Great lunch specials. You get a good portion size for lunch and it is all around $6.95. The flavor is a bit heavy on the sesame oil, but the food is good. It's good American Chinese food. I have gotten the General Tso's Chicken, the Beef Chow Fun (get it spicy), the Chicken with Garlic Sauce, and the lo mein. Oh the lo mein. It is one of the best I have had in a very long time. Believe it or not, most Chinese places cannot make good lo mein and this place makes GREAT lo mein. Plus the full size dinner one is only $8.95 and you get a very decent portion. I really like that they make the General Tso's chicken with white meat chicken. No more gristly dark meat General Tso's. I also like the fried wontons noodles they give you when you sit down. The appetizer sampler had delicious spring rolls and dumplings, however the chicken satay and spare ribs were very over cooked and rubbery. The crispy noodles provided to the table tasted like the ones you can buy in a can at giant - sad! Seafood gor ba was prepared table side and was tasty and included a small lobster tail. This place was soo good!!! I wanted wonton soup (which I like albeit most wontons usually taste a little off to me) and it was such a refreshing surprise to get such good dumplings and broth!!! They are shaped like little shooting stars so nice and easy to cut in half with a spoon. The chicken fried rice was fresh and not greasy like the usual dark brown one. My only complaint is could use a touch more vegetables maybe some carrots and peas or whatever. No flavor to the meat or the dish. The pork fried rice, was also tasteless, no flavor the bits of pork that was uncooked, most of it was just pieces of fat. The quality of food is horrible. The place is outdated. I don't know how they are still in business. Please don't go to this horrible place and waste your hard earned money, especially in these times. For years, I've zipped past this restaurant because from the road, the small strip mall that it is in doesn't look like there's anything noteworthy at all. I only decided to try Wing Lee because I saw their listing in Yelp. When I got there, I thought it was rather funny that next door is an adult store with all kinds of lingerie-clad manniquins in the window, but hey, they can't choose their neighbors. Service was top-notch. We were first-timers at the restaurant and everyone, from the owner to the wait staff, took the time to talk to us. The server was also very attentive, filling our water glasses as needed and making recommendations on condiments, etc. As for the food, it was the best Chinese we've had in a long while. I actually had the Paha Thai Noodle, which was pretty much like Pad Thai, this time. It was tasty and the portion size was ample. All in all, I was impressed. We came in not expecting much as this place seemed alright from its website. Our expectations were surpassed during our meal. The menu is extensive with a page full of specials. As an appetizer I ordered the Alaskan sushi. It was fair. Nothing super special. As a main dish I had the steamed chicken with vegetables in a sesame sauce. My husband ordered the lo main. He said it was just fair. My mom. who were with us, ordered the steamed shrimp with vegetables and a garlic soy sauce. She said the garlic sauce had a funny taste. She did not like it. When we asked the waitress if she could get a different sauce to take home with her leftovers, the waitress said no and tried talking up the sauce my mom didn't care for. By far the BEST sushi place I have ever eaten at and it is the ONLY place I am willing to go for it. It's not the closest place to my home, but it's always worth the drive. I've tried my fair share of the local sushi restaurants but not one has ever come close to comparison. The fish is always so fresh and high quality, the rolls are always packed neatly and prepared perfectly every time. Occasionally, I will order Chinese food instead which is always delicious but the standard of sushi is just so superior that I make sure all of friends and family know that if they haven't tried it, it's worth their time and drive and they become instantly hooked too. I have many family and friends that exclusively buy their sushi here and spread the word further! They offer takeout, dine in or delivery. I usually call my order in and pick it up. I've gone weekdays, weekends, lunch, dinner, late night, but no matter when I come in Mr. Lee is always waiting to greet me up front. I've never seen the man have a day off and he's always warm and friendly and comes to know his customers quickly. He even recognizes my voice over the phone. For owners who work so long and hard, they never let it affect the quality of food, or their customer service. Their time estimations are always accurate and I rarely have found myself waiting for my order to finish up (and even if I did, it's always worth it.) I would give more than 5 stars if I could and I will be a loyal and frequent customer for life! I don't have 1 complaint, suggestion or issue in the years since I've discovered Wing Lee. Service was a little slow. We arrived around 6:45 and hoped to be finished by 730 since we had plans. However, dinner arrived to table around 725. I thought the dumpling appetizer was delicious- taste homemade. I got the Szechuan beef which was excellent. The server brought me hot chili oil to make it hotter to my taste. Delicious. I have been here many times and it has been even better the last few times. One of the few places that still gives a pot of hot tea and the fried noodle won tons in a bowl with duck sauce and hot mustard as you sit down. Love that. Generals chicken was all white meat, generous portion and very very tender. Hubby even said it was the best he has had. The hot and sour soup was also one of the best. We started with California rolls...glad to have a little sushi. Service was professional...not overly personable, but very efficient and timely. Usually a Monday night special when i'm craving good General Tso Chicken. My favorite is their pork fried rice! Not too greasy and the pork/rice ratio is pretty good. I will visit in the afternoon if I am off from work to enjoy their quick and easy lunch specials. Will sometimes go for the coconut shrimp special but my main go to is the General Tso! Their sushi chef is amazing and I am in LOVE with their volcano roll! I ordered take out and received -Hot and Sour Soup - very flavorful, great balance between hot and sour, the soup wasn't gloopy, or too peppery that some chinese places like to do. -General Tsos Chicken and Shrimp - white mean chicken tasted great, huge jumbo shrimp. there wasnt too much breading and it wasn't overly sauced, it was a great dish. -Singapore Angel Pasta - very fresh tasting flavorful noodles with a curry flavor, mixed with pork, shrimp and veggies. tasted great. So it was a mixed experience here at this restaurant.... There were some good and bad things. Both my friend and I got their dinner deal, although I not sure of their exact terminology but you get a soup, spring roll, entree and dessert. Not sure really how to take this, but both my friend and I do not eat spring rolls so we simply asked if we could have another cup of wonton soup in place of the two orders of spring roles and we couldn't do that.... Not a big deal but when I got the wontons, the were only two in there. Just felt like the waitress could have done something. I did enjoy their wonton soup as they have thinner noodles. Most places have it with thick noodles and barely any meat but this place did it perfectly. Reminds me of my moms wonton soup. For the meals, I got the jumbo honey fried shrimp which was delicious but very rich in taste. My friend got the general tso chicken, which had a very different taste than most Chinese restaurants. She likes it but I was not a fan. Amount of food seems like less than what you normally get at a Chinese restaurant. So overall ok place. Upon entering Wing Lee Cuisine we were greeted by a fish tank containing several bulbous goldfish - a good omen. We got soup to start. I wasn't crazy about the hot & sour soup, which seemed neither particularly hot nor sour, but my mom really liked her won ton. She said the dough they used was very light. The main course, however, was great. I had grand marnier mango chicken (one of the specials). The chicken was thinly sliced and very tender, and there were nice sized pieces of mango in it as well, which for some reason I wasn't expecting. My mom had orange shrimp which she said was excellent. The broccoli served with it was bright green and crunchy, and even the parsley tasted like it had just been picked. One of the employees (possibly Mrs. Lee) noticed us examining something in the orange shrimp and warned us not to eat the peppers (she mistook it for General Tso's.) It turned out to be a piece of orange rind (which she said we could eat.) Anyway I mention it because I like when people from the restaurant are friendly like this. It makes you feel at home. I was a little disappointed by the dessert offering; I remembered seeing on the menu ice cream, truffle ice cream, and fried bananas, but didn't recall all the details, so we asked. The waiter said they only had ice cream, so we passed. Maybe they were out of the other things. Also, he brought our check right after the meal, without asking about dessert. We often "save room" for dessert and get part of our meal wrapped up, but I guess he thought we couldn't eat any more. When you walk into a restaurant it's for one of the following reasons: A) You work there; B) You are delivering supplies; C) You are picking up a take out order or D): You want to dine there. The first three reasons did not apply to my husband and I the two times we went here for dinner so we don't understand why Wing Lee would say to us "May I help you?" in a condescending tone and looking at us like how dare we have the audacity to come to his restaurant. He did this to us both times we had dinner there. I have to agree with the other reviewers that the food is outstanding; however the ignorant behavior of the owner will certainly keep us from and future visits to Wing Lee. The first time we went there was on a Friday night and the place was crowded. We watched Wing Lee go to EVERY table to say hello to the guests. He never said a word to us. We went there for dinner a second time (against our better judgement) on 4/16/14. At the time there were only two tables occupied and those guest were just finishing up. So for a period of time my husband and I were the ONLY dinner guests in the restaurant and Wing Lee never came over to say hello or ask how we liked the food. Our sever was lurking in the background watching us as we ate. I felt like he was going to take my plate before I was finished if I put my fork down. As we were finishing our dinner a few more guests came in. Wing Lee went right over to them and started talking and laughing with them. He never even looked at us. When we paid the check the server came over and said thank you. When we walked past Wing Lee at the front counter he didn't say a word to us -- not thank you, not kiss my ass, NOTHING...NOT ONE WORD! In fact, he didn't even look at us and we just dropped $60 for dinner! Don't worry Wing Lee...you don't have to worry about us coming back to your restaurant ever again! Update 4/18/14: Based on the other reviews stating how friendly Wing Lee is I would have to conclude that he is prejudice against African Americans or interracial couples. I am African American and my husband is Causasian. This is my favorite Chinese restaurant ever. I've found it practically impossible to not order the General Tso's chicken. The chicken is so tender and fresh, very lightly fried, with a very sweet and slightly spicy orange sauce. A few perfectly steamed broccoli and some rice and you are good to go. My husband and I stayed in Horsham as a last-minute decision so we took to Yelp to find dinner. I ordered before I read the negative reviews entirely so we decided to go inside together. Either the owner is reading his reviews or he's just had bad nights because he was extremely nice to us. We're an interracial couple (my husband Caucasian, myself Haitian-American). I was surprised to see how modern and semi-formal the dining room was. I mean, I just came to grab some Chinese food! He was also really personable with his guests. He must be a popular guy. I ordered takeout-- crab rangoon, general tso, and vegetable fried rice (my usual Chinese cuisine order). The crab in the crab rangoon was authentic. The crab rangoon was also not overstuffed, making it a perfect wonton-filling balance. The chicken was tender and the sauce was thick and flavorful. The rice threw me off a little because I never really come across vegetable fried white rice. Vegetable fried rice is usually cooked in brown or yellow rice. It was still good, though. My girl friend and I have been here a few times now. We've ordered General Tso's, Orange Beef, Orange Chicken, Dragon Roll, and the Kappa Roll. The food is really amazing. They serve the meals with complimentary black tea and some crunchy snacks with dipping sauces if you eat in. The sauces are very thick and well fleshed out. I mean, it's Pennsylvania, so you get what you get. I think you would be hard pressed to find better Chinese food in the area. The chicken they use is also REALLY good. This isn't the normal bottom dollar chicken you get at most Chinese restaurants. The sauces the snacks come with are a Wasabi Mustard and a Sweet and Sour sauce. The Wasabi at this place is insane. I'm perfectly fine with Wasabi, but this stuff gave me a run for my money. It's EXTREMELY fresh. The rolls are well done. I don't even like sushi most places, but I did enjoy it here. You might say the rolls are smaller than some other places, but they are also cheaper, and much better done if you ask me. They do have an actual sushi bar you can eat at as well, where they will make it in front of you. The atmosphere can't be beat. The old man host is hilarious. His random banter with his servers and customers is endearing. He has that grand father vibe about him. The restaurant is clean and very well taken care of. The servers are attentive and very friendly. I don't know if it matters to most people, but they use real cloth napkins here, which I quite liked.
