It's true that I don't go out downtown as much anymore, but rec room was a regular haunt for me back in the day. While the age of the crowd has gotten younger or maybe I've gotten older the welcoming vibes that rec room offers to all walks of life is undeniable. I remember it being busy in the past, but never as packed as I saw it last night. Still a great time but cutting through the crowd to get to the bathroom was nothing short of Olympic athleticism. Drinks are still fairly cheap but it's a dive bar.. they should be cheap since you're getting a small plastic cup and rail liquor. They had a live band inside but it was extremely loud even sitting outside. If you're gonna pay a cover you might as well go somewhere else.
