First toured Windsor at Main in Mid November because I am relocating to Orange County from LA for a new job. Loved it from the moment I saw it. Unfortunately, since my lease isn't up in LA until mid January, I wasn't able to put a hold on an apartment because they only hold for 21 days and it wouldn't hold until January. Looked at other places, but Windsor stayed at the top of my list as it is less than a mile from my job. Went back to tour again last weekend. Apartments went up in price over $200/mo. I asked Harold if he could talk to the management company and tell them I have been back a couple times to see if they would honor the price originally quoted. He said they meet a couple times a week to discuss pricing. I called after the first meeting and he told me the price stayed the same. He said call me on Thursday after the meeting to see if anything changed. I spoke to him and he said the only two units that went down in price are right by the freeway. Here you have someone who is clearly interested enough and has visited your property several times and management isn't willing to work with them. Shame on you. I happen to run a business and there are always exceptions to the rules. Bad business. Now I have to begin my search all over because it won't be with this company. Thanks anyway Harold. I've lived here just a little over 2 years and overall have had such an amazing experience! All of the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Any issues I've experienced either in my apartment or even throughout the property are handled efficiently. The maintenance staff is amazing. Specifically Juan who is always willing to go above and beyond for his residents. He always shows up with a smile on his face and ready to help with whatever this issue may be. Overall, I've had such a great experience here and cannot recommend this complex enough if you're looking to move! read more

This community staff is very rude, stupid, and offer no whatsoever help to your concern or issue with the apartment, top down from the manager Cindy Main to Lucas Malone and Elizabeth Garcia. Also: They said parking spots come with the apartment but it is not numbered and guaranteed so you will end up finding no parking. There is always a delay in helping you with your issues cause I guarantee you one of them for sure will be "out of the office" when you contact them. read more

Save yourself the trouble of looking into this complex. Worst experience of my life. The apartment constantly has pipes breaking which causes the carpet to get soaked. The water constantly gets shut off for hours with little to no notice. Because there's a small section for dogs, the complex constantly has dog urine everywhere which causes the hallways to smell. Not to mention my AC was broken during the summer and it took maintenance almost one month to fix it. I ended up terminating my lease shortly after moving in and they require a 60 day notice which I think is ridiculous. To top things off the leasing office staff is so rude, especially the manager Elizabeth. The only convenient thing about the apartment is that it's near the freeway and the mall. So again, save yourself the trouble and just look into the apartments across the street instead of this horrific place. read more

I have lived here for 3 years, the first year I moved out of the unit I was in because it had termites and the person showed up to fix the problem came in with a can of "raid"?!?!? He didn't fix anything, termites swarmed that entire year until I sealed up all holes in the unit myself. Then I moved down to another unit the second year. The only problem I had that year was I had my truck broken into and robbed while we have "security" on duty. When I told them what happened all I got were reasons it was my fault. Now I'm still here and my truck was just robbed yet again. Do you think they care? Not even a little. I'm currently paying $2200 a month but I'm starting to realize between the loud parties from my upstairs neighbor, pool parties all day and night, getting robbed, and dog crap all over the property... It doesn't even out. I mean I can move down the street and pay less and get robbed. I thought paying this much came with peace of mind. But instead I have to bust my butt all month to pay rent and worry that I'm going to get robbed again? I'm a 31 year old man I could only imagine if a woman was by herself at night parking and that same "punk" came up to them. I would consider looking elsewhere. I know by the time you read this review it will have been too late and your already a tenant here looking to write your own bad review. From the application process, to the tours and many many questions....Lucas, Izzy, Santina, Elizabeth, Robert and Victor were all instrumental in making the move in very easy and smooth. Once we moved in, they gave us a check in sheet to go over to see if any items needed repair or touch up. This place is great! The apartments are nice and spacious, but more so, the community. I love how pet friendly it is because finding a place to live that allows pets is tough. There is a dog run and designated potty spots. They offer opportunities to connect with each other: weekly yoga, bbqs, food trucks, etc. I like the convenience of picking up a package if it doesn't get left at your door. The gym is pretty nice for an apartment gym and it is growing in equipment (fingers crossed for a squat rack!). Plus, any time I've had a problem they were so gracious and quick to respond. Shout out to Robert, he has been friendly and nice to me literally since the day I moved in. It is really fortunate to get parking which is another thing to come by in Orange; parking is in accordance to your floor and you have a connecting bridge to lessen how much you go up and down the stairs. A few cons is the hallways which have a lot of dead cockroaches, pet urine/feces, trash bag leaks which go for a an extended period of time before being cleaned up. People also drive crazy fast/tailgate in the parking structure and can be loud at times but that is expected. Another thing is that I have had my bike stolen right off my patio, I thought in a gated community this wouldn't happen but crime can happen anywhere so be extra careful with your stuff! read more

Moving isn't fun and easy especially when your also 7 month preggo. But the staff at Windsor (Elizabeth, Lucas and Izzy) made the moving process easier from start to finish all with friendly smiles! They're so easy going and lots of patience for all and any questions you have. We chose Windsor because of amenities like W/D in unit, central ac and location where we felt safe with plenty of parking as well. The apt is also close to SA mall so you can do your shopping and dining at a walking distance. My husband and I have lived here for 3 years and we absolutely love it here! Everything is so close and convenient. The office staff makes it easy to sign a new lease each year by being super attentive and always willing to help. Santina and Lucas make everything stress free. We love the maintenance team, they're always there in a rush and we never have to call them back... they do it right the first time! The pools are clean as well as the bbq areas. There's always parking on your floor level so no need to park far or on the rooftop. If you're looking for luxury, somewhere close to all major fwys and walking distance to shopping and good food.... this is the place for you! read more

I absolutely love living here. I never hear the neighbors, the amenities are incredible, the people working are awesome, the layout of my apartment is spacious and overall has been an awesome experience. It a dog friendly community so there are dog runs, poop bags and dog lovers. The only downside is pee in the hallways but that is the owners' faults, not Windsor. Major shoutout to Robert. He has gone above and beyond to help me with maintenance. The neighbor's water heater broke and mildly flooded my room. He was there within an hour tearing up the carpet and helping me out. He even knows my dog's name and she loves him. read more

This community is wonderful. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The emenites are beautiful and surprisingly never crowded. Our unit is a huge open layout which makes it seems even bigger. It's the perfect size for our little family. Parking is never a problem for us for for our guests. Being on the bottom floor and on the street side is definitely not as quite as you'd want. You can hear every passing car and all the hammering of the up in coming community across the street. We can hear our upstairs neighbors every move. We did go a few months without hearing it so it may just be a loud tenant and not necessarily a problem with the foundation. People allow their dogs to pee in the hallways and rarely pick up their poop. But in reality... that's going to happen in any community. So I wouldn't put that on management. If you live near a gate, be prepared to be startled every time it slams shut. Aside from that, it is a quite and quaint little community. We would definitely recommend people to move here. 5 stars from us! read more

Great location, friendly and helpful management, but you definitely have to pay for it. I lived in an "A1" one-bedroom unit at the Windsor from 2014-2017. I chose the apartment due to its convenient proximity to the 22, 5, 57, and 55 freeways, as well as its inclusion of a washer / dryer in unit. The apartments are very sleek in appearance and spacious. I found management to be very friendly and helpful. Bringing in food trucks, spontaneously handing out breakfast in the driveway, and frequent messages regarding any closures (garage cleaning, etc.) show that they really go the extra mile. When I first moved in, I found a care package on the counter. I also noticed that the light switch in the bedroom controlled outlets that didn't make any sense. They re-wired the room for me within a couple days. I once broke a blind in my unit. Instead of charging me for it, they just fixed it. They'll even replace lightbulbs. Rent is obviously quite high given the level of service and quality of the building ($1,635 when I first started, $1,907 if I had renewed for a fourth year), so really the only consideration is if all of the amenities are worth it for the money. When, at the end of my lease, we had a mix up regarding how to handle a short term portion beyond the final month, management graciously agreed to let me pay the amount I was expecting instead of the amount I was being billed after a couple of e-mails with the assistant property manager. Parking is included in the leases, and there is an entire level of the garage dedicated to guests. A few times I've accidentally left my car in a loading zone over night. I never got towed, fined, or anything but a warning on my windshield. Two years into my time here I was transferred at work from Anaheim to Torrance. With my commute increasing to nearly an hour, moving was a real possibility, but I enjoyed living at the Windsor too much. Overall I'd say living here was well worth it, and the only reason that I'm leaving is because headed out of state. If this place is within your price range, take a tour! read more

My wife and I recently started looking at apartments trying to find the right place since our lease is up in a couple of months. Yesterday we toured the Windsor at Main Place and I have to say that I am impressed! The level of service provided from the beginning has been phenomenal and Elizabeth Garcia was beyond amazing! She showed me a one bedroom apartment and I liked the stainless steel appliances and full size washer/dryer inside of the apartment (our current apt doesn't have this). The complex looked great and they have two pool areas along with on-site maintenance! We will still be looking at a couple other spots, but I have a feeling we'll be back to lease with this place and with Elizabeth! read more

Windsor is the place to be! I've lived in numerous locations and Windsor at Main Place is by far the best place to be. My wife and I have been here for a year this month and I couldn't be any happier. What's not to love? We live across from the mall, entertainment, and a bunch of restaurants. Always something to do near Windsor. Also Food Truck Thursdays are another plus. If we need a maintenance request the crew are so fast to respond and fix the issues. If we have any issues with anything in the community they are also quick to address the issue. The staff here are just truly amazing especially Elizabeth who takes the time to help us out as much as possible. I even recommended this place to my mother in law. Now she's my neighbor! read more

Wow. This Place is the biggest joke. Don't move here, save your money, your time and SAFETY! Especially the safety aspect of it. They take no measures to keep residents safe, constant break ins and cars being keyed. I have personally asked why they don't have cameras (it's supposed to be luxury living), and it was because they got a quote for 100k. Like are you kidding me? Maybe if you stopped worrying about bringing irrelevant food trucks on Thursdays maybe you would have enough funds for your residents safety. Furthermore, one of the workers that works there, no going to say any names for his own sake, had already brought to my attention that Windsor at Main Place had old and rotten rusty pipes, which leads back to so many water shut offs during the week I can't even keep up (I have some of the emails saved, that where sent out the day of the problem). Mind you most of these water shut offs are without 24 hr notice which is not only illegal but it also shows their lack of prioritization for their residents. They emphasize on food truck Thursday's (garbage quality), resident "events" and fixing only cosmetics. (Exterior painting, fancy thermostats for the AC, etc etc). Like I said don't move here, you're not safe, regardless of what they try and sell you at the office. read more

My daughter and 2 friends from Chapman U rented a 2 bedroom for first semester this year, and left after only 4 months. The place seems really good at first and they have good amenities, although very expensive. The girls were only in there for 4 months and they were very careful about taking care of everything, no carpet stains, not putting holes in walls etc. , and the place was in perfect shape when they moved out, cleaned, touched up etc. However when it came time to get back the deposit, they found ways to charge a fee for painting, sanitizing, carpet, and some small other fees, that basically ate up almost the whole deposit amount! And when I called them on it, the response was so snooty and matter of fact - bad. Really left us a sour taste, and burned us as customers. I would never recommend anyone to rent at Windsor at Main. read more

It's expensive to live here, but you do get what you pay for. The gym is never crowded when I go, so I basically have a "free" gym pass for a gym that feels like it's all mine. I get to do my own laundry in my own home. None of this "walking across an apt. complex to do laundry just to have it stolen" business! Pool + barbecues. Neighbors who actually appear to be productive members of society with good jobs (or rich college kids--yes, I'm talking about you, Chapman students). My husband has lived in apartment complexes that have had less than savory people living there... I really hated visiting those places!! The only problems I have are with the kitchens in the apartments. As someone who LOVES to cook and eat, there is VERY limited cabinet space, counter space, and no pantry! It's hard having a coffee maker and toaster take up most of the counter space, but thankfully the units come with microwaves above the stoves so that really helps with space issues. Aside from those problems, I really do love living here, but I cannot wait to own my own home! read more

Luxury at its worst... If you like loud neighbors, obnoxious-over-privileged-entitled-college-kids getting drunk and screaming all night long, this is the place for you! This has to be one of those unreasonably priced "luxury" complexes in Orange County. It's right on the border of the ghettos of Santa Ana, and near a crappy mall. Parking is first come-first serve, and permits are never enforced. So when the pricks on your floor have a party, all their shitty friends will park and take up all the spaces. The pool is always dirty. The power grid in the complex sucks and is constantly experiencing outages. Rude staff, horrible security. They have these poorly executed "community" events. If you live pool side near the club house, forget shutting out the horribly loud music they play. And when you send a polite email asking them to maybe keep the music from rattling your windows, they send you an empty "we're sorry, but fuck you. Why? because fuck you, that's why". The maintenance staff is pretty cool. They were quick to fix the numerous broken utilities, and appliances that broke under minimal use or strain. People with pets never clean up after themselves, and people with kids let their offspring run rampant. Twice I had to call the police to quiet the cocaine fueled conversations on the neighboring balconies at 4 in the morning. Not to mention the drug dealers that happen to slip by the access gate... who always knocked on my door looking for the idiots next door. So if you like ecstasy and molly delivered to your apartment, sure, this place has it! Bonus perk I guess. read more

I lived here short term (10 weeks) over the summer months as part of a job relocation. I was very pleased with the amenities and quick responses of maintenance services. I never had any issues with parking nor vandalism to my car. It's a very convenient location for all access to freeways, shopping, and medical services. The only downsides I had were living in a unit facing the shopping plaza so there was some noise and light pollution. I would definitely recommend staying here, but I did ultimately communicate/handle everything through a relocation company, which might have made it more positive. read more

The only reason this is a 2 star review and not a 1 star is because of the maintenance staff and cleaning crew. They are quick to respond to emergencies, repairs, and there are only 2 maintenance workers for the entire 4 building complex. They also pick up the trash that people leave out because they are too lazy to throw it away themselves. The apartments aren't bad but you can hear the neighbors above you walking. Pretty good sized units. There are two dog parks yet there are people who leave dog crap on the grounds between both parks. There are noisy and inconsiderate neighbors who yell, scream, or play loud music past the "quiet time" (all hours of the night) set by the apartments. There was New Years Day vomit from a neighbor's New Years Eve party. Neighbors park their cars wherever they want even though each floor has their own dedicated floor to park. People park without placards and some have not been moved in the 2 1/2 yrs I've was there. Management called and was told security will be notified. They must be referring to the guy who walks around with his hat backwards and headphones in with no way to write up notes on these types of vehicles. Hopefully you don't need help in the early mornings because that's nap time. There are some neighbors who do not clean the gym equipment after sweating all over. They also break the TV remotes and play their own loud music without headphones. There is nothing luxurious about the Windsor apartments except for the maintenance and cleaning staff. They do try to offer community events and food trucks and it's a nice gesture. I appreciate that effort. They just need to do something about the inconsiderate people who live here. Management sets rules to prevent problems but lacks the backbone to enforce them. Luxury would include rules to ensure that everyone is having the same luxurious experience. *Update* It's been 3 months and no changes, even after calling and complaining. We've lived here for two months and everything so far as met or exceeded our expectations: -- Either I have completely silent neighbors or or this place has amazingly thick walls (probably the latter...) - I barely ever hear anything from my neighbors. -- Parking is always available for ourselves and guests (this was a concern with some of the other places we looked at) -- All staff (maintenance and leasing) have addressed any of our needs incredibly efficiently and respectfully (dishwasher leaked a bit when we first moved in but was fixed in a day, a piece of the blinds unit came off and was replaced in a day, etc.) -- Actual unit is in great condition -- Pool and Hot tubs are cleaned regularly -- They gym, hot tubs, and grills are great amenities! -- We love the amount of space on our patio -- While our unit does face the inside of the complex (some units face toward the highway), we never hear traffic from our room. The only thing I could knock them on is trash being left outside of the occasional tenant's door, or oversized trash being left out in the hallway, but this is more the fault of disrespectful tenants than anything else. The only reason we would leave this place is to live somewhere closer to the beach. We love it here! read more

This place has so much potential but falls very short- mainly because it gets so dirty. And it's obvious but management needs to be more detailed and pay attention to this. The trash needs to get picked up more and the sidewalks need to be power washed way more because it's soooooooo gross. And the fly situation is pretty unbearable. I don't know how you turn a blind eye to all of it. Location makes up for the nonsense and makes it bearable. Centrally located, great dining and shops across the street. Apartment amenities are great too- bbq, hammocks, club house, pools, gym, appliances, in house washer/dryer, etc. If they would clean up this place- it would be amazing. read more

They are upping my rent $800 a month! Right now I pay $2200 which is high enough for a two bedroom. But, since I need to go month-to month, they are gouging me and increasing rent to over $3000. Maybe that's why people are always moving out becuz they get angry. I asked them how much the rent would go up when I first signed the lease because I wasn't sure how long I would stay and they said they had no idea how much the rent would go up - i was totally mislead. The place is nice but someone smokes below me so I get to smoke also. Apts by the pool seem to get pretty roudy on the weekend and the language is pretty foul but its not a bad place to stay and i would have if they weren't trying to rip me off. So if you want to stay here, make sure you don't need an extension for a short period of time because they will stick it to you. read more

I've only moved in since beginning of August 2017. I have to say the process from start to finish was very smooth, if there was anything needed for me to provide, Elizabeth would just make it easy for me to not have to rush or stress about it. My favorite part which may sound corny and cheesy was when Elizabeth walked me to my unit and handed over my Keys her last statement to me was what showed me they were happy to have me here. Elizabeth said " Here are your Keys Mr. Quintero and welcome Home" She may say it to everyone that she walks over to their unit but it stood out to me. I walk in to ask if there's a certain battery I can buy for the gate remote , due to not knowing what size battery a key remote would have and I felt I was bothering her. I'm just not use to having someone just offer to say "I'll take care of it for you or you know what,let me just replace it so you don't have to deal with this issue anymore. Victor, gracias senor I had an issue with my sink in the bathroom it was early in the morning about 530 am Friday getting ready for work brushing my teeth. I try to turn off water and it was still going out. So I was like "gosh darn it I don't want it to hit the carpet and then have to file claim on renters policy go through that process etc... I called the emergency number I was given Incase of an issue. Not even 5 min later Victor calls says "I was notified about leak" I told him " yes sir its leaking and dripping on tile and I have some towels on the floor but I don't want it to hit the carpet". Victor said he was on his way I asked "how long so I can wait for you " He stated "don't worry about it you can go to work do I have permission to go in?" I said "yes sir are your sure you don't want me to stay" he said "no I understand you have to get to work I'll be there soon" That was awesome. I got back home after work everything was fixed he even replaced my light bulb in bathroom for me as well , he even picked up my towels put them in the bathtub and put the items I removed from under the sink back for me That was also cool !!! I lived here for a year from August 2008 until 2009. It's one of the better locations for luxury apartments in Orange, as it has Starbuck's, Coldstone's Creamery, a Mexican restaurant and Main Place Mall all within a quick walking distance. There are bike paths very close by that will take you from Orange to Tustin, and Geisha House and Mother's Market (an organic grocery store) are just a few blocks away. Location, Location, Location, right? That said, this facility gets very dirty and it's not quiet at all, what with being smack down next to the freeway. My car was covered in dust every morning, but if I closed my eyes at night the traffic sounded like the waves. Ha. The management is very decent, and they hold a lot of cool events for us like Taco Tuesday and Margaritas at El Torito across the street. Repairs are quick, say "hi" to Tito, the friendly repairman, for me! The pools are well taken care of, and the work out facility rocks. Sorry for the long review. Don't be surprised if they don't cut any deals for you to continue staying after your lease has ended (or is about to end). All in all, one of the best apartments I've stayed at. read more

The place is pretty much clean, the staff is absolutely great, especially Santina, the sweetest yet professional person I've ever seen in a residential management office. Maintenance guys are also great, parking was never a problem, including guest parking, neighbors quiet, and we felt safe living there. The only things that are not great about the place is the air quality and noise, both coming from the high traffic in the area. Great staff, and the complex is amazing :)

Now called Windsor, this complex of apartments could be mistaken for a resort hotel. Pool, jacuzzi, hammock, newly remodeled fitness center open 24 hours a day, impressive exterior, high floors, spacious units. A client of mine lives here and I come here 2-3 times a week to train with her. The first time I drove into the gated complex and walked through the common pool area, I was very impressed. It felt like an extended stay 4 star resort. Even the leasing office looks like the lobby of a Hyatt Regency. A bit pricey (about $1,800+ for rent for a 2 bedroom) but if one were so inclined both aesthetically and financially, I'd say go for it. read more

Gated community, private parking garage (very nicely lit and maintained), washer/dryer inside unit. Other things: quiet (no screaming babies, barking dogs, etc), amenities (2 pools 2 jacuzzis, gym, racquetball court, etc), friendly front office, large guest parking, fast repair services (our washer broke, got a new one within 1 day), and walk ability is ridiculous (Westfield mall, barnes and noble, mothers market, pinkberry, Starbucks, jamba juice, the habit...on and on). I loved so many things about living in Windsor. They had a great gym, thick walls between units, fun events pre COVID, and friendly maintenance staff. Windsor was especially great because the rent increase was negotiable and they really try to work with you on many requests that my previous apt complexes were unwilling to do. I lived there for 3 years in 2 different units. The only complaints I have about the complex were the water issues that constantly plagued one of the buildings, narrow turns in the parking garage, and issues with my security deposit refund. Other issues, such as frequent car alarms, dog poop not picked up, and parking availability mentioned in other reviews (I never had an issue with parking), are due to residents and I can't fault the community for that. Every negative review I have read about Windsor is true. I lived there for 7 years. The lease, the rude management, the outrageous rent hikes, the freeway noise and let's not forget the unsanitary conditions around the trash and just about everywhere else as well. I left the fancy 4th floor apartment home watching a couple allow their dog urinate in the hall. It was a fitting end. The leasing office is awesome. After that it's all downhill. As long as the location is within view of the leasing office it's great. Go into the garage and in the halls and be prepared to smell and see what I mean. This place was a hell-hole I finally managed to escape because as you all know it costs a fortune to move. Go anywhere else in Orange to live and avoid Windsor. You'll be glad you did. read more

Do NOT MOVE HERE!!! My family and I has lived in this overpriced shit hole for little over 4 months. First day here someone had a gun stolen from their vehicle also first night here my license plates were stolen off my car. Shortly after my fog lights were stolen off my car. Advised management both times and there response was that sucks and it's part of apartment life not anywhere I ever lived previously. Parking is an absolute nightmare you are given 2 permits to park on the structure floor you live on good luck finding parking it's not assigned at all and there are several vehicles with no permits at all wrong colored permits and vehicles with no permits and not running taking up these spaces parking is not monitored or regulated once so ever they'll tell you security monitors it at night but security don't exsist! One night about 1 am my wife and I witnessed a homeless guy jump over the pool take a shower in outdoor shower then go over to near by bbq cooked some food and went to outside lounge area turned on the fireplace and took a nap on outdoor couch under the fire almost like a resort camping experience for that guy I'm sure. Also if you like being woken up to loud as fuck fire alarms at 3,4 am and being told by emergency maintenance that it wasn't an emergency you'll love it. The manager and her puppets are the most unprofessional property management you'll ever come into contact with good luck getting return emails. The corporate is just as bad and can care less about what goes on here. Do yourself a favor look elsewhere! read more

Lived here for a year. My car got vandalized twice. Almost got stabbed by illegal tenant. After movie now I got sent to collections because of unpaid moving out fee which I was never aware of.
