So the husband and I were craving some wings, but also wanted delivery and Grubhub and Wingo's to the rescue! We had three different kinds of wings, Honey BBQ (bone in), Abusive and Mild (boneless) and all were really very good. The Honey BBQ had almost no spice but a nice sweetness to it that was not too sweet. Abusive was the kind of hot that builds - so the first one or two were easy, then all of a sudden it hits you. The mild were perfectly flavored as well - just a hint of spice. We also ordered some corn on the cob, a little buttery for me, but I also don't really care for butter, tender and fresh. On a impulse, we also got some jalapeno poppers which I had not in years and they were fantastic - in fact I am craving them right now! So I cannot comment on the storefront or the seating, but can say that each item in the order was labeled well and they included all the dips/sauces requested along with napkins and forks. I don't know why it's taken me over a year to order from this place! I work night shift and this place has late hours so my coworkers order from here ALL THE TIME. A year and a half later, I finally order from this place with my coworkers. I ordered the wing combo with fries. So many sauces to choose from! I yelped it and decided on the hot garlic parm and old bay wings. The hot garlic parm is a little greasy, but delicious none the less. The wings in this sauce were super moist compared to the old bay wings. Those were a little bit too dry, but I dipped it in the residual parm sauce which made it all the better. My only gripe is that the wings are definitely on the smaller side. I also ordered the regular fries with old bay. Can we say genius?? Super delicious, even my coworkers were nibbling off of my container. My coworkers love their fries and fried mac and cheese, along with their bacon jalapeno poppers. Extreme props to Wingos! They couldn't reach me by phone (wrong number), so they emailed me to let me know my driver was there. That's quality service and when I actually got them on the phone they (a man and a woman) were very friendly and helpful. My order also arrived on time and to the minute of my delivery window. On to the food: SO AMAZING. The wings are huge, they don't charge extra for all flats and the cheese fries are delicious. Tip: the seasoned fries taste more like Arby's seasoned fries than Checker's seasoned fries. Also I got the HOT flavor for the wings which is like their fifth hottest flavor that has no additional flavor (like mambo) in it. Next time I'm going for Abusive. Amazing service. You can tell that Mike, the owner, really cares about his business and customers. He patiently answered our questions about their flavors and suggested sauces that fit what we were looking for. We showed him the 10% off yelp check-in deal, and he matched it!! So we ended up getting 20% off! My boyfriend, who loves spicy food, ordered "Suicidal", which is the store's spiciest sauce, after Mike suggested it to him. Mike promised my bf that if the suicidal wings were too spicy, he would give us 5 free wings with another sauce. And Mike kept his promise! When he saw my poor bf suffering, he came over a little later with fresh "Mombo" wings!! Mombo was definitely less spicier and flavorful. I ordered lemon pepper, and I could see how it is one of the more popular sauces. Mike explained that they use fresh lemon juice, and I definitely was able to taste it. If you're hesitant about ordering the spicier sauces, I highly suggest ordering lemon pepper! Mike also gave us a complementary side of Cajun fries, which were bomb. Yesterday my friend and I stopped by for a quick bite to eat. It was almost 11 and they were one of the few places that were still open on a Wednesday night. They have TONS of wing options, wet and dry. I went with the old bay wings. While we were waiting, we were dancing along to the music they we playing. We looked very goofy and I wouldn't be surprised if they thought we were drunk, even though we didn't consume any alcohol. Some of the staff were bringing boxes to the store as we were dancing and they seemed to enjoy our craziness and one guy even joined in. We got our food and ate at one of the small tables they have out front. I loved the old bay wings. They were delicious. Cooked perfectly, they used good chicken, and the seasoning was good, although a little heavy. When we were leaving, a man who worked there, I'm assuming he was like a managerial person, gave my friend and me a free order of fries because they liked our dancing so much. That was a nice touch. There're only a handful of things that drunk me likes as much as a good batch of wings. Rounding out the rest of the top five: affirming compliments, ice cold cucumber water, x-files reruns, and crispy fries. Gotta give it to Wingo's for solidly offering up at least two. After touching down at Reagan a little later than expected, grabbing dinner was pretty damn high on my list of DC Metro priorities. But sometimes catching up with good friends makes it a bit too easy to lose track of time... and sometimes you get really caught up in watching House Hunters International. Either way, with dinner plans wrecked and Wingo's down the street, grabbing wings was a no-brainer. We opted for two kinds of wings: mango habanero and Old Bay. The mango habanero was easily my favorite of the two. I would've loved a few more kicks of heat, but the mild spice married well with the sweet. I felt morally obligated to try the Old Bay wings, being so close Maryland, but I was admittedly a little overwhelmed with the amount of seasoning used. I've come across some pretty generously dusted dry-rubs, but they have never compared to this. Almost too salty, I was a little let-down, but I'm POSITIVE that drunk me wouldn't mind them at all. Hell, if 'two-beers in' me was fine with it, drunk me would rave. We also grabbed a batch of seasoned fries that did not disappoint. Wingo's is a godsend to the inebriated palate. These are solid sober wings, and they can only get better after every shot of bottom-shelf liquor. This is the kind of food that even the classiest of Georgetown's residents can admit to craving. I can almost guarantee that John Kerry (he literally lives right down the street) has tried his hand at the fried fare here (don't quote me on that). Totally greasy fare that always fits the bill. You can order pretty much anything from Wingo's, as long as it's not healthy. Burgers, wings, funnel cakes, chicken fingers-- it's all here. (There were stickers on each container saying wingos.com would get your food their faster). Anyway, I had never tried Wingo's before - but figured I'd give them a shot. I ordered a cheesesteak, a caesar salad and mozzarella sticks. This totaled over $15 so I was eligible for a free order of 10 wings (I got honey bbq). Now...I think it's important to note that I didn't actually eat ALL of this food in one night...I over-ordered so I'd have something to eat the next day as well. Delivery was pretty quick and the guy was really nice. I thoroughly enjoyed my cheesesteak but the mozzarella sticks were so-so. I saved the wings and caesar salad for lunch the next day. Probably the best wings I've ever had. Delivery was extremely fast (from phone to door in about 30 minutes) and food was incredible. I got the 8 wing special (asked for boneless), which comes with their yummy fries and a can of pop (yes I said pop, I'm from the Midwest, leave me alone). The wings were, well, yes, greasy, but incredibly juicy and full of flavor. My only problem with Wingo's was that I ate too much and ended up being pretty sick afterwards. Hopefully that wasn't because of the food but rather because of my poor choice of trying to eat all of it in one sitting. The veggie patty was a bit soft, but the patty with the veggies (lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumbers, red peppers, and sprouts) dressed with a light sundried tomato dressing in between rosemary foccacia bread made the sandwich very tasty (although not very figure friendly - the burger was huge!). Definitely as good as it gets. My friend and I had a craving for some wings after hiking 5 miles in Shenandoah and we weren't gonna settle for anything less than four stars on Yelp. At first we were a little disappointed that there was no liquor/ABC license (wanted nothing more than a beer with our wings after the long trek) but that was poor planning on our part, for not checking beforehand. We took the L because the rating for Wingo's was too good to pass up. Do note that this place is a total hole in the wall by definition. No inside seating, four patio tables on the sidewalk, but I hear they do deliver out to Ballston (Arlington heads don't sleep on this). During my entire visit at Wingo's, I could say with 100% confidence that there were over 20 to-go orders getting sent out in a steady stream. A very good sign. We started with two Wing Specials (8 wings, seasoned or plain fries, dipping sauce and a drink) to share between the two of us. One order of wings was half hot honey, half BBQ hot, I believe. Both of those sauces were delicious. The second wing special was parmesean garlic but did not taste like parm nor garlic. I was disappointed. I was not bothered by the fact that it was swathed in butter. I understand that to make parmesean garlic wings, you gotta drown those babies in butter. But I got no flavor from the sauce. My friend took the wings back and we ordered the Bourbon instead. Bourbon sauce tasted better than the prior (actual Bourbon flavor and a little too sweet) but my favorites were still the hot honey and BBQ hot. The size and taste of these wings rival those of other franchises, by the way. Our reorder actually came out with another order of fries, so we ended up with three orders total. Man it took so long to find a good wing spot in DC. Yea there is Buffalo Wild WIngs and Wings Over Washington but nothing beats a good ole fashion traditonal wing shop that isnt a franchise. She obviously pointed me in the right direction because twenty minutes later I was there. The spot is located in the heart of georgetown right off of o street. I was half expecting an restaurant but its a carry out. Very small shop with no seats. Its kind of hard to order since their menu is so vast and they only have a few things listed on the chalk board above the cashier. But regardless I decided to go with a 10 piece wing order and cheese fries. There were a couple people in front of me but I got my food within 10 minutes. The guys were realy nice and help get my order out quickly. I was super excited about having good wings so when i bit in to them I knew i had finally found a good wing spot. I order medium wings and they were the perfect range of flavour not to hot to mild. The cheese fries werent what i expected. I thought it was going to be actual melted cheese but it was just cheese sauce. Being a college student in DC, Wingo's is one of the numbers you either have memorized, in your phone book, or even on speed dial. They are located in Georgetown but if you go in person, it's just a counter and you'll have to wait outside on a bench for your food. I've tried both their mozzarella sticks and what they're known for, their wings. Their wings are good but definitely not the best. I always get half bbq and half hot buffalo for about $12 including tip for delivery (10% off when you order via EAT24/Yelp). $12 for delivery of 10 wings is a hella good deal. The Bbq isn't sweet, really tangy, so I really like to drown my wings in their ranch and then the weird BBQ/Ranch fusion works. All their employees are super sweet, including the drivers. Whenever I order, I'm told my food will take 45 minutes but my wings are here in 30 minutes, still hot! The food comes extremely well packaged, both for delivery and pick up, and they are generous with their dipping sauces and will give you at least 2 with every order and a ton of napkins. If you're hungry and craving wings, up late studying, or just need to give into your munchies, Wingo's is a must. read more

Never actually been to the establishment, but on NFL Sundays, this is my go-to delivery joint for wings. The ordering system online is great, and you can specify drums/flats only, or a mixture. This is a GREAT option for me, cause I love flats. You can also designate crispiness, and how much sauce. The HOT BBQ and Buffalo Hot are my faves. If ordering delivery, ask for them crispy, with sauce on the side, as the travel time doused in sauce will produce a mushy wing when they arrive. Tried the chicken Philly once, and it SUCKED. I had a coupon and might not have used it correctly - I wrote in the "notes" section of my online order about the coupon and when I submitted my order someone from the restaurant (perhaps his name was Matt?) called me up and said they took care of everything for me. The online ordering system is the most meticulous I have ever seen - asking you how you want a burger cooked, what toppings, how much sauce you want on your wings, which of the ~50 permutations of wing sauce you want, if you want your fries with less or extra salt, any toppings on the fries, etc etc etc etc - wow. And the food came just as ordered, and was great. I am not usually a fan of fries but these were seasoned well and had a nice texture, and the wings were also great. If you like funnel cakes call this place. I have eaten funnel cakes at most every carnival and state fair I have been to. This place has great funnel cakes. You can even get it with strawberries. I personally like the honey funnel cake. I also order a cheese steak and fries plus a drink. It wasn't expensive. The Cheese steak is just another cheese steak. The fries were pretty good. I don't get what the other people were talking about the fries. Lets get back to the funnel cakes. I can honestly say that I have never had a funnel cake at a restaurant. I have never been to Wingos but I have received delivery from there a few times. I absolutely love chicken wings, so I am so glad that there is a place that specializes and delivers them. Actually, the first time I ever received Wingos was as a surprise from my boyfriend. He knew I would be working on a memo all night so he, from NY, ordered 2 dozen wings and "Puff Daddy's Sweet Fried Dough." It was the best surprise ever-- way better than flowers (hint to boyfriends out there). The food: They have a lot of different cheap food options and kinds of wings. I've personally had the Parmesan/Garlic, BBQ, and Teriyaki and liked them all. My only tiny complaint is that my last order of wings seemed a little soggy-- not as saucy and crispy as the other times I've received them. Ordering: Is incredibly easy online (campus food or on their website). Once I made a mistake on the address, called them to correct, and there was no problem at all. The delivery is usually on schedule and this has been a great option when my roommate and I watch college football at home. Honestly the place is okay for what it does. I would not call these wings cheap though as they cost about a dollar per wing and they're not particularly big. For a lot of wing places, ordering boneless is a great way of seeing how honest the management is. If you order boneless of something comparable to 10 wings the amount of meat you get should be around the same. If it's anything less, it says volumes about the restaurant. I knew that Five Guys was just down the street, but I thought I'd try this place just for the sake of trying something new. The burger and fries were a lot less greasy than what you'd get at Five Guys which I consider a big plus. The wait time for the burger and fries was about the same. I enjoyed eating outside on this nice day, but there might be times where you'd want to eat indoors. Overall though, for something that is not their specialty it was excellent. Think Buffalo Wild Wings, but much fresher, with friendlier staff. These guys are apparently a staple in the DC area, and you'll see lots of people coming by at all hours of the night to satisfy their cravings. I picked up food from this place twice in one week back to my hotel. Was very impressed with the portions, the flavor and the variety of spices you can get. For what it is- this place is easily 5 stars. It's like a state fair all wrapped up into a tiny little hole in the wall joint in Georgetown. They really do have every imaginable snacky type food that you could ever crave- but what is really out of this world are the wings! Discovering this place makes football season 10 times more enjoyable!! You can order in for delivery, or stop in late night for just about anything you might desire. Pints of delicious ice cream in all sorts of amazing flavors, milkshakes, deep fried cheesecake, grilled cheese, funnel cake (!), home made soups, chicken pot pie, french fries, Philly cheese steak....the list goes on endlessly. This was a good and bad thing for a person trying to eat healthier. My order also came with a menu attached!! Perfect!! Not only that, I noticed new hours of operation!! Now because this is my cheat meal, I'm not sure if the food was just that much better or if it has always been this tasty to me. Never the less, I've orderd quite a few times from Wingo's and they NEVER disappoint. My normal order always consist of the hot lemon pepper wings extra crispy. Today I tried the Mumbo sauce with my wings and fries and OOO MYYY, I am now a true believer of the DC crazed mumbo sauce!!! Best mumbo sauce i've had in the District. A definite 5 stars for Wingo's. Dear Wingo's, I want to start off by saying I do love your wings... and it's my love for the wings that makes this review especially difficult. You have failed me. Not once. Not twice. But three times. It has been a tradition that we order 100 wings every super bowl to share amongst my friends and myself. 2016 you arrived late... we forgave you. 2017 you pretty much poisoned us and we shat all night... but we still forgave you. 2018, the year I am writing this review, you only gave us 50 of the 100 wings we ordered.
