Nice little coffee shop with lots of good choices and plenty of room to sit. Plus a nice little seating area right outside the front door.

Overall: Average. Decent cafe place to pop in for something basic. Will be back to try more. Food/drinks: -Apple pie sponge cake. LOVE. It was a sponge cake in bundt cake form topped with a nice layer of heavy whipped cream as the icing and apple pie filling. Not too sweet and felt light despite knowing it probably wasn't. -Veggie quiche. Too plain for my taste. Needs more use of spices/herbs and maybe a little more salt throughout and not just the top layer. The bottom half was completely plain and bland. Crust could've been better if it was buttery and/or flaky to give it better texture. -Gold Digger. Too sweet for me but my partner enjoyed it. He has more of a sweet tooth. -Chai Charger. Also a bit sweet but I had picked sweet over too gingery when asked which I preferred. Otherwise, tasted good. Space: Rustic feel. Has a pleasantly busy cafe ambiance. I like how it's a small business and it feels more personable in there. Service: Quick, polite, and friendly. Price: Average.

Pooped in very quick to grab a latte as the weather had changed outside and I was freezing and needed something warm while we strolled Golden. I opted for the bee and lavender latte as it was sweet and just what I needed. Pricing was typical to what I'd pay back home on the easy coast. The cafe itself was very cute and cozy. Service was friendly and on the slower side.

I'm a fan of Windy Saddle Cafe and will continue to visit. My favorite part is their kid friendliness with their Kids Corral area and kids menu! The food and lattes are good - I recommend the quiches. My gripes: 1) wish the kids area was cleaner, 2) wish the bathrooms were cleaner. This place gets very busy given the great location in downtown Golden. Visiting before 9:30 am on weekends is ideal. They have outside seating and free wifi.

Cutest little cafe that had gluten-free options, yay! I got the breakfast sandwich on GF bread. Was able to get it with turkey sausage or deli turkey instead of bacon. And they did goat cheese instead of cheddar since I cannot do dairy. It was kitchen approved and SO GOOD! It came with a hard cooked egg and I would totally come back and get this again. Also, got coffee with coconut milk and sugar free vanilla, very yummy.

This cafe has definitely left an impression! I love that they offer inside and outside dining, the cafe's vibe, the menu variety (including gluten-free and vegan dishes), and the cute place. The decor from the lights to the menu sign, to the chairs and art is truly unique. The service was unmatched! Both of the employees I interacted with were kind and friendly. They're also one of the only cafes I've been to with a designated children's play area. Definitely a spot worth popping into while in Golden. playroom. Will definitely be my first choice to stop by every time I am in Golden. Highly recommend!

Great little patio . fun rustic decor inside- not like a chain coffee shop. Have some pastries and tasty croissant sandwiches.

Windy Saddle is the cutest little breakfast/lunch spot ! So many delicious plates to choose from - breakfast food, sandwiches, salads, wraps, and more. They have a great coffee selection as well. The staff is extremely friendly and made for a pleasant experience.

Great hometown coffee cafe with a great selection of breakfast and lunch items. We like the coffees, particularly the oat milk lattes.

Brooklynne my server especially stood out to me, and her professionalism was on another level. I felt like I was treated with very polished, white-glove-level service while she was still warm, respectful, and genuinely fun to talk to. I couldn't help but notice how well she treated customers around me too and was just blown away! If you're looking for a high level of quality service and knowledge on tea and many other boujee things, she's your girl and this is your spot! I've been to many tea rooms and other high-end spots in Colorado before, and I can honestly say I've never had an experience quite like this. It's a bonus that it's in downtown Golden too! Will be surprising my gf for our anniversary here next month .

It started raining a bit, so we headed over the bridge to find a place to have a drink or an appetizer. It's pretty enough inside, just like the pictures show. I wanted to sit outside, but even on the covered patio, water from the umbrellas would have dripped on us. Perhaps rearrange so one can sit out on the patio without getting wet? The problem was with the service and drinks we received. A Happy Hour menu was provided. Everything on there, I think, was half off we were told. My friend ordered a lemon martini and I ordered a mocktail. Her drink was made with tequila! When she sent it back, the server said, oh, so many drinks have tequila by default so that's why it automatically was added. To a martini????? She asked what was preferred, and my friend said vodka. When our drinks came, mine was about a quarter full. Literally a couple sips and it was gone. The bartender forgot the vodka totally so the martini was like a lemonade. So disappointing. We left to pay and the server said the martini wasn't on the Happy Hour menu, and she had to charge for the shot that was supposed to be in it!!! What cocktail doesn't already have the shot of whatever in it? An extra shot was not ordered, not received. Our bill for two small non-alcoholic drinks was over $26. The manager should really do a quality check and train the bartender and staff properly.

You should know - not every First Watch has a bar, but this one does! And, if you're a mimosa, bloody mary or even a summer sangria lover, you'll be happy to know their cocktails are waiting :) What I've always loved about First Watch still holds true: fresh ingredients, sourced locally when able, and a hard pass on too many processed offerings. Add the friendly servers, the hardworking kitchen staff in the back and the efficiency of the whole place - you've got a great experience every time. I'm a fan of routine and consistency when I'm not feeling adventurous - or when I have a hankering for something specific. First Watch totally delivers here. We've ordered a pitcher of the blackberry muddled sangria recently and love that it's made fresh. We splurged this past time and couldn't pass up their pumpkin spice donut holes and my guy had their seasonal Maple Bacon Croissant sandwich (I had a bite and vowed to order this on our next trip!). I'm a fan of spice and ordered the Chili Chorizo omelette. No bad orders here - and their plating is so nice. I'm a fan, always have been. If you haven't been, this is your sign.
