I've been going to Windsor bowl for years. I have been turned away from one of the "manager s" for no reason. My husband and I bring friends, family, and many others into the alley on a regular basis.the staff is rude and inconsistent. They decide if they want you to bowl or hang whenever it's convenient for them at the time. I have been over charged on my bar tap several times. Management is terrible. It's a shame. It's so disappointing because this is the place I bring my family and friends. No longer.... So much for supporting LOCAL. I guess I have to go to Rohnert Park. Too bad ;( The owner or some manager commented on my review stating that we were rude to their staff... The staff at Windsor bowl are terribly rude. They are inconsistent, unfriendly, change their rules everyday, they act like they're high and mighty and are all horrible people. The only one person that I've met there that is even nice at all is Greg. Everyone else is so mean. They're even rude to my 12 year old son. The manager/owner (James P.) also said in his comment on my review that I was destructive to their property. That's not true. Businesses like this should not have the opportunities to lie about patrons on Yelp. I emailed him asking what he meant by "destructive" and of course he ignored me email. I don't know how they stay in business. The bathrooms are always awful and gross, half of the sinks and toilets don't work, they're always going through some construction. It's far from what the business was like over 5 years ago. I am not sure if this guy James P. purchased the businesses in the last several years, but it used to be a great spot and used to be clean, and the staff used to be nice. Seems like a nice place, just didn't have a great experience. Felt the bowling machines were a bit clunky to use and that they put way too many people on one lane when there were still plenty of lanes open. This made it so I had to stay longer than I wanted. The chicken tenders also weren't the best. The lights were fun though and there was good music. read more

Great time bowling with our girls basketball team. Food was a plus and delivered to us. They really wanted to take care of us. All was great until we went upstairs and the employee setting up a birthday party told our girls to quit cheering In the arcade! Seriously? One of the girls beat a high score and won 1000 tickets. 10 girls cheering is loud but... it's a friggin' arcade for crying out loud. Please re-train your employees. Thanks! read more

Went here with my nephews at noon. Half an hour in the oldest said he was hungry. Turns out that they don't start selling food until 2. I can understand that time during the school year. However during the summer it should be open at a reasonable lunch hour since there were 6 different families with multiple children complaining that they were hungry. When I asked the lady if I could go get food to bring back she said that they don't allow food from outside to be brought in, no exceptions. What a horrible experience. First off the kids running the front desk were pricks. Very unprofessional. Second thing is why the hell dont they have kid prices? They charged me the same rate for my 1.5 year old as they did me. Lastly the place is way too expensive. I've been bowling here for years! I love what they have done to the place. New paint, re-furbished lanes, flat screens. It needed an update and it is so much better, but it still has that old timey bowling alley feel to it. I especially like that they play classic rock most days I'm there. The bar is hasn't changed, but I like that too. If we can't get a lane we can always watch the game and play some pool. Way to go Windsor Bowl. read more

If you don't go with expectations of a 5 star resort, Windsor Bowl is a fun place to go for a Friday night. Yes, it's divey, but isn't that part of the bowling experience? The bar is a must see - it's extremely divey and makes you feel like you've stepped out of a time machine. The snack bar makes good fries, and it's overall a fun environment. Also, the teeny boppers who go on their first dates are pretty precious to watch. read more

The second time I went I found out they were going to be remodeling so that took care of my last impression. I like this place but there is an issue I want to mention. I get that if you kick out the people who have no Bowling etiquette, they may stop coming and make it harder to keep the bowling alley open. However, allowing the people with no Bowling Etiquette to negatively impact the experience of the other bowlers is going to make the people who like to bowl not want to come back. Last week was great, this week was not. I would like to suggest a program to at least inform bowlers of what Bowling Etiquette is. read more

Nice little place. Seems like a great place for kids. I don't know for sure, but the lanes appear shorter than at Double Decker. And the lanes seem tighter than regular. Seems like the the pins are rubbery, too. read more

Not child friendly. The downstairs staff is amazing, but the upstairs employees are not good with kids at all. I would not suggest letting them go up there unless you are with them. I will be choosing a place where my children can play and have fun in the future. read more

This is a nice place to bowl and the staff has always been friendly and helpful. It can be difficult to get a lane if you go on a league night, but that is the same everywhere. As far as I am concerned, Windsor Bowl is the best bowling alley in Sonoma County. Jaime, the owner was over the top helpful in purchasing, drilling and providing time supporting me in learning how to use my new ball. Patience and expertise describe Jaime. Theresa and staff are all GREAT and add to the bowling experience. You can't beat the small town, old school feel. Prices are great- alley is always clean. They also support students with disabilities (yay!) and senior bowlers during weekdays. Kudos to Windsor Bowl. read more

The couple times that I've been there it was a younger crowd (early 20's to late 30's) and it was a fun night. Not everything is geared toward the winery tourism here in "wine country". Boy that's too much!! Staying at the Holiday Inn Express and then knocking a perfectly good Bowling Alley for being what it's supposed to be. GET A CLUE, ORDER A COLD BEER, AND BOWL!! read more

We come here often with our family and every single time we are told there are no lanes because someone has reservations yet when we call to make reservations we are told they don't make reservations! When we question them they always have a different answer about how you can reserve lanes. We wait 1.5 hours for lanes with kids just to get told " oh sorry someone else reserved 4 lanes it's going to be 2 more hours!!!!! We are staying right next door to this place at the Holiday Inn Express. I was totally tempted to check this place out because on the outside it says BAR, BOWL, CAFE. How can I resist? I took my Girl Scout Troop here and they had a great time. They were not able to complete the room, but they had fun trying. This is a great business with a variety of activities for all ages to enjoy. Friday afternoon teen bowling bday party yesterday. Kids had fun, folks had fun. There is a real watering hole for those interested. Pizza was hot and tasty. It seemed safe and there was plenty of parking. The lanes were clean and serviced. So yeah, four stars, bowling alley scale. I just can't get persnickety about reviewing a bowling alley. They are inherently casual, goes with the territory. What I love about bowling is that anyone can have fun socializing and it is more active than the kids hanging out on their video games. I really like bowling here! The staff is very friendly and the lanes are very nice! They just remodeled and added new lanes, carpets, and paint! The place looks brand new! The new lanes seem to be higher scoring too! They have lots of leagues for every kind of bowler! The snack bar is nice too! Quick service and the food was good! I really enjoy Mondays deal. 2 hours and shoes for only $9. That starts at 5pm and then around 6 or 7 they turn the black lights on and it's rock in glow time! Fun for adults and kids. I like that there aren't giant TVs everywhere like at some bowling alleys. If I go in a group it's more fun to participate together than stare at screens which we could do from home. Windsor bowl is a fun family friendly place! They recently remodeled & updated some stuff as well. Every time I have gone all the staff has been super nice & helpful with my kids & I. I also appreciate that they are part of the kidsbowlfree. At night they turn lights on, which my kids love & always have fun music playing. They also have alcohol for the adults. Another situation where people kinda get what you expect from a bowling alley. It's not superstar great like a Lucky Strike, but we're in Windsor & it's a good level bowling alley. The food is decent and/or what's to be expected in an "old school" ish bowling alley...things could be upgraded, improved, yadda yadda but then again it's still bowling. Part of the fun in many occasions is the fact that bowling is kinda dated & comes w/ the stigma of still being a hobby (not a sport) consisting of mostly guys rolling balls down a lane quickly so they can sit down & continue drinking beer. It's good fun all around, comes laded with beer, burgers, fries & sodas, and will probably make your feet stink...ok, that part sucks but it's still fun to bowl, damit! read more

Our company had a department outing at Windsor Bowl on 10/24/18. The staff was very helpful and we were warmly welcomed. We also played the miniature golf upstairs after bowling. It was a Halloween theme so I wore my 20+ year favorite "Ghost" earrings that have a special meaning to me. As it turned out, one of my earrings fell off and after looking for it I (we) did not find it. I left my name and number at the front desk feeling it probably was lost. To my delight, I received a phone call not once, but twice the following day to advise that my little "Ghost" earring had been found and was waiting for me at their front desk. Thank you to Theresa and all the staff at Windsor Bowl for their perseverance and kindness in locating and returning my simple but special earring.
