While traveling for business to Chicago, the company I work for set up our ground transportation by hiring - "Windy City Limousine" to provide a ride from the airport to our hotel, as well as when it was time to leave Chicago, they had made arrangements for Wind City Limousine to pick us up at the hotel, and take us back to the O'Hare International Airport. I am so happy that I didn't have to drive in Chicago, as I noticed the traffic in downtown Chicago looked pretty busy. I won't even mention the traffic at the O'Hare International Airport, as it was super crazy! It was so much easier to be picked up & dropped off each time from the airport to the hotel, and vice versa. Both drivers who picked us up were pretty friendly and professional. I also liked the way the driver would follow our flight arrival times should our flight be delayed (you don't have to call and tell Windy City that you'll be late), and they would text you on your phone to update you on where the driver was, in relations on when they would be there to pick you up. When I received the text to my phone, they provided the driver's name & cellular phone number, type of vehicle they are driving, and the license plate of the vehicle so it would eliminate any confusion, as there were a ton of cars that made pickups at the airport. Apparently, Windy City Limousine is a pretty big operation. Besides the limo vehicle pickups, they also have full size buses, as well as smaller buses like the type we see back home (in da 808) like the Handi-van sized buses. The following day when we were bussed to the corporate office for a presentation meeting, as well as going to Wrigley Field to catch a Cubs game, Windy City Limousine was the vendor of choice who did our ground transportation. UPDATE: Windy City offered me a partial refund. I appreciate this, however it still did not take away from the only negative part of my wedding day. There's been a ton of negative reviews lately regarding Windy City and their execution of weddings. I would proceed with caution. My experience with Windy City was TERRIBLE! Do not book with them for your wedding. I booked a 39 passenger bus for my wedding on 09.16.22. I tried calling to speak with the wedding representative on multiple occasions and did not hear back. Here's all the things that went wrong: -music on the bus didn't work -driver called and texted me all day even though she had two contact numbers she was supposed to call -car was not properly checked for fluids, and ran out of coolant. Driver had to leave during my paid time to get coolant, and caused me to have to push back my entire ceremony/reception. I also had to pay extra money for my photographer and videographer due to this -I was charged for the full day even though we cut services off early, and she left for an hour to get coolant. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Caused so much stress during my wedding day and so much extra money had to be spent due to their terrible execution of my event. read more

We had two buses to take home guests from our wedding on 9/23/22. Both buses should have been full or near full before leaving. First bus left with only 12 PEOPLE in it (56 seater) and so the second bus filled up super quickly and it left. Wait for it- IT LEFT WITHOUT THE BRIDE OR GROOM & THE ENTIRE WEDDING PARTY + MY PARENTS. I took an Uber to my hotel with my husband & parents because the buses we paid for left without us on either of them. Idk. Maybe make sure the people paying you are on one when they said they'd be using the transportation themselves? We used Windy City Limo for our wedding transportation in June of 2022. We booked two 14 passenger vans for five hours. Both our drivers arrived early to the first destination and communicated with us and our wedding coordinator very well. The drivers were very nice and the vehicles were kept in great condition. One of the drivers helped our wedding party with unloading and moving around items with was much appreciated! Unfortunately, our experience with the front office was much different. Windy City Limo does not provide contracts, so we were never sure if our services were confirmed and if the information was correct. The paperwork they provided in advance had incorrect information and we requested updates numerous times, but each "correction" was still wrong. Due to this, we were incorrectly billed fr the services. Additionally, we were charged the incorrect hourly minimum for services. Our representative did not tell us the hourly minimum had been updated since our initial negotiation. The billing department was quick to correct these issues, but we were frustrated with this error after several requests. In short, the drivers and vehicles were fantastic, but the front office service was less than ideal. read more

I'm using this platform because Windy City does not have an email address or an active person who handles complaints. On Friday August 9th 2019 around 10pm I was on the highway in the far left lane (the fast lane) when a bus #610 comes right behind me, I mean if I had to slow down or put my foot on the brake the bus definitely would have ran over my Nissan Rogue. I was shaken. I moved to the middle lane as soon as possible letting bus #610 zoom by. I was so relieved. Maybe 2 miles later this same bus #610 moved to the far right lane and cutting off a little vehicle which caused the car behind it to slam on their brakes. I've never seen a Coach Motor bus drive so fast. Bus driver #610 was driving at very high speeds, tailgating and very negligent. Please Windy City Transportation do something about this and keep our roads safe. read more

This is my second trip with Windy City, but first with the whole family on a ride to O'hare. We rented car seats for the kids, and they were clean and in good condition. No crying from the kiddos, a plus for any trip. Our driver when picking up was early by 15 minutes and on arrival our driver was at the airport within 10 minutes of our family retrieving our bags. Took a Windy City Limo tour bus to Michigan for a Living Social deal. We enjoyed the trip back the most out of the day. The trip was cramped and the bathroom had no water and no toilet paper. The perk was that the bus let us drink all the way back and ignored the no-glass policy. read more

We have an unsigned note left by someone who attended Grace and Joe's Wedding at Morgan Manufacturing in Fulton Market on September 3, 2021. The note states that Windy City Limo hit our parked car (and caused significant body damage) around 4PM. Morgan Manufacturing confirmed the Windy City Limo was working that event however Windy City Limo has denied any responsibility and refused to pay for repairs to the vehicle. We will now have to pay the deductible and file a claim with our insurance company. Windy City Limo is NOT a reputable company. read more

A Windy City Limo shuttle bus backed into my PARKED car in downtown Chicago about 6 weeks ago. First and foremost, there was absolutely no need to backup as there was plenty of space to pull out. Second, the driver's insurance card was expired by over 12 months. Third, after 6 weeks we still have not heard anything from their insurance about refunding our deductible. The damage was minor but we should not be out the $500 deductible due to their driver's carelessness. There are plenty of other limo services in Chicago, find one that carries current insurance cards and doesn't back into parked cars. read more

My husband and I were married a couple of weeks ago and we hired Windy City for all of our transport needs and they were great! We had car for us, before the wedding to take photos and our chauffeur was so polite and nice! That was great. We also used the mini coach buses to transport about 70 people to and from the venue. We had a mixed experience using Windy City Limousine to transport our wedding guests to and from our wedding. The booking process was easy; Bailey recommended a 56-seat coach bus as the best option for our needs and budget. Our guests arrived in time for the ceremony and most of the evening shuttle service to 2 hotels went well. And then ... the driver left the venue at the end of the night without the bride and groom and about 20 other guests. The itinerary we filed with Windy City clearly noted that the bride and groom would be on the last trip leaving the venue. Dispatch was apologetic and sent the driver back. A family member drove us back to the hotel where guests were waiting at an after party. Everyone else waited 30 minutes until the driver returned. We filed a complaint with the company. Within the week, Claudia in the wedding department apologized and said the detailed itinerary should have prevented the problem from happening. She discounted our bill and we appreciated her quick response and apology. read more

I've Included pictures of the safety hazard they caused for no reason and lied about. -//Blocking westbound Adams drivers' view of only Stop sign in construction zone while illegally idling in the No Parking zone for considerable time-- waiting there at least a half hour, likely nearer an hour while WCL clients--a large wedding party was off in the park getting photographed. When my husband, an ex CPD neighbor and I came upon the hazard this limo created we explained it to him. We pointed-out that by parking there he totally obscured the one stop sign for that corner (since the other sign came down during construction was not replaced. ) We stressed that many unfamiliar drivers in area on way to UC for blackhawks game wouldn't ever see that stop sign and would blow the intersection, endangering pedestrians and northbound cars on Peoria who could see it was a four way stop. We urged the driver to move back 30 feet or more or around the corner where there was safe, ample space. He agreed. Then he shut his window, and with the security guard in just faced forward, refusing to move, ignoring us , talking to her -despite continued pleas and warnings. They both just went deaf and tuned us out. We called Windy City dispatch and gave the info and when they called him he ignored them too for over 20 min. Then dispatch informed us driver had claimed no issues, he was parked legally. Just sat there and lied away. He continued to refuse to move so we called 911, notified the aldermen offices, the precinct, explained the incident on the WL local Facebook page and will follow up tomorrow /- The massive recklessness of this driver notwithstanding-- imagine hiring this limo company for your big event and needing to communicate an additional pickup or a change to the limo driver and he ignored his dispatch!! Imagine how that could ruin your event /- judging numerous nightmarish negative Yelp reviews of this might be an entirely likely experience--normal terrible business practice for WCL. read more

It has been 4 days since we used Windy City Limousine. I am still upset that the driver used his cell phone for an extended time while transporting children. Alekis, the driver, drove teenagers at night, while it was snowing. This included being on the highway. Using his cell phone is against the company policy which is given to you in writing. The only saving grace is the administrative staff seems to be top notch. read more

Hired Windy City to shuttle guests between hotel and wedding venue. Driver was nice enough but took 35 minutes to drive a 20 minute route. We had to delay the wedding ceremony while waiting for the second group of guests to arrive. She was so late returning to the hotel for the second trip that several of our guests started calling Ubers because they didn't want to miss the ceremony. If anyone uses this company for limo rides - be aware that yesterday they blatantly discriminated against me. I called to book FOUR trips with them as I have used this company without problem in the past. This time I needed an SUV rather than a sedan due to the amount of luggage my husband and I were taking on our trip. I told the gentleman taking my reservation that I was handicapped and couldn't lift my left leg to get into their SUV. He offered to have the driver bring a step stool for me to use and I said great! After checking with "the boss" he informed me that there would be a $40 upcharge for the use of their step stool. You can buy a step stool at stores for $19.99!! Needless to say I didn't make my four reservations and they have lost all of my future business.
