I stopped by here this past Friday morning for coffee with the fiancé. We decided to come here after reading that it was a must stop place for coffee in a booklet we had received. The customer area inside is small like most bakeries and consists of a bunch of display cases with delicious looking items. Sadly i had already eaten breakfast and was not swayed by them but the siren call of a chocolate croissant lured my fiancé in. We both also went with americano's which the cashier had to call someone else over to make. The Americano's were good, strong and mostly smooth while my fiancé loved her chocolate croissant. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here in the future. While I do not think that this is a must stop place for coffee, it was pretty good and a lot of their other food looked good as well. read more

We ordered our desserts for thanksgiving from here. 2/3 were amazing. I loved the cheesecake and others liked the pumpkin pie. The apple was so tall and looked gorgeous....turned out that's because it was tightly packed with ingredients like a meat pie lol it was a bit much. Pick up was super easy except they didn't open extra early like other bakeries. Some of our group enjoyed single items to go when we arrived to pick up. This place was recommended when we were in Park City. However, when we arrived mid-morning, only 2 options remained. The person serving us was not friendly when we asked if any other options would be available later. Thus, we had a dry, boring blueberry bran muffin and a some other seeded flax thing. Was not impressed with either. Won't be back. read more

Owe had some of the most amazing, flakey croissants we have ever had. The apricot cream cheese danish was extraordinary. They also had a mean cup of coffee. The blonde girl working the counter was a delight and so cheerful. They also had delicious looking cakes and cookies, as well as soups and frittatas. If we were local, I would have definitely checked out the frozen lasagna and Mac n cheese. read more

I'm a huge fan, generally, of the Windy Ridge Bakery, so I don't want to give them an unsatisfactory rating, but I hope they can learn from this review. We got a carrot cake this past weekend that was a clunker, and I thought I ought to write about it. It was all eyeball and no taste. Cake is meant to please the palate, first and foremost. I have this advice for whoever is responsible for the cake: having the icing firm and making the consistency of the cake produce clean cuts may make for great photos, but it can't be done by making the icing waxy and tasteless and the cake dry. read more

If it weren't for yelp we wouldn't have made it to this place! In the middle of a business complex / industrial park, with a humble storefront tucked towards the back of a parking lot (we saw the cafe at windy ridge first). Inside is a display case with petite cookies, and some savory dishes too. The large chicken pot pie (19.99) and mini chicken pot pies looked delicious! We had just eaten lunch so instead bought a thumbprint cookie (pecan crust and jam center, not too buttery), a stareo (star shaped chocolate Oreo with buttercream filling, sweet and nothing amazing), and a ginger bread pumpkin cookie wth buttercream filling (soft & sweetly gingery). The girl at the counter wasn't able to answer our questions, there might have been a language barrier. read more

Have only tried them since the quarantine started. Somewhat limited menu with that but everything we tried was excellent. The key lime pie was fantastic! The breads, cookies and scones were all tasty and the chicken pot pie was delicious. The Apple frangipani tart looks awesome ( just picked it up today so haven't tried it yet). The online ordering and curbside delivery service was easy to use-once we realized the bakery was in a building BEHIND the cafe! Looking forward to ordering more goodies from here! read more

Im in park city for a client meeting, so I stopped in to get a little bite for my clients for our breakfast meeting. $80 later, I left with a quiche, and two dozen chocolate croissants. Needless to say, my clients were on such a sugar high that it painted a perfect setting! How can you go wrong with chocolate and carbs? Yummm! The sweet smell will blow your hair back. So delicious! Sunday morning. It was about 8:00AM. There were limited options given the hour I had with my 9-year-old. I'm all about chicken nuggets and a Sprite in the evening but the mornings are mine and I wasn't about to compromise. Yeah, I could have taken Jessica to a bagel shop or Burger King. Those Cinn-a-bons are a work of art for a fast food chain with no other kitchen appliances than a microwave! I wasn't cutting corners this particular morning. Google and my GPS found the place, even though I had eaten at the Windy Ridge Cafe out front once or twice before. This place is back behind the cafe. It's not super easy to find without a smartphone but if you don't have a smartphone by now, you probably don't deserve to be eating here in the first place. I had a marzipan croissant and she had a brownie. We bought a loaf of bread, still warm from the oven. No beverages aside from water, I was feeling cheap, mostly because I'd already had a cup of home-brewed coffee. This place is a treat. The pic of Obama being presented with one of their cakes at a Deer Valley fundraiser a few years ago was icing on the cake (pun intended). There's plenty to choose from, I doubt you'll make a mistake. I told the cashier about butter bells and suggested a jar of fruit preserves would have been a nice touch. That's about all the criticism I had for my brief visit. Experiences like this make me regret making Sandy my home. Then again, given the mud seasons that are a part of the Park City "regular resident" experience, I suppose Sandy is worth it, even though we have nothing on par with this place. Get there. Often. Appreciate what you have and suck it up during the mud season because summer and winter and this bakery is why you live where you live! read more

Awesome bakery. Beautifully presented cakes and pies. You will certainly impress if you bring a dessert from WR to your next dinner. My staple is the original "crack" bread. A Parmesan/sesame seed flat crispy bread that you can't stop eating! This will often sell out on concert days so be plan or call ahead. Chicken Pot Pies are a treat to try too! read more

When I first walked in around 830am, there was a lady at the front register but she did not greet me. I had to say hi first. She didn't ask what I was interested in getting - she just stared at me. Anyway I ordered the almond croissant, a blueberry scone, and chocolate macaroon, which totaled around $8. Prices not bad. You can see from my photo that the croissant was longer than my hand! If you are looking for that distinct almond flavor - you won't get it here. However, it was still really good. Just not what I was expecting. The blueberry scone was fresh and soft on the inside and flavorful. The chocolate macaroon was also very good. I kept it in the fridge at work to keep from melting until lunch, and that worked great. I would probably go back, but this bakery needs a friendly person working the front register. read more

I'm a foodie and I love this bakery. Everything is so fresh and delicious. I know they're full of fat but they're so good. The pastries are flaky and buttery. The pies are perfection in a pan. We come here every time we go to Park City and I always want to bring something home, but we never make it, because I always eat them before I get home. My girlfriends and I purchased a pie and ate it with spoons one time, that's how delicious these are. read more

I'm a big fan of this bakery! Their brownies are to die for and the Stareos (star-shaped chocolate cookies filled with vanilla bean pastry cream and dipped in chocolate on one side) are phenomenal. I haven't tried their savory offerings, but they typically have a wonderful assortment of sweets. Last time I went in, they had macaroons, French macarons, tarts, lemon bars, brownies, standard cookies (chocolate chip, sugar, etc.), peanut butter sandwich cookies and more. My only disappointments there so far are the sugar cookies (iced with fondant rather than icing, so it's hard...they look lovely, though!), pistachio macarons (overly sweet) and the fact that they don't make a variety of cupcakes (if they have any at all on a particular day, they're oversized chocolate cupcakes). read more

The almond croissants are quite possibly the best I've had in the States and are definitely my local favorite. Everything I've had from Windy Ridge has been incredible - from their pies during the holidays, to the tasting platter I received for my birthday last year. Baked goods were very satisfying ... we tried quiche, apple almond tart, apple pie, and others. I would recommend for all their tasty goods. However, the service lags in quality and customer attention. Our lesson learned is to check the bill, and if items are charged incorrectly, let the baker know, as the staff doesn't know how to correct ... and expect to be questioned and blamed for them ringing up your items incorrectly. read more

I was looking for a small cake or cupcake for a birthday. They had a variety of small desserts so I picked a bunch of the instead of going for a cake. They were all decadent...the chocolate was rich, the custard was the perfect creaminess with structure and the fruit on top was nice and fresh. read more

wonderful pastry. i'm not a huge fan of cake, however, their cakes are these amazing velvety concoctions that don't weigh you down, don't make you feel like you're being attacked by sugar crystals. the one i chomped on was the vanilla bean cream cake. vanilla bean white cake layered with vanilla bean pastry cream, vanilla syrup, and fresh raspberries or strawberries. So far so good! I got turned on to this place by a friend. The pastries and cookies are definitely melt in your mouth worth good ingredients. The prices are a good value compared to other places and even Smiths. Only drawback or funny part is this place is located in an industrial park area so it's hard to find unless you look for Windy Ridge Cafe. This place is legit. I never thought I would find a Paris-quality bakery in Park City, but the almond croissant was just that buttery and flaky. I can't wait to go back and try more of their pastries. We also tried several of their cookies and their Chocolate Decadence cake. . . which was almost TOO decadent. While Windy Ridge likely earns its title as best bakery in Park City, with all the pictures posted being spot on, if you are looking for gluten free baked goods - as advertised - this is NOT the place to go. In fact, it's insulting that they hold themselves out as having gluten free options as they don't have the slightest clue of what gluten free means. While the one gluten free option they had in the case looked appealing enough, the fact that it was sandwiched between other baked goods cross contaminated and ruined any possibility of the item being gluten free. When I inquired of the women working at the counter, at first I thought she was doing her best imitation of the many deer in headlights that you will find as you drive around Park City at night. When the doe actually spoke, she confirmed that there was no dedicated prep area for the gluten free item and she did not even know what cross contamination meant. Windy City should stick to what it knows how to do, and apparently quite well at that. But shame on it for advertising gluten free baked goods without having the slightest clue what it means and the ramifications to others of its ignorance. read more

Who knew in the middle of an industrial complex an amazing bakery and restaurant exist. My hubby got a a scone and I a croissant - yummy. Highly recommend getting your coffee elsewhere but be sure to get your baked goods here. Also have meals to go. read more

Could there possibly be a more difficult business to deal with? I mean I know that they are a popular bakery - and most of their stuff is good (it is ALL over-priced), but seriously, they are terrible at customer service. Every time I call to order a pie or cake for a special occasion, it is an ordeal. Today, I called to buy a pie for my son's birthday. The woman said that they had 3 apple pies, 2 berry pies and one strawberry pie left (at 8:30 am). I asked her to hold a berry pie and that I would be in by 9:30 am to pick it up. She said that she could not hold a pie for me since they only had two left. Fair enough. So, I offered her my credit card number and told her that she could charge the card and I would pick up the pie. She said, and I quote, "I can't do that either. This is our busy season and we need at least 48 hours to reserve a pie." Busy Season? The summer in Park City is about as busy as a dog napping in the sun. Now, what's interesting is that I got the exact same line when I tried to order a cake last December. I get that Park City can be "busy season" in the winter, but not in the dead of summer when the total population drops below Chernobol. When I asked why she could not/would not take a credit card to BUY A PIE, she simply said, "It's our policy during busy season." I guess I am just use to dealing with businesses that want to do business - or, at the very least, attempt to make the customer happy. I am not happy. read more
