeño poppers) as they were spiced really well. I definitely want to go back for their happy hour from 3-6 pm on weekdays and try their signature cocktails and some Indian inspired entree dishes.

Private event space upstairs worked out great! This is the view coming out of the elevator.

I came here to attend a private retirement party on a late Thursday afternoon. The party was held upstairs, which is open to the main floor. There wasn't live music at this time, which I would probably really enjoy in a future visit. The restaurant had a relaxed, chill vibe and the service staff was excellent! They attended to everyone's needs with a smile. I'm probably not the best to judge Indian food because I have a very bland palette. I mean, who orders a hamburger at an Indian restaurant? That would be me! It was delicious by the way! There is an elevator right near the entrance, so it was easy to get up to the second floor. The bartenders were excellent and asked questions to find out what our preferences were. The sound level was also excellent because everyone could converse easily without shouting over annoying background music. I would highly recommend this venue for small private gatherings as long as live music isn't happening on the main floor.

The bartender was so nice & her name was Raquel & she is fairly new, but so acknowledge of the menu which is a plus because it was my 1st time. The food was very flavorful & the crème brûlée was really good because that could be a hit or miss. I will be back on a night they do live music!

I came here for my birthday and it was the perfect decision. The mezze platter and stuffed naan appetizers were so flavorful, all of the sauces on the platter were incredible. Our waitress was exceptional, she took the time to recommend beers and food based on what we were feeling, and she was spot on. For mains we ordered chicken biryani, butter chicken and a falafel burger and we had nothing but amazing things to say about the food. Each food item is paired with a drink on the menu so you know exactly what to order with it! The restaurant itself was also very cool. We went during lunch when it was not crowded and there was no music, but now we want to go back when they have a performer there! We will be back!

Amazing restaurant that fulfils the need to showcase elevated Indian cuisine at its finest! The ambiance is extremely well decorated, modern, architectural and stylish. They thought carefully of how the ambiance should be from the wooden twist tables and consoles, to the frameless entry of the restrooms to the artistic book corner. Now for the real reason we come here.. to eat! As mentioned the cuisine is elevated fine dining of Indian food. Windmills seems to have put into perspective, fighting off notion that Indian food CAN be made in a tasteful, high end and innovative with their explosion of flavour. This isn't your mom and pop Indian restaurant (although it's good), this is somewhere you can go for a celebration, fun birthdays-- an experience! The menu is presented on a tablet and I ordered the lamb kulcha (naan bread stuffed with minced lamb), braised pork salad, guava chicken, kerala beef fry, and finish off with rose berry mocktail. I highly recommend all the dishes as they are flavourful with all sorts of textures! I can't say I prefer one more to the other because everything was delicious!

My husband and I recently stopped in the Windmills for a drinks on a Friday afternoon. This is an absolutely gorgeous restaurant. The layout is bright and clean with stunning aesthetics. They brew their beer on site, and have a wide variety for every palette. And their sampler is only $10 to try 5! We had amazing service from Ella who was super friendly and informative. We will definitely be back sometime soon to try the food menu! Thank you again, Ella! :)

No prices on the menu pics or on the website, sounds like a red flag. Is there pricing somewhere?

Great question, and thanks for reaching out! We absolutely understand wanting to see pricing before you dine. Our full menu with current pricing is available online through our ordering platform here:…

We just tried coming here (Sunday, 7/17/22), but all of the parking was blocked off with cones, and there was no one around doing valet parking. What was going on, and is there ever a good time to come on the weekend when we can get parking?

They always block that off for valet. Another reason I didn't rate it high

Does this place accept Apple Pay?

I do not, but as advanced as they are I cannot see how they wouldn't. I would call first. I can tell…

    Is the meat halal?

Tandoori half chicken and chicken tenders are halal

The ambiance itself is beautiful. The restaurant was not very busy, which was actually pretty surprising for a spot that I thought would be a hot spot. We were promptly seated, but the service was a little slow this evening. We did let our waitress know about that. She mentioned that she got caught up at a couple of tables. We started with some cocktails, and they were quite tasty. The presentation definitely has some hype, including the usual smoking and unvailing the smoked drink at the table. All the food was delicious except for the veggie kebabs. They tasted a little doughy and uncooked on the inside. We actually ended up sending them back, and they were really nice about the whole situation. I did think a restaurant like this could have gone over the top to make that situation better, and they did not. Which is fine. We also got the chicken appetizer as well as the paneer tikka. Those appetizers were unpointed delicious. The paneer was a little softer than I was expecting, but the flavor was delicious. For entrees, we got one of the chicken curries as well as one of the mutton curry-type dishes. And we also got some naan. All the food was delicious and super flavorful. It was my partner's birthday, and they brought out a nice little surprise chocolate cake for her. Less as well. That was also super tasty. Our bill for the two of us came out to about $400, which we have no problem paying, and I hate being one of those people complaining about fine dining prices. I do think for that price point, the service could be a little better, and they could take extra special care of their guests. Again, I do hope more of these Indian fine dining establishments make it to the DFW area!
