Perhaps in Hong Kong or Toronto, I would give this spot a 2 but starving for decent Cantonese, this wasn't bad. But be warned--don't bother ordering anything outside of the traditional canton wok lexicon. Don't go for Thai or anything else. Price is outrageous for whatever they're offering--the 10 dollar fried rice is very small (see photo). And large 15 chicken dish should be more like 6-8 dollars. Not sure how they're making money with pricing like this and portions this small but the flavor was good for a non-Asian area. Definitely not food court quality. Better than that. Without an Uber eats deal, I would never order from here again. Suggest they bring their prices back down to reality.

Not in the mood of cooking and craving affordable, VERY! affordable Chinese food? Wing Wah Express got you! This is probably my 4th time ordering takeout from this local place and I will keep coming for more! It is located hidden in a plaza on Congress Ave where Publix & a pizza place is. When you walk in it doesn't seem inviting, due to Covid they are not having sitting down tables and also picture menus in the wall look a little outdated. Guys that has nothing to do with the great flavor they provide and more important the staff and service always so friendly. I always order the House fried rice that includes chicken, pork, shrimp and beef, enough for like 3-4. My husband gets the sweet and sour chicken & lo mein. the portions are huge and plenty! So be careful when you order They have a full variety of noodles, appetizers and fried rice. It is nothing fancy but it makes a great staying in Friday night dinner.

Can you believe I found this in my food? Almost choked spit it up. Still had respect to tell the restaurant. I asked them for my money back and they told me. No I can only have Credit. Then they tell me oh it is probably something that came from the kitchen. Okay, but meanwhile, I almost choked myself. Thank God my son did not eat any of it and all I want is my money back and you're telling me No just credit this is insane.

    Watered-down wanton soup.

Went to restaurant and ordered dinner combo to take out for lunch. Opened the package to find no egg roll. Opened the meal to find no pork fried rice. Called up to convey what happened and they did not respond. First said they need to get a manager. Then I had to call back and they said that the manager may be in tonight. So they messed up the order completely. What I did get was a soupy entre, bland yellow rice and a watered down wonton soup. I should have read the other Yelp reviews before going in, but we were in the shopping center and thought to give it a try. Not only did they mess up a simple take out order, but the food is not good. There are many other Chinese restaurants in the area. Avoid this one.

We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to look over the menu before ordering. We started with the Steak Tartare, served with beer-battered smoked onion petals, truffle, egg yolk, and manchego. It was excellent and one of the highlights of the meal. We also tried the Za'atar Roasted Local Vegetables with spicy greens, feta tzatziki, lime pickles, and pepitas. It was good, but it wasn't my favorite dish. For our entrées, one person ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese with pork and beef ragu, housemade raw milk ricotta, and Parmigiano-Reggiano. It was rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. We also ordered the Jerk Local Swordfish from Fort Lauderdale with braised Swiss chard, local radish escovitch, and jackfruit miso beurre blanc. While the swordfish itself was cooked well, I wasn't a fan of the jerk seasoning. The flounder, however, was outstanding and probably my favorite entrée. To drink, I had the Les Fumées Blanches Orange Sauvignon Blanc, which I really enjoyed. Someone else had an Old Fashioned. For dessert, we shared the Affogato with mascarpone ice cream, dark chocolate, and espresso, and it was a perfect ending to the meal. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and we appreciated being able to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. It is on the pricey side, but that's fairly typical for a farm-to-table restaurant using quality ingredients. There's a small parking lot behind the restaurant, and we were lucky enough to grab a spot. Overall, it's a fun place for a date night or a nice dinner with family. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. Or if you want, they have a great bar and you can hang out there and have a bite.

We arrived early and then watched a steady stream of regulars come in... many greeting the waitstaff with hugs... always a great sign. Simply and tastefully decorated with a playful nautical theme. Comfortable. Since they're known for lobster, we ordered a couple of their 1.5 lb Steamed Lobsters with Baked Botatoes and Cole Slaw. The lobsters were hard-shell and perfectly steamed. Both of us enjoyed them, though they fell slightly short of the great ones we typically get at our favorite Boston spots... still very good. The sides were excellent. Our guest ordered the Eggplant Parm and said it was excellent. Dinners come with Soup or House Salad. I upgraded to a Caesar (+$3)... basic, but very good, with a dressing I really liked. Also tasted the Fish Chowder, which was very good as well. Bread was good. A wet nap was provided. Drives me crazy when I see this for lobsters, ribs, etc. I feel a proper hot wet towel would be more appropriate. Service from Brittany was excellent. RECOMMENDED

The husband-and-wife owners are clearly hands-on... stopping by tables, checking in with guests, and keeping a watchful eye on everything. It's obvious they care and truly want you to have a great time here. I called for a reservation and it was basically sold out... when they said they could take me at 5pm, I grabbed it. Was actually perfect as I was heading over to see the tennis tournament after dinner. On arrival, the place was empty. As expected, when we left, it was completely full. A half bottle of Sonoma-Cutrer Chardonnay was perfect with my lobster. The wine list isn't extensive, but it's well chosen and fairly priced. The food was excellent across the board. A special of Scallops, Crab Cake, topped with Shrimp over Vegetables was fantastic. My guest enjoyed the Clams Oreganata. I loved my Baked Stuffed Lobster (stuffed with crab), served with amazing Mashed Potatoes... and bonus points for a real hand towel after the lobster. Of course, I had to try the key lime pie... very good. Now I understand why this casual, unassuming spot is so popular... it hits on every note. I noticed a bunch of regulars dining at the bar, which looked perfect to me. The bar is walk-in only... so next time I don't have dinner plans, I'll remember I can just walk in and try for a seat. I know the ownership has changed since I first came here, but I was so happy to hear the cook is still the same! It really brought back memories. We had a fun night overall -- although I may have slightly annoyed the bartender by asking her to take photos of us (they didn't come out too well under the lighting). Before we left, another server kindly helped us take a few away from the lights, and those turned out much better. All in all, I'm really glad I came back to give J and J's another whirl. Before I talk about the food I want to say that the young lady that was the bartender and server was so friendly and gave great suggestions. They bring out fresh hot rolls with a small plate of cheese pesto and balsamic drizzle. Outstanding!!!!! We came to find out the owner who is the chef, his wife is a pastry chef and makes the bread and desserts. To start we had the Spanish chargrilled octopus. I know I have said this before about other restaurants, but I can truly say hands-down. This was the freshest, most tender, and one of the most flavorful grilled octopus that we have had. It came with a mixture of capers, potatoes, and vegetables in an amazing sauce. Truly fantastic. For dinner, my wife had the blackened yellowtail snapper in curry sauce, and I had the shellfish pan roast. Both were one of a kind dishes. We have never had such great flavor and seafood. Not to mention the amount of food that they put out and the presentation is worthy of awards. My wife's blacked snapper was cooked perfectly had a light blackened coating, and the curry sauce was tremendous. My shellfish were super fresh. Again cooked to perfection, tender, and flavorful. The sauce they were in was amazing. For dessert, we tried their homemade Keylime pie, and this too was top-notch and made fresh. We are planning our next trip to this restaurant and if you actually want a true fine, dining seafood experience you have to try this spot. I'm going to say it is priced accordingly for the true quality of food, the amount you are served and the presentation. If you are looking for a fried shrimp basket or fish and chips, this is not the type of restaurant for you. This is upscale seafood, and a true upscale seafood experience. You might want to consider making reservations as they do get busy and as I mentioned earlier, it is a small restaurant.
