I'm so glad I finally tried this place. I love Indian food and have been trying to find something fast casual nearby. The Butter Masala classic curry with chicken and rice was very good. The chicken seemed to be dark meat, but it was high quality. The sauce was flavorful with just the right amount of heat. Basmati rice was perfectly cooked. The naan was thinner than most and just a bit crispy, but good. My mango lassi was enjoyable as well. Also of note - portions were generous. Counter service was professional and knowledgeable when I ordered, and they checked in during my meal to make sure everything was good. The atmosphere was pleasant - modern and clean. We are huge fans of this location and of O'Desai Aroma. We have been many times. The whole family love ODA and always agree this is a fam fave. Tonight we grabbed takeout for the Big Game. We used the website to order online for pickup. The menu was accurate. It was ready when predicted. We got it home and it was still warm. And sooooo delicious. I have never got anything here I didn't like. They always have veg options. Tonight I ordered the naan sandwich with paneer. It is inventive and delicious. They just really do paneer so well! Although they took the Chicken Raarha off the menu, we were told you can still order it--so depression didn't have to sink in b/c is really uncomparable and SO good! Did a DoorDash order tonight. Chicken biryani, naan, chicken vindaloo, chicken 65, and some chaana aide dish. Pretty nice spread at a fair price with generous portions! The only thing that wasn't perfect was the vindaloo, it was made "regular" but wasn't even the slightest bit spicy and it just wasn't quite as flavorful as a vindaloo usually is, and my "spicy" biryani just wasn't that spicy. Relatively minor complaints in a good meal. Also, didn't get the utensils I checked the check box for, also not too big of a deal but would be a much bigger problem if I didn't have backups on hand. Travel for work, wanted to step out of my norm for dinner and came across O'Desi Aroma. Now I've eaten Indian food a handful of times, and this spot did not disappoint! The Butter Masala was one of the best I've ever had, and the Chicken Tikka kebab was grilled to perfection. The staff is beyond friendly and delightful, the restaurant is clean, and the aroma of fresh food was beyond belief. What the heck is this! I ordered Samosa Chaat, and I did not taste any samosa or chaat in my dish. Moreover, parts of my dish was warm, and other parts of my dish were cold. I'm pretty sure this is not normal for Samosa Chaat as the dish was dowsed in sauce, and kinda tasted more like soup. I had also ordered mango lassi here, and it was yummy with minimal ingredients. We are from Tennessee, driving through the city of McKinney and felt like trying some Chat dishes, it was past 2 PM on Monday and we searched nearby Indian eateries online and called to check if they have Chats, luckily ODesi had and we went there, place is modern, stylish and very clean, we ordered Gadabad chat and Veg Manchuria, taste was so flavorful and we enjoyed every bite and ordered Samosa Chat to go, chef prepared and packed parts of chat in two different containers so nicely so it won't become soggy and we can enjoy it fresh and explained us how to mix. We had it later in the evening after few hours and it was still fresh and flavorful. Customer service was great. Thanks to cashier and chef for making our first experience very satisfying. I'm updating my review based on my previous experience in the restaurant. After a huge disappointment, I decided to give it a try again. This time I ordered Veg biryani, dabba chicken, garlic naan and tang Di Chicken. Everything tasted so delicious. Even the complaint I had earlier about the plastic containers, that was taken care of. Me and my husband both loved the veg biryani - mind you it's not the regular dum biryani, it was tossed. Dabba chicken also had a lovely gravy with egg pieces in it which gave thickness to the dish. Garlic naan was a perfect combo with the dabba chicken. All in all, my experience was really good. I hope the restaurant keeps its consistency in order to not lose its daily customers :) read more

Great service first fast casual place. Food my favorite Indian dish is butter chicken, which these guys do right. This Americanized version is not overly buttery tasting but still think and flavor. The samosas where the right amount of crunch and well filled. The two things that really stood out was the freshness and seasoning. I can't say enough how good both were. Ambiance Ambiance was the lesser of the reasons to come here. For a local-ish establishment it was well thought out and always clean. Which is probably the most important part. Service The service here is enough to write home about. The team here kept checking in to see if we needed anything and recommended additional sauces and future dishes. The food was severely over priced I felt, especially considering you had to get your own drinks, utensils, etc. it's a nice building though, and feels like a place they care to keep clean and presentable. I was craving indian food, and after doing a quick Yelp search, I found O'Desi Aroma, with its great reviews and plethora of menu options. I had an UberEats delivery promotion, and I also saw that the restaurant was offering BOGO free options for nearly everything I was going to order, what am I gonna do, say no? I ended up getting the chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, cheese naan, chicken tikka kabob, and pindi chana. Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS, notably well packaged (usually expect there to be tons of leaks/spills when ordering indian just due to the nature of the food), and still deliciously warm upon arrival! The kabobs were full of flavor and came w a green sauce that was phenomenal; the basmati rice and butter roti I got on the side with the mains were all perfectly textured/so fresh! My favorite items were definitely the chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, and cheese naan though. The first two come as no surprise as they are my favorites everywhere I go (I'm nothing if not basic), but it was definitely the cheese naan that blew me away, I had to stop myself from eating the whole thing (all portions are delectably large!). All in all, it was a fantastic meal, and I now have leftovers for at least two more meals due to the BOGO deals and large portions. I also loved the special deal they have on curry dishes and appetizers on Wednesday's and Thursday's. Upon pick up, the restaurant was clean and quiet. They were pretty empty for dine-in, however they had many take out orders. We ordered the spicy chicken tikka masala, the regular veggie tikka masala, samosas and chicken tikka biryani. Everything we ordered tasted fresh, flavorful and authentic. I am glad I finally found a go to Indian spot out here! This might feed a family of four with small children. They only have fountain drinks and bottled water and mango lasse. We got the family meal because it was our first time. Everything had somewhat the same flavor and texture. I can make this at home for a fraction of the price and make a salad to accompany it. I doubt we will be back. Mainly, it's pricey.
