I went back again today to follow up, only to find out that nothing had been done. The order had not been placed or shipped as I was told. Now, once again, I have been promised that my wedding bands will be here by Tuesday. At this point, after being given incorrect information multiple times and receiving no calls or follow-up, I unfortunately have no reason to trust what I am being told. What makes this situation even more upsetting is that I am leaving Wednesday to get married in Italy. These are our WEDDING BANDS. This is not an ordinary purchase that can simply arrive whenever it arrives. They knew exactly what these rings were for and the importance of having them before our wedding. Mistakes can happen, but what is unacceptable is the complete lack of responsibility, communication, urgency, and honesty. It has been nearly eight weeks since we paid for our order in full, and instead of someone taking ownership of the situation, I have had to repeatedly go to the store myself looking for answers--only to be given another promise that isn't kept. First I was looking to repair my engagement ring, then I decided to reset it. I then changed my mind again and decided to make an entirely new ring out of diamond studs I was given (since I do not wear earrings). Believe it or not, it is not easy to find nice settings for two diamonds. I soon realized the setting would have to be custom made. So I first looked at my neighborhood jewelers. One of them in Davie, Maurice at Maurice's Jewelry Box said that I should really go to his parent's store as they had a bigger selection. So that's how I ended up at DSH. I found a picture online had it copied. It was a beautiful vintage setting. The first wax model did not turn out quite as I wanted it the first time so Helaine and Daniel sent it to someone else to be redone at their expense. When it was finally complete, I loved the finished product! I then had DSH take my original engagement diamond to make a beautiful halo pendant. Another job I was very happy with! Since then, I have gone to the store to have my watch and jewelry repaired. Their jeweler is very experienced and does a great job. Helaine is so warm and friendly. From the moment I met her she made me feel like family. I think I have bought my share of jewelry for a long time. But it's nice to know that if I need anything, Helaine and Daniel are there.
