I had a great night in Summerville! I didn't get any pics of my wine but the spinach dip was amazing! The bartender/Sommelier was very smart on the drinks and great with suggestions! It was a rainy day so its perfect for sitting and hiding from the rain! The chairs are comfy and perfect for groups of friends and there is also bar seating for the solo adventurers! Definitely stop by for a few bites and drinks! Oh, I almost forgot all the amazing ciders I got to try as well! Not normally a cider drinker so I was very pleasantly surprised!

I enjoy coming here from time to time to study or attend their wine tasting nights. The owner is so nice and very knowledgeable about wines. The rest of the staff are always so friendly and make me feel welcome. I wish they did have a bigger and more unique wine list but I'm always able to find a couple I enjoy. They have a nice ambiance and plenty of seating that's comfortable. Nice spot in downtown Summerville.

I thought the bar tender was very friendly and had great energy. She offered me a couple of samples to help me narrow down my choices. I sampled a really good sparkling red blend that was very good, a little sweet but worth trying. I settled on a German Riesling that was nice, somewhat sweet but definitely full bodied. I think the prices are a bit high, for example I could purchase a decent bottle of wine for the price of a couple of glasses here, in this economy I can't see coming here regularly. I do think it's worth a visit, a nice spot to meet after work or for a girls evening out. There is a decent amount of indoor seating. The atmosphere was quiet and made pleasant conversation very easy. Overall I enjoyed the overall vibe. Parking in the front.

The staff is so friendly and it's just such a relaxed atmosphere in here. We love coming with our friends to get a few drinks and enjoy the snacks.

Enjoyed a glass of wine and charcuterie board in Summerville. The town is cute with shops and restaurants. A must try!

Wine & Tapas Bar is a wine bar and tapas restaurant that opened in Summerville, South Carolina in 2018. It was founded by business partners Vicki Taylor and Rick Bihrle. Their goal was to open a restaurant that would be a great place for friends to gather. In addition to their impressive selection of wines, they also have a large selection of craft beer. Their food menu consists of flatbreads, sandwiches, wraps, salads, tacos, charcuterie, and various small plates. The bar also frequently hosts live music as well as "Paint & Sip" nights. My family and I visited the Wine & Tapas Bar while we were on an East Coast Road Trip. We were visiting our cousins who live in Summerville (right outside of Charleston). On our first night in town, we were exploring the historic downtown area. After some dinner and some rounds of axe-throwing nearby, we were all in the mood for some wine and charcuterie. We first stopped at a different wine bar/shop across the street, but we had just missed last call. Fortunately, a customer pointed us towards the Wine & Tapas Bar and told us that they were still offering wine and food. The charcuterie menu was very impressive; there were so many items that you could add to your board. We settled on Irish Whiskey-Aged Cheddar, Smoked Gouda, Cranberry Wensley Dale, Stagberry Salami, and Duck Prosciutto. The charcuterie board was served with bread slices, mustards, almonds, walnuts, figs, olives, apple slices, and gherkins. This was one of the best charcuterie boards that we have had in a while. To drink, my wife had a glass of "Alasia" (Moscato d'Asti) and I had a glass of "Crested Porcupine" (Pinot Noir). We were very happy with our wines! Overall, we really enjoyed our visit to the Wine & Tapas Bar and we would definitely return the next time we're visiting our cousins in Summerville.

    Sour and broken beer cheese

Used to frequent this place, for a reason. Over the past 2 years it has gone downhill in a major way. The $48 charcuterie board was so so sad. Portions have been cut in half and tonight maybe a quarter of what it once was. The beer cheese was a crowd favorite with the baguette, pita bread and peppers. We were served the "cheese" with a handful of bread with broken and sour cheese and a smell radiating off of it that had to be covered up. The cocktails were great though! Cold brew martinis and the autumn White Russian were alright. And the whole area by the bathroom smelled in general. No ownership or explanation about what happened with the food by service. Just extremely disappointing overall. Our favorite girls night spot has become a place to avoid. :( we miss you old Wine and Tapas

Lovvvvvved it here. Hubby and I came to celebrate our anniversary. It was our first time giving this place a try. When we walked in there are seats at the bar, a few tabled seating along the side and some comfy couches towards the back. We were told to sit wherever we pleased and someone would be with us. We sat at the comfy couches. However, I think I would prefer to sit at the bar or tables because I felt the waitress forgot about us a few times. Besides that everyone was super friendly and helpful. Great wine list, and small plates. Give their chicken bacon sliders a try. It was amazing. Looks like they offer wine tasting and live music on certain nights. Will certainly be coming back.

    Stuffed mushrooms and spinach dip
    Danielle J.

The stuffed mushrooms are jam packed with flavor, highly recommend. Wine pours are great. The meat and cheese is underwhelming, pricey for what you get with not many accoutrements. Pleasantly surprised they even have a Gewurtztraminer on the wine list by the glass.

Great environment! I've been a number of times- to have a drink with a friend, a group outing, celebratory outing, etc. Each time has been wonderful. The wine selection is plentiful and I recommend the flight! The staff is great at recommending wines and what on the charcuterie will go well with it. All the food is delicious and fresh! The boards are sizeable and great for sharing. I def recommend this local little shop if you are in Summerville!

Wine and tapas is our go to for a weekend or weekday date nice. They always have great service- super personable, friendly and remember us and our order when we come (shout out to Mary and Alyssa!). And don't get me started on the food-absolutely delicious! Their beer menu and wine menu is endless and we always try something new when we come and are never disappointed. Also can't forget the great date night vibes with a variety of music and beautiful atmosphere. I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a warm, welcoming staff and an atmosphere that feels both relaxed and elevated--casual enough to enjoy comfortably, yet clearly driven by culinary passion and quality. The food is exceptional. The truffle short rib pizza is a standout and truly unforgettable. The short rib is tender, rich, and deeply flavorful, perfectly complemented by the earthy truffle notes without being overpowering. The crust is expertly done--crispy on the outside with just the right chew--clearly the result of skill and attention to detail. Knowing that the ingredients are made in-house only adds to the appreciation; every bite tastes intentional, fresh, and thoughtfully crafted. The cheesesteak egg rolls are another must-have. Crispy on the outside, generously filled, and bursting with savory flavor, they strike the perfect balance between comfort food and elevated appetizer. Dipping them into the spicy ketchup takes them to the next level, adding just the right amount of heat and tang to round everything out. Service truly elevates the experience. Dasha was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure everything was perfect without ever feeling intrusive. She keeps recommending items and pairings which made the interaction very entertaining. Her attentiveness and making sure service was top tier was met with perfection! Meeting the owner was a highlight as well. Learning that he was trained internationally within Michelin-star restaurants explains the level of execution and creativity on the menu. That high-level training clearly translates into the food, while still maintaining an approachable, community-focused vibe. You can tell when someone loves what they do especially as a chef because you can taste it in their food. Overall, Fireside Pizza is doing something special in Moncks Corner--combining top-tier culinary technique, house-made ingredients, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Tucked away in a little corner beside the KFC, this hidden gem is so worth a revisit for the whipped ricotta and fried dough. This is easily a five-star experience and a place that deserves repeat visits. Highly recommended.

Overall, it ended up being one of those meals that was perfectly fine--nothing bad, but nothing that really wowed us either. We started with the Brussel Sprouts, which were definitely the highlight. Nicely cooked, flavorful, and a great way to kick things off. We shared a Margherita pizza that was just okay--good enough, but a little forgettable compared to other spots around town. The Sicily salad was next, and if you're a salad person, you'll probably enjoy this one. It was fresh, well balanced, and one of the more satisfying dishes we tried. We also ordered the Drunk Cutlet sandwich. The flavors were there, but the cutlet itself was super thin, so it felt a little underwhelming for the size of the bread. The short rib bolognese was solid--comforting and hearty, though not something I'd rush back specifically for. All in all, Fireside is a decent neighborhood spot for a quick, easy meal. It didn't blow us away, but it's a reliable option when you want a casual bite without much fuss.

Finds your table, if you arrive early for a reservation we had luck with them seating us and he says a kind goodbye as we left each time. Nice list of 3 mocktails so even if not consuming alcohol one can look to play the part at the table and enjoy the flavor notes of a well made cocktail. The first meal we had was a bit of a work/get together meal. We ordered an assortment of items off of the menu and created a more tapas menu. The charcuterie board we picked the cheeses for and it was lovely. All as expected and quite surprised to find a cheddar I enjoyed. Came with some grapes, figs, nuts, honey and I think mustard. Glazed carrots were phenomenal. Heartily enjoyed the beet salad and thought the presentation was quite pretty. Lamb lettuce wraps are alright. Not my favorite of all the dishes served but delivered as promised, nicely cooked and presented. Spouse really liked the lamb wraps and were a stand out dish to them. Meatballs are excellent truly great texture and flavor. Escargot was a fun take on a classic dish. Finished with a unique strudel in its presentation it was quite pleasant. Spouse liked the peanut butter chocolate dessert. For brunch, I had the carrot ginger soup. Which I must say was a total delight. The soup had the hallmark texture and base flavor of the carrot ginger but it had a beautiful breath of savory and some heat seasoning wise to it. It was quite an elevated soup and heartily enjoyed! I followed the carrot soup with a French toast. I am all for softly scrambled eggs but the French toast was a touch undercooked. (I did not let the restaurant know or give them the chance to make right. I regularly eat soft boiled eggs and soft scrambled so I felt comfortable with consuming them.) Strawberries were ripe and tasty. The whipped cream was gorgeous in thickness and flavor. One in law had the caesar salad with croutons and grilled chicken. Their bowl was left clean so while they are not the talkative of sorts they did seem to enjoy it. Ordered a baguette with butter. Unfortunately the butter never made it to the table but the baguette was enjoyed. Spouse had the Azur burger with the side of tapas style potatoes. All was cooked properly to temperature and texture. Flavor and taste as promised. Wasn't their favorite dish at Azur as we had tried so many lovely dishes a few evenings before. But it did deliver on what was represented in the menu. I am not someone who waits in line for a reservation. I always joke that if Jesus Christ is at the end of the line, I'm still not waiting. So... we paid someone to stand in line for us. The place itself is adorable. Small, intimate, and full of charm. I was a little thrown off that the only drink options are beer, wine, or water. Two people in our party don't drink, so that felt like a miss. But then the food came. And I get it now. It was, without question, some of the best food I've had in a long time. We ordered a lot, and every single dish delivered. The caviar sliders were unbelievably good, buttery, salty, and indulgent in the best way. The tuna toast, fennel and celery salad, and ceviche were all standout, with the ceviche being especially memorable. The soft shell crab and tempura flounder were perfectly done. Even the gundi surprised me. And to finish, the "not fried" ice cream and banana pudding were just outstanding. Service was excellent, warm and attentive without being over the top. The whole experience felt special. Bottom line: I hate waiting in line, and I still wouldn't. But I am very glad we found a way around it. Totally worth it.

He explained the menu well and provided good direction on wine. All of the other employees we interacted with were friendly and helpful too. On the to important part, the food. The three of us shared plates throughout the meal. i want to hit the highlights. We started with the Seared Blue Fin Tuna, the Radishes, and the Cauliflower. We picked the tuna dish after watching one being made almost in front of us for another table. It was as good as it looked. It was different than any tuna dish I have had thanks to the cashew tahini the dish sat on. The flavors together were great. The Cauliflower was cooked, then maybe fried, and tasted great with the green curry and peanut sauce. We enjoyed this dish. Out of the three I think that, surprisingly, the Radishes were my favorite. The dish includes almond, charcoal, and green olive. There also was fresh dill that was great. The flavors were fantastic and took away some of the usual sharpness you have with radishes. If you go, try this dish. The mains we shared were the Market Fish and the Carrot Bolognese. The Market Fish was great. The sunchoke veloute, mushrooms, and salsa verde added great flavor. But I want to spend more time on the Carrot Bolognese, which was my other favorite dish. It included rigatoni, labneh, and ricotta salata. I am not a good enough cook to deduce how exactly the carrots were cooked and prepared, but it was a carrot based sauce over the rigatoni and it was simply fantastic. Even my carnivore wife and son thought it was amazing. If you find yourself in Charleston and want to treat yourself right, you need to make your way to Sorghum & Salt.

The drinks are priced on the higher end, but the relaxed, comfortable atmosphere makes it feel approachable. We also love that they offer seasonal and holiday cocktails, which is right up our alley. We brought Luna along and sat on the patio, which was a nice option. I would love to see heaters added outside to make the patio more comfortable on cooler nights. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive throughout our visit. I ordered the Fireside Chat (served warm), made with Four Roses Bourbon, Croft Tawny Port, apple cider, orange juice, grenadine, turbinado sugar, allspice, and clove ($15). I really enjoyed the flavor profile--warm, well-balanced, and perfect for the season. That said, I was a little disappointed that my second drink wasn't garnished nearly as nicely as the first, especially given the price. Flavor-wise, though, both were very good. My husband started with the Gingersnap, which includes Monkey Shoulder blended Scotch whisky, Disaronno almond liqueur, butterscotch liqueur, spiced ginger syrup, heavy cream, Angostura bitters, cookie rim, and nutmeg ($16). He enjoyed it but felt it was definitely a one-drink cocktail due to how sweet, creamy, and heavy it was. He also ordered the Smoked Maple-Bacon Old Fashioned with bacon fat-washed bourbon, spiced maple syrup, tobacco bitters, and a salted brown sugar rim ($16). This one was a miss for him--too sweet, with the maple and smoke overpowering the drink, and not much bacon flavor coming through. That said, the presentation was excellent; watching the smoke being lit was a highlight, and I even grabbed a video of it. Our total came to about $71 before tip, and we didn't order any food, so it's definitely on the pricier side. Still, for the ambiance, creative cocktails, and overall experience, I think it's worth it--especially for a relaxed night out with a more elevated feel.
