First timer here! Stopped in for some lunch. Got the chili cheeseburger and onion rings. The lunch combo was very reasonable despite current economic times. Service was polite and quick. Didn't wait more than about 8 minutes from the time my order was taken. When I got home my onion rings were still plenty warm as was the burger....yall that burger was SO GOOD! Pleasantly surprised after the mixed reviews. Stopped for lunch while my son was at the DMV. The wings were very nice, I had ten garlic Parmesan wings. Ton of sauce (arguably too much but would too much than too little), very nice sized wings. Often ten is not enough, here they definitely were. Also tried the onion rings, they were perfect. I live not far from this restaurant, but never get anything from there as I don't eat wings. So, my son & his family came by Easter Sunday & we decided to pick up subs at Jersey Mike's & eat on the back porch. Then, we learned Jersey Mike's was closed. So four of us sat around looking for a restaurant that was open that had food we wanted. My DIL decided on wings. I looked at the menu & the chicken salad looked good. Well, I was very surprised when they brought home the food. The salad was large & fresh. It was two meals worth for me. It is basically a garden salad with cut up crispy chicken tenders on top. The wings and fries were very good. Cheese sticks not so great. However, I will not visit this establishment again. I was approached by a very pushy and rude homeless man outside and he followed me in. Now I lived in Memphis for 10 years...fed the homeless every sunday on beale st and gave them money for medicine and dr visits. But once this man followed me inside he became very belligerent because I wasn't doing what he wanted at that second. I approached the lady and told her to get him out of there or I would like a refund since I hadn't been served yet. She came to say something to him, looking scared to death, and he didn't even leave. He sat down and continued to threaten me and cuss. So I got up again and told her to call the law which she finally did. It is sad when a company is more concerned with making money than the safety of their customers. read more

My dad and I have been coming here for 5-6 years now. He goes once a week without me. I absolutely love this place. I personally love the wings but their burgers and chicken tenders are also delicious. I get the "hot" sauce on half my wings and then the "spicy bbq" on the other half. Drove here to get something to eat and they said dining room closed for maintenance and to go only. The same three people that are always working were there and no maintenance being done in dining room. The same couple tables that are always open were in dining room. I placed a $50 order for my family of 5 and left a generous tip. came home and found a giant ball of hair in my kids food. we also didn't get a side salad so I went immediately back to the Restaurant. the woman at the front apologized and admitted right away it must have come form her clothing. she offered a refund for one of the orders and I said no I wanted a full and complete refund, it's a huge ball of hair and we tossed all the food. she said she would give me nothing without me bringing all the food back. so I left with no refund and no dinner. Wingman, last bastion of wing revelry in Chapel Hill, truly the only place to satisfy the ever longing itch of a flat or a drum. No sauce is bad, be it wet or dry gravy, it will meet the palate with pure pleasure. Really can't hype this place enough, do yourself a favor and check this place out, these dummies reviewing saying it's dirty are a bunch of snobs and probably enjoy leaving bad reviews so they can pretend they are real food critics. But service is atrocious (waited 28-mins for a 20 piece wing despite only one customer ahead of me) and the food that was delivered was so overfried that the wings tasted as if they's been under a lamp forever. This is an incredible restaurant. The burgers are awesome, the wings are some of the best I've ever had. The other reviewer who ordered via TarHeel Takeout...it's a moot point because TarHeel Takeout doesn't serve Wingman. Every time I've gone, there's been a very generous amount of sauce, and it's delicious. I typically get either the Spicy BBQ or the Honey BBQ -- can't go wrong with those! Oh, and it's really quick; I go in all the time to place an order for take-out, and I've never had to wait more than 4-5 minutes. And yes, that's without calling in the order. Plus prices are great compared to other places around here. Their combos are actually significantly cheaper than the equivalent at other wing places. read more

I was in the area and seen the sign and thought I would try this place. BIG MISTAKE!! I gave my order(5 wings/3 chicken tenders/fries and drink) and went to sit down. Every table was available but two and each available table hadn't been wiped down. I cleaned my table then waited 26 minutes for my order. While sitting there I noticed how nasty this place was,.the windows were filthy and floors looked like they hadn't mopped in days..Then to top it off when I got my food the wings were rubbery. The chicken tenders were good but I will never go there again. This is the first time I've ever gave a review on Yelp so that is saying alot for me to take time out of my day to write this! Love this hamburger place! Haven't tried the wings or hotdogs, but the hamburgers are home style with hand patted patties, and thickly cut tomatoes and red onions. French fries have always been hot...every single time! It can be busy at lunchtime with workers in the area..maybe call order in ahead of time? And it's not the cleanest restaurant...but has cute outdoor patio area. Staff is very friendly to all customers and do a great job of remembering names!! Small place located in Carrboro. I'll stop by if im in a rush or need something quick to eat . The wings aren't my favorite, they lack in flavor . When i eat chicken wings i expect the flavor to be all the way through and not just on the skin ...
