I have been shopping around for window estimates and this company is 5 star. When I called into the office, the receptionist was delightful. She took all my information and scheduled an appointment at the convenience of my schedule. My saleslady was Montina and she was fabulous! She was running late, but the office called to let me know about 45 minutes before. It had started snowing the morning of my appointment. I also think the company would be wise to give a window, instead of a time slot. When Montina arrived she was warm and personable. She showed me different options for windows for my home. She also educated me on the materials they use and the install process. I had four other quotes and this was the ONLY company to talk about materials and install process. She was positive, nice, and a good listener. She was not pushy about the sale and never made me feel rushed or pushed into anything. I highly recommend Window Nation for window replacement. read more

This company is a scam do not purchase their windows installment financing services. My husband and I did the buy 2 windows get 2 free 0% interest for 24 months. We set up our autopay and a reminder to pay before October 2020. We log on this week AUGUST 2020 and see we have a 1,245.15 charge in June then after 62.83 for two months. When calling to see what the 1,245.15 charge in June was for the business said they had no idea what it was from because they didn't have access to records from when we purchased the services and the employees that sold us services did not work there anymo, stated they could t help us and when asking for a manager we were told the manager was traveling then the call ended. *** UPDATE still no answers in regards to the charge and everytime we call customer service for the past 19 days we get hung up on after they tell us to hold on and put us on hold for long period of times. read more

Not happy with this company at all. Signed a contract for new windows in my condo in November 2018. They eventually called to say they had made my windows and we scheduled the installation for early January 2019. I made adjustments to a very busy schedule so I could take time off to be their for the installation. Since I live in a condo, I had to get permission for the condo association in order to replace the windows. Two of the documents required by the condo association are copies of the business license and insurance for the company doing the work. I made repeated phone calls and sent several emails in order to obtain these documents and every time I contacted someone I was told that they would be sure to send them. I never received anything, nor did I ever receive any communication from them following-up or checking to see if the issue had been resolved. Because I never received the documents, I ended up missing the deadline to provide the paperwork to the condo association board for their January meeting so they could approve the installation. That means that I now have to wait until the next months board meeting to get the approval and therefore it would be a late February or early March at the earliest before I could reschedule to have the windows installed. However, due to work related travel it will likely be more like late March / early April before I could have it done. This company is apparently a company that figures you signed a contract so they can forget about customer service and you'll just have to live with it. read more

Although we ultimately did not use their services we had a positive experience with Window Nation. The representative called even though he was only 10 minutes behind schedule. He was friendly and informative. We did not expect the appointment to take 2 hours but we felt much more educated at the end of the appointment about windows in general and all the different options and possibilities. There is pressure to sign a contract. The state of VA requires a three day window for cancellation so we signed on and made a deposit. After further consideration we decided this wasn't the right decision for us right now and cancelled the contract via email Friday night. We received a response to our email Sunday morning and the refund had processed by noon on Monday. Overall it was a positive experience and we will consider them again in the future. read more

I love my new windows and doors from Window Nation! After 18 years of owning my townhouse I finally replaced the original 1978 windows and sliding glass doors and wish that I had done it sooner. The first thing we noticed was how quiet our house is now. Inside and out, our windows just look so great and it makes such a difference in appearance when you drive up and see the clean, white frames. It has made our house look so much better than the others in our row. Having an issue with a window in one of our rooms. Used to be fine, but now the temperature in room is colder than others. I caulked the outside to make sure there were no gaps. Called service and warranty and they said I might have taken my window out of warranty by caulking. I didn't remove any old caulk, rather added additional; but she said it doesn't matter. After reading other reviews, I'm just going to have another company replace the window. I don't want this company near my house. BLUF: if you schedule an appointment with window nation on their website, just be warned - you didn't really schedule an appointment / don't make plans or rearrange your schedule UNTIL you talk to someone!! Went on their website to schedule a meeting with the sales rep. (Husband has to reschedule his work due to him being on nights for the appt to work.) Called the day of because we hadn't heard from the company only to find out that the appt we made online was for them to call us back to make an appointment. When I told her online it said that this was to schedule someone to come out, she said NO it was for them to call us to schedule an appointment. Then when I asked her why no one had called yet (scheduled this appointment almost a week ago), all she could say was I'm not sure. The sales experience was good and the product seems decent two months after installation. However, one of the windows is defective (it only opens about three inches) and one screen was damaged in transport and not installed. The installers noted both problems, and I mentioned them to a company rep who called to check on my satisfaction a few days after the installation. Window Nation is a high pressure sales window company. The sales associates will tell you they are with you the entire way in the process, but once they leave your home, do not expect any support form your sales associate. The person who comes to install your window will be an unidentified contractor and may or may not come prepared to install your window which come from Alside windows in Canton. You may be able to get the same product and low prices if you go direct or go through a big box store like Lowes or Home Depot. (words shared by my Window Nation Installer, as he works as a window contractor for multiple companies) Advice I have if you go with Window Nation, be very present when the windows are being installed, do not give final payment until you are totally satisfied (request/demand a post installation inspection). We were fortunate that our window installer was competent, but he did take 3 days to install 5 window. He was doing the installation all by himself, and my father had to help him carry the large window into the house. I had to walk the inspector through the process of looking at the window, as if this is a foreign process to Window Nation. So be extremely picky and precise in what you want fixed, such as chalking and bent flashing. read more

Window Nation installed windows on our huose in February. Two became difficult to open and they came back 6 months later to fix it (when I finally got around to calling); I didn't have to haggle about what the contract requires. The repair took only a few minutes! WN has great customer service, great followup, friendly, local, customer representatives. The salesman did not use high pressure techniques. He was very factual and didn't use tactics like the boogey man of child safety. And the prices were reasonable...remember that windows aren't cheap! Be ware of these scam artists. Heard an ad in the radio about helping local businesses during COVID. Call them and scheduled for an hour with a sales rep. Went through the schpiel for an hour. Agreed on a price and got and Email confirmation, then the games started. They started dodging calls, then claimed the sales rep got fired and called to say they have no idea where those prices came from. In short it was a giant waste of time and totally unprofessional conduct. Took time out of my schedule , spent an hour on the phone not to mention that ridiculous app, only for them to develop amnesia and renege on something I have in writing. Minus 1 star! I recently had a "free" consultation with WN. Frankly. A total Sh$$ show! A gross waste of 90 minutes of my time only to get two astronomical estimates! I dont know how these crooks stay in business? They refused to hand me a written estimate, and stated I would receive it by email. To date. NADA! If I had to suffer through "our product is the best" presentation, the least they could do is produce the promised detailed estimate for my time! My advice. Do your homework. My wife and I were looking at finally replacing one drafty window and with the Buy 2 get 2 offer they had going, I brought them out for an estimate. In the 10 years we've lived here we've had numerous larger projects and as a standard get 3-4 estimates and go from there. I work in sales as well so I can read through all the crap generally. Dave was very friendly when he came in, did a very thorough presentation on the product. He was going through the steps of selling like a pro. Once he wrote out the quote and had what seemed to be an outrageous number for 7 windows. He went through the price with the special offer and came out to some random equally outrageous but lower price. We said no thanks for the offer, we have other estimates coming and we ain't putting any money down today or even making a decision today. His entire demeanor changed, he did the high pressure sales tactic of this price is only good today. We said no again. He took half his stuff out to the car, then spent about 5 minutes outside. He came back in with another offer where we pay nothing down. My wife tends to be more blunt than me and I sat back and watched her tell him bluntly but politely off. He took everything with him, including the brochure of the window and the quote he wrote up. Leaving absolutely nothing for us to compare against or even how to call him back if we decide we want the windows. He stormed off like a toddler not getting the candy he wanted. My 7 year old son even asked why he was standing in the driveway staring angrily at our house. This morning I received an email from a supervisor named Marcy with our "personalized" quote. This quote was at least $1600 lower than what he gave us yesterday. I don't know exactly because I didn't think he was going to take everything. No matter what the shady business practices done by their frontline sales person has led to them not getting our money. I saw another review on here which mentions Dave as well. My initial meeting/quote went very well. I decided to go with Window Nation because of their installation model and quality of product. I was assured by my representative that the installation would be in July, (my quote date was Mid-May). He even joked that he would "see me in July!". Strike 1. I was pleasantly surprised when window nation gave me a call to arrange a date for the final measure. The representative told me the earliest she could get me in though the date will probably change once they get "reinforcements", is June 24. I had no issue with that initially as it didn't occur to me at that moment, that it was over a month away. When I had called back and I had asked for an install date post measurement the same representative told me the target is anywhere from 12 to 14 weeks she said my measuring date will be earlier than the 24th. But for all intents and purposes even if it's moved to June 1 I am still looking at an install date of September. Contrary to what I was told. This is why people who normally wouldn't write reviews, do. They become so frustrated with business models "make promises that you can not keep." If I can offer advice, if the salesman relays a lead time, ask him how sure is he/she of that date, and if it's not met, how am I compensated. When posed with that question, I am sure more honest "guesstimates" would take place. I am now stuck, I signed the contract and I fear what lies ahead will be less than stellar, but as the saying goes live and learn. read more

Decent windows, decent price, terrible install. They had to return to fix cracked header boards and caulking. They ended up installing 1/4 round on all the windows to mask the end result. They didnt paint the places that were messed up. They didnt clean the windows after install...they were pretty disgusting. Now, almost 1 year to the day, I have leaking coming from my bedroom window...If I could do it over, I would choose a different company, even if that meant spending more. read more

the initial consultation was long, but thorough. Our Window Nation Rep, Dave Harrison, was knowledgeable and very informative. I ordered custom windows to replace my old double hungs. I wanted something very specific for my living room: a fixed casement over an operable awning window in the same opening. I asked to review a shop drawing before manufacture, just to make sure it was what I envisioned, which they provided. The installers took no time at all with the windows and the look fabulous!!! Poor communication and unreasonable delays in product installation and follow up. Once the salesperson left my house, I spent hours calling them to find out the status of my installation which took 5 months from the date of sale. In six months post installation, I needed service three times and I'm now waiting six weeks for them to replace a small screen in my door. They ordered replacement parts but ordered the wrong size and color. Totally unacceptable and inconceivable for a window and door company to take this long to replace a screen. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. Sales rep was knowledgeable and helpful, but after that, things went downhill and still going. Did not get a call for appointment to measure windows after sales meeting - had to contact sales rep who prompted measurer for appointment, and that went ok. Sales rep warned that install could be 4 months - turned out to be 6 months and I had to start calling at 4 months for status, and was repeatedly promised "another week" which repeatedly fell thru. Installers barely spoke English to make even pleasantries, and their attempt at protecting my home fell way short with mud on carpets, holes in walls, debris left outside. Also, I was assured at sales mtg that install would include sealing up/insulating voids left behind by cord/weight system and any necessary repairs to rotting sills - installers tried to close everything up before we could inspect to hide that this was not done. Had we not kept an eye, it would have been concealed behind replacement siding and trim kits (and I'm sure much of it that we didn't get to inspect was). Sales rep also made a big deal about the fit of these custom windows - but we observed that most of the windows had gaps around them of as much as 1-2" which were filled only by foam and then concealed by trim kits. Head installer was able to convey that there were 6 full screens missing from the order (he and online reviews say that happens often - they regularly get left behind in the warehouse), and wrote that on final walk thru paperwork, and told me I would hear within a week about when the missing screens would be installed. In the meantime, they activated the $28K loan as if the job was complete. A month and numerous phone calls later to various WN numbers because I keep getting passed around, and still no confirmation that they even know WHICH windows are missing screens or ETA on completion. And they keep contacting me for referrals and recommendations! Other companies warned me this would happen - that once sold it would turn into a "that's not us, that's the installer/manufacturer/finance company" and they were right. We should have saved up another year and gone with Renewal by Anderson. read more

We ordered windows and soffit/fascia replacement in July 2018. The window install went smoothly - very professional team and they cleaned up after the work was done - but they had to come back weeks later to install the screens. It is now November 2018 and we still haven't had the soffit/fascia replaced for our gutters. We were told it didn't get scheduled until the windows were completed, and then it was "raining a lot" and they were "busy" so it would be a few more weeks. The team came out to begin the work but didn't bring the correct equipment to remove the gutters (so they could put it back on) and they ordered the wrong color. That was in September and I haven't heard any updates beyond "it will be a few more weeks." Because the company is outsourced from Window Nation, I don't have anyone to contact and the number I do have is always "full" in the voicemail so I can't leave a message. It has gone so long our financing contract had to be updated because the job is listed as "incomplete". My satisfaction with the window job is quickly disappearing as I deal with the frustration for Window Nation to complete the job they were contracted for. read more

WN should not be surprised by my review. We were fine with our estimate and had the final contract signed 7/31. We were going to finance with their deal and get 11 windows. Start estimate was 6 weeks away. It was actually 14 weeks. The day before we were called to let us know that they thought a window was missing, but this should be most of it. Nope. They were missing 7. They asked us to pay the balance. No. Then several weeks later they called again. Still "just one window missing". It was missing 3. They asked us to pay the balance. No. Then later, again. One window was the wrong colors when they installed it and the other was a "franken-window" pieced together of various windows. We had ordered the 12 foot picture window broken into 2. Not "several". Excuses on how they couldn't do what we ordered followed. When we asked what they COULD do so we could go and re-request approval from the HOA? They sent us 3 options, one was what we had ordered. I don't get it. They asked us to pay the balance. No. Many, many calls later and a few different project managers, we finally got the right windows in February. read more

Have called 5 times requesting a quote, no one will call us back. This last time I called, the rep took our information and scheduled a date and time for a salesman to stop by, only to cancel the scheduled sales call a few minutes later when he found out it was an insurance claim. There was no explanation, but we were told a sales supervisor would contact us in 24 to 48 hours. I've now read the reviews and am glad that we didn't commit to Window Nation....I know there are a number of reputable window contractors out there, I'm convinced this is not one of them. read more

The sales rep was good and thankfully she answers her emails. No one else does. When we got an email stating our windows had arrived at the local outlet, I emailed the customer service email address three times to schedule an install date, it wasn't until I copied our service rep that anyone responded. The install crew left garbage and tools in our yard, disrupted lights and did not fix them after and scratched the aluminum trim on at least one window. Less than one month after installation we woke up to find one of the glass panes cracked all the way across the window and when I (stupidly) ran my hand across it I realized that the now separate pieces of glass were not aligned and I could have cut my fingers easily on the broken glass. I filled out the online claim form, expecting to hear back quickly. No one responded until again, I got my sales rep involved. Now I am being told it will be two months before the broken glass will be repaired. I cant express how much I regret choosing Window Nation. read more

I wish I would've read YELP reviews before I invested $13K in my windows. As everyone has stated, the person selling you the windows WILL NOT LEAVE YOUR HOME until you sign. I was late for an appt bc of this! Then the windows were all wrong. I wanted black exteriors with white interiors. They said I had to go up a model & pay an extra $3K. I said nope & tried to cancel the order but bc it was after the 72 hours, I was SCREAMED at by a supervisor who threatened legal action. They finally gave me the windows for the stated price & wanted me to be thankful. The installation was OK but bc my windows were black with a gray surround, the gray caulk was all over the black windows. It's been a while now & they never came back to fix the caulk (after numerous calls). The windows themselves look good but if you want a specific look & another company can fulfill that request, GO WITH THEM. Avoid WN at all costs. read more

Our sales guy was great!! However we had many issues after the install and still waiting for the issues to be corrected almost 8 months later. When you call to find out what is going on you get the run around. Also the fiance company is sneaky they never tell you its an interest baring loan of 63 cents a day. I purchased an older home and wanted to replace the windows before moving in. I requested a quote because they are offering a 'buy 2 get 2 free' deal. I was already skeptical because it seems too good to be true. If they can give away windows at half price and still make money, then they markup must be astronomical. But my wife insisted that we get a quote anyhow. They promptly called me back to schedule an 'risk-free consultation'. I explained that I needed only entry level windows because we are considering a major remodel in a few years and will likely get high-end windows then. The windows I want for the time being are only for safety reasons, because the original windows in the house are not tempered glass. I reiterated that I wanted entry level windows with the person who scheduled my appointment and was told that this was not an issue. They requested that both me and my wife were available for the consultation. I texted my wife while on the phone and she said she could make the appointment. We agreed to 9am the next morning. The next morning at 8:18am i received a phone call. At first, I was told that the 'design consultant' couldn't find the address in the zip code that I gave them. Somehow, the person who scheduled the consultation put in the wrong zip code. Ok. problem solved, right? No. Then, while still on the phone, the dispatcher said that the 'design consultant' was already at my property and it was an empty lot. I informed her that I was standing on the property waiting and it was not an empty lot. THEN, they claimed that I gave them the location of my current home. When I said that was incorrect, they put me on hold for about 10 minutes, and finally they assured me that the 'design consultant' would be there by my scheduled 9am appointment. At 9am, the 'design consultant' was not there. My wife had to leave. She is a nurse, and has a schedule. I called the dispatcher back at 9:02am. I was told that it would be best to reschedule. I explained that I can't just keep missing work for appointments, and that this appointment was the one I asked for time off to attend. I was put on hold again. Finally after being on the phone waiting for over 10 minutes they said that they would have the 'design consultant' contact me. Finally at 9:16, the 'design consultant' arrived. He was friendly enough, but seemed more interested in how I found the property and why i purchased it. We went inside the house and he just stood there staring at the one window in the living room. I told him I wanted single hung windows, that would be repurposed for my workshop when we renovate in a few years. He told me "They didn't tell me you wanted entry level windows. I didn't bring the information that I needed." WHAT? don't you take your 'information' everywhere you go? I asked how he didn't have all his 'information'. He said that Window Nation doesn't do entry level windows. I said "Well, then just take some measurements, and send me a quote on the different options when you go back to the office and get your 'information'.". He just stood there. Literally stood there staring at me like I was speaking a different language. SO i asked "Aren't you going to measure them?" He said "No." just like that. flat out refused to even measure or quote me. With that I told him, "I guess we were done." and turned out the lights as we left. I got the impression that as soon as I started talking about exactly what I wanted, and told him that I didn't want him to sell me windows that I don't need at the moment, he realized that I was an informed consumer and immediately became uninterested in my business. Window Nation doesn't want to sell you affordable windows. Their sales and deals are gimmicks designed to fool customers into buying overpriced windows. They are only in it for the easy money and to take advantage of the naive. When you call to schedule, they will tell you that both homeowners need to be there at the same time because it is 'the law'. This is a lie. There is no such law. They tell you this because it is a high-pressure sales tactic in order to get people to sign on the spot. It eliminated the "well, i want to talk to my wife about it later" excuse. In the matter of 2 hours they screwed up, tried blaming me, and then lied about me giving the wrong address, the address I gave was an empty lot, the 'design consultant' was there already, they didn't tell me to bring the correct information for entry level windows, we don't sell entry level windows, told me to reschedule, and were late. Horrible company, if I went into full detail about all of our problems, there wouldn't be enough room on this form. 1st; It took forever to get the windows. We filled multiple complaints before install and tried to cancel our contract to no avail. 2nd: A window was missimg upon install. 3rd: Almost a month later the missing window arrives minus the screen. We have to wait even longer for the screen. While all that was going on, we noticed missing screw caps and a missing latch for the screen on the slider. It took several emails and calls to get them to understand what a screen latch was. They had to come back out to fix all of that. They had to come out yet again to correct mistakes on our smallest window. This was all between May and September of 2020. We thought there were problems with the windows, but had a very mild start to winter so it wasn't too noticeable. Here comes Christmas, we finally get cold weather and start freezing to death. I reported it immediately and was promised a visit on Monday 12-28. I was thinking geez, good service! Boy was I wrong. I got every excuse in the book. Finally someone comes out Jan 7 and determined all of the windows were installed wrong. We were to have emergency service the next week. Here we are at Jan 21st! These people canceled our service work twice! The 2nd cancellation was infuriating! I called them in the morning to make sure they weren't going to cancel again and they wait until after 3 P.M. to cancel again. We are done with them. We have told them repeatedly that this is an emergency but they don't care. Unfortunately for us, we must get another company out here to remove 8 month old windows and replace them! My saga started last November, 2017, when I ordered a bay window for my living room and several regular windows for other rooms. Two months after the order, the windows were finally in and installed. The bay window is large - over $5,000 of the order - and seemed the wrong size for the opening. The installers worked for some time, and did finally get it in. I contacted customer service in October, 2018, sent pictures, and the customer service rep forwarded them to service. I had a call back a couple of days later stating that a replacement window had been ordered and I would receive a call when in. It is now mid January, 2019, with no call backs, nothing. Window Nation is not what sales man claimed their "Superior Service", the price what I paid for is not justified!!! I signed contract on July 1 and salesman told me no the window installation will be no later than Second week of October. After month goes by I called up the office and checked the order status, they told me it will be likely delayed to in the middle of November. I tried to reach manager and one is on vocation and another one is not reachable and I escalated to higher manager which is North Eastern general manager and explained to him my situation and I need to have window installed so that I can sell the house. I cannot have this delayed and the conversation did not went well and no helpful. When I try to cancel the contract, he refuse to cancel it and told me if I cancel it, they will keep the deposit and I have to pay the remaining balance according to the contract. But he denied the fact that delayed installation already violated contract and should issue the full refund of deposit. The second issue is the back office support is not "Superior Service" as they claimed. The date they scheduled is 100% chance of rain and I called office prior day at noon and to confirm if they will install the window due to weather because I have to drive three hours to that house from my home. The office rep could not call through to the window install contractor to confirm the installation. She told me if I cancel the appointment, they will charge $250 cancelation fee. Then contractor called me in the morning at 7:00am on installation day and tell me the installation canceled due to rain. at that morning, I already drove 3hours to the house. The second appointment was scheduled on Saturday and I got call and email to confirm installation on following Monday which is the window installation is done. What a "Superior Service"! When window installer come to the house and doing final measurement and find out all window measurement are wrong, The actual window size is 1" larger and family room windows height is smaller at least 2". I ordered 7 vinyl windows and cost me $8000 because I trusted their "Superior Service". If you want to use this contractor, think twice!
