Friday night Rock & Glow at Windsor Bowl?! Who knew that this was the place to be?! Everyone! Everyone but me, LOL! A friend and I wanted to bowl and started our night at Epicenter. But after circling the packed parking lot many times, we sadly but not surprisingly found out that the bowling wait was 1.5 hours! Epicenter...also the place to be! So we stopped at Windsor Bowl just in time to snag 1 of their 24 lanes. The place was packed! It's a no-frills, old-school, local bowling alley that brings me back to bowling when I was a kid. The lanes (or maybe it's the spaces between them) are narrow so just be mindful of your neighbors, especially if you do a celebratory flail or dance after a strike. Rock & Glow is offered on Friday and Saturday nights only and involves dim overhead lights, neon up lights, and hip music beats! The snack bar sells fountain sodas (note: Pepsi brands), candy, and fast-food snacks (think fries, nachos, pizza). There are a few drink and snack vending machines. And beer is available in the adjoining bar area. $6.75/person/game (after 5pm) + $4.75/person shoe rental + a soda = a cheap night out! I'm sure I'll be back...likely on a Friday or Saturday night again for Rock & Glow. Check it out. I wish you an abundance of turkeys!

We visit Windsor regularly for my Husband's board meetings. Holiday Inn Express is next door. This trip we decided to check out the black light mini golf experience as well as some good bowling alley food. It's upstairs and you pay for the balls for each player and choose a putter. The machine was cool to dispense the balls. We were not disappointed. We had so much fun. There wasn't anyone else there so we had the place to ourselves. The art is really fun. It is sort of archaic animals meets futuristic machines. The music matched that as well. We finished and ordered food. It was tasty bar food and I had no complaints. We went to the arcade after eating and it is small but still fun. One of the machines wasn't working and took our credits so I went to the front desk and they had it fixed immediately and gave us double credit back for the trouble. The ladies in the front were nice and the guy serving the food got it to us really fast. We will definitely visit again.

I went here with a group and they totally don't like new people. It's a shame bc I would go a lot.

The lanes are rigged. They are slanted your ball almost never goes straight. It always turns at the end or slightly before

The snack bar has pretty tasty food and good prices, we had the burger with fries and chicken strips with fries.

I booked without asking how much, and it surprised me how expensive it was, but in the end, I would 100% do it again, and they booked me for that day. Our host was Finn, and we liked him immediately. Apparently he looks like one of my son's favorite you tubers so my son was immediately pleased, ha ha. Finn was so patient as we tried the starter puzzle (for true newbies like us), and he was even more patient when we were failing hard-core in the room. We needed Gingy's (his) help a lot to get through it. His clues were perfect fits for us, and it allowed the experience to be crazy challenging (we sucked, but it was so fun, and the teamwork and memories were priceless) while also allowing us to progress - eventually- to the end. We did not escape the room in time, but Finn allowed us to see it through the end. Finishing made us SO happy! I don't think we ever had a better mother-son day together, and even though it costs me an entire day's pay for the two of us, we will be doing this again. I liked it so much I even invited my ex-husband to join us, because he is great at that sort of thinking... And we haven't done a thing together since we officially ended our 20 yr relationship in 2025, so if that doesn't mean I'm desperate to do more of this, and get better so we can try their medium level room, I don't know what would. Thank you Finn! You literally made our day, and week. I loved the pics you took at the end, and you made a special memory for us that I will cherish always.

Our group did the easiest room which was the Gingerbread Cottage. If you've done plenty of escape rooms, do the harder ones. We would have escaped at an earlier time, but our lock was stuck! We knew the answer, but the lock wouldn't budge. We remembered the rule that if you can't move it with a pinky, then don't force it. Our friend had to twist it hard to separate the parts that were stuck. It's okay. We escaped and our group had fun!

We had a booking issue and the staff helped us out and offered a significant discount. In the room itself the GM was attentive and helpful. We tried two rooms (Temple of Razum and the witches one). I'd say both are closer to old school rooms with only sparing using of technology. Puzzles mostly make sense, there was one in each room that we'd never have solved without help. The rooms were mostly linear so better for smaller groups. We did it with two people and enjoyed it quite a bit. If you're looking for something to do in Napa these rooms are great.

We were given an hour for the escape room to solve the mystery. Total was $160 for 4 heads. We started with the Scoops Ahoy room which was fun! It was hard but the employee helped us with hints anytime we got stuck. She was great! Love how it's located in the mall. After we escaped, we went up to the food court for lunch/dinner. They are located right near the the escalators- opposite side of Macy's.

Rough from start to "finish"- the lack of a real intro (they showed us how props worked and gave too many clues away), and some of the locks/puzzles were still open or not fixed from the previous groups. When we asked for hints, it was hard to get responses since they were multitasking and managing other groups (they had to also come in the room physically which broke immersion) we also needed a ton of hints since the room mechanisms were really old and didn't work properly half the time + sometimes we had the puzzles figured out too, but the solve methods didn't make sense or didn't flow at all. We've done many escape rooms before too, and expected a level of quality that comes with the hefty price. Rooms were very dusty and dirty as well, doesn't seem like it's ever maintained, and just hastily thrown together. Finally, as we were solving the rooms in order, we literally heard other groups behind us doing the room we just left - totally ruins the immersion. If the room had been set up fully from the start - fine, not terrible, but this part really made it unprofessional and overall ruined the experience, and we didn't really want to continue after the first room + we "finished" overtime but since there was 0 time tracking or timer, we didn't know, so it felt very disappointing and unsatisfactory. Shocked at the good reviews, maybe we got an off day but this location needs an update badly and more staffing. Would not recommend to escape room lovers if you care about quality and immersion.

I really like the TV screens that offer hints, let you know when you're close, or tell you when you're super off-base. I also like that they let you choose if you want that. My husband and I did the Last Stop room for a date night and it was such a fun way to mix things up from dinner and movie. Then my kids became obsessed with escape rooms, so we did the Fair Game with 5 adults + 2 kids. We asked for unlimited clues and were able to escape with some help on the tougher puzzles.

Our game was the pirate themed Depths of Osiris (check out the preview vids on YouTube), and it was perfect for a team of an adult and two ten year olds. My boys had no trouble getting used to the VR gear they had to wear for the experience (a headset and two hand controllers - it was their first time). We had to cooperate to solve each room's puzzle to unlock a new room. Eventually, we got to the final scenario which was exciting and really required us to collaborate. The puzzles were well constructed and mostly understandable from a logic perspective. The graphics and sound were pretty decent (it's not super-high res like Cyberpunk) and matched the gameplay perfectly. We got some timely tips from the game master too, and cleared the puzzle with about a minute left on our 45 minute timer. The facilities are super clean and well maintained. They also have snacks and drinks which are nice to make the visit special for younger kids. My sons want to come back, and I do too. I also heard they are adding a physical escape room, so definitely something to look forward to.

She then proceeded to say they automatically come with the bites. I knew this was not true since they were both charged separately. Upon reading the menu I realized what she said was false...
