After there was a long wait for Buffalo Wild Wings takeout/delivery, and a craving for wings, we decided to try out the Buffalo Wings and Rings in Oakley Station. We ordered through DoorDash and chose the pickup option. There were a line of cars and we did wait a bit for our food but for the most part it was a relatively organized process. Wanting a little bit of everything we got their appetizer sampler, onion rings, and an order of Honey BBQ wings. Everything was still so hot when we got home and tasted delicious. The portions were HUGE - we even had leftovers for the next day! The restaurant thought of everything from the marinara sauce for mozzarella sticks, the delicious melted cheese for the soft pretzel bites, and the creamy ranch for our wings. This was my first time at Buffalo Wings and Rings in a long time, and my first time to the new Oakley location. There are plenty of TVs if you're trying to watch a game, or the Olympics right now. The bar looked pretty stacked also with a lot of options, but if you're thirsty for soda the only have 4 options. When I asked the server what soda they had she said "we only have 4..." and walked off. My friend and I ordered the Opened Face Cheesesticks which were delicious. It was basically cheese bruschetta with avocado. I mean who doesn't love fried cheese. I love wings but was thoroughly confused when my friend and I ordered Parmesan Garlic and BBQ wings and the server asked us if we wanted mild, medium, or hot. I like spicy food so I didn't mind the additional heat, but my friend preferred no heat and there was not an option for that. I'm partial to getting my wings somewhere else in the area but overall the service was okay and so was the food. Definitely worth a try if you like dry rub and sauced wings. read more

I was in on Christmas Eve and sat at the bar. Had a good experience despite rude customers sitting next to me. There was an older guy who was being nasty and talking poorly about the bar staff. Being in the service industry myself I noticed that the bartender (Marci) was not only taking care of the bar, but making drinks for servers and taking tables in the dining room. DLW and I were searching for a spot for a Wednesday evening out. Our first thought turned out to be closed for a private event, but in the distance we saw the lights on at the new Buffalo Wings and Rings at Oakley Center neat the Centimark movie theater. We decided to check it out. The building is oriented somewhat awkwardly, facing away from the theater and the parking lots that surround it. You have to round a corner to get to the entrance no matter where you park. Once inside it's a large, clean space, as you would expect from new construction and a chain restaurant (there are six or so locations in Cincy now). I have only been to one other location for this place, and it was shoehorned into a basement level spot, so this is a big improvement on that. The greeters told us that this was opening day, and it was a soft open evidently since we hadn't seen any publicity, and the 200 or so seats were nowhere close to filled. With the theater literally in their back yard, this place should do booming business once word gets out. Clearly Buffalo Wild Wings was the inspiration for this place, with rock music playing in the background and TVs playing sportsball scattered everywhere. It is more restaurant than bar, however, so the atmosphere is more friendly to non-fans than BWW. Booths dominate the seating rather than high tops. Lighting is bright. Bathrooms are spacious. Since it was opening day, not everything was quite finalized. Beer and wine lists were not included in the drink menus, but our server had a cheat sheet she allowed us to see. They have a full bar with signature cocktails, and a pretty good selection of beers on tap, though not the 40 or so that B-Dubs has. Still it should be plenty for most, and remember that this is not really a bar. We chose buffalo chicken nachos and an order of wings. The emphasis here is heavily on chicken, I understand, but having a beef option for the nachos would be nice. Nachos were a pretty good serving size for two, and the buffalo sauce had the requisite tang and spice level. A small wings order is five, and whichever sauce you get can be tailored for heat level, something B-Dubs doesn't do. Theirs are nice and meaty, but some will balk at paying $7 for them. Overall a pretty good experience, and they seem poised to do well in this location. We prefer the atmosphere here to B-Dubs, so when the hankering for wings strikes us, we would probably prefer coming here. read more

Don't get me wrong, the food was good. The main problem was when it took two and a half hours for the whole table to get their food. My party was a group of 8, so I understand that can be stressful for the kitchen and service, but less than half of the table received their order after about 45 minutes of sitting down. The ticket was messed up and the waitress apologized and double-checked everything that was missing. The issue was that after she tried to fix the problem, she came out with some of the correct remaining food, but still 3 people didn't receive their food. The manager eventually came over and offered a free appetizer and some free drinks for the table which was kind. Then the waitress offered to cover all the meals that still hadn't come out which was also a kind gesture. The waitress eventually comes back and takes out her phone to write down everything that is missing. The next crazy part is that the food comes out again and guess what... IT'S STILL WRONG. We asked if we could at least have some more water since they had been avoiding our table for a solid 30 minutes and only ever came back with water for half the table. We eventually got all of our food after 4 attempted deliveries to the table. The waitress and manager continued to avoid our table even though we all were very understanding throughout the process with the hope of free meals for all the meals that didn't come out after the fourth time. You wouldn't believe this though, they only gave a 10% discount to those whose food came out after the two-and-a-half hour span and everyone else was charged full price for everything even though we all were stuck there for the full 2.5-hour ordeal. So to recap: 4 attempted food deliveries, only a 10% discount for a few of those at the table, 2.5 hours, and only half of us got water refills throughout this whole duration. A true test of patience and I definitely failed. read more

First of all, I came in a wheelchair. The girl asked if I wanted a booth or table. I chuckled and said table and looked at my wheelchair. THEN she asked high or low table. Seriously??? Not the brightest there. I know hostesses don't do much but come on! I order my wings extra well done. They are gone fifteen minutes and come back nowhere near extra well. Sent them back. Took another 25 minutes and some of them were okay. Most were not. I didn't finish eating them. There were only five other tables in there with no more than 2 people each when we left. It's unfortunate that the level of service at this location is so poor because our family has enjoyed visiting in the past. My family has visited this location multiple times and I'll give you the run down on the good, the bad, and the reason we won't be back. First, the good, the wings here most of the time are better than what you'd get at BW3s. The potato wedges are better too. Also, I'm a fan of the cauliflower wings (when they do them well which can be hit and miss). Overall, the food quality on most visits is far superior to the BW3s and not bad overall for a chain. Also, our kids enjoy playing on the tablets. Next, the bad. We've experienced a few hiccups in service during the visits we've made here. Our kids have enjoyed the place but there have been instances of very slow service, forgetfulness, and an event that was announced on facebook for kids only to have us show up and have no event going on. Overall, it hasn't been quite enough to get us to not come back since we've enjoyed the food most of the time and the kids like it well enough. For families that will usually keep you coming back. Now, for why we won't be coming back. The last week has been a tough parenting week with sick kids and a full house during spring break. Yesterday my wife was very tired after a long day, as was I, and so we decided to make the kids dinner and then treat ourselves. She chose wings from Buffalo Wings and Rings in Oakley. I called in our order and right away I was concerned given that the person taking my order seemed very confused about what we were ordering. We ordered 10 boneless wings, cauliflower wings, and 2 sides. I showed up to grab our food and went home. My wife immediately realized that the wrong sauce was on her wings. She tried to eat them anyway since we were tired but she didn't like the sauce that was put on her wings. Then, my cauliflower wings were a little rough so I grabbed the extra sauce I ordered when further disaster struck. The sauce container wasn't sealed well and as I grabbed it from the bag the lid came off dumping sauce on me and our couch (which is now stained). At this point, I was upset. We bought dinner to not have a mess, to relax, we spent money so that we could have a relaxing night. And now my wife has no dinner, my pants have to be washed immediately, and we have to work to get a stain out of our couch. So I call the store and ask for a manager. I tell our story. What I was offered in response was an insult. The manager I spoke to responded with an attitude of "tough luck" when it came to the loose lid sauce container disaster. And in regards to our overall dilemma offered credit. I didn't understand what she meant at first when she said credit so she clarified that she would give us 10 "free" boneless wings next time we visit. Now, here's the problem, those wings aren't free, I paid for them and never received them, how is that a credit? When I pushed back on the offer I met hostility. It was never outrageous hostility in terms of any harsh words or actions, but it was kind of worse than that. It was apathy. This manager at the end of the day had zero desire to make things right. All she would offer was a food credit, to replace our whole order in the future, but get this, in order to get my wife's wings for that night I WOULD HAVE HAD TO BUY THEM AGAIN. Then next time we can roll the dice to get our food order again. The only other option offered to me was to get my wife's 10 wings that night and get some lame food credit for the rest of the order for the future. Overall, while I was very angry I didn't feel like arguing. It's a $30 order and I had already lost an hour of my time driving back and forth, needed to get my pants in the laundry, and we had already had to take time to try to clean our couch. I just didn't have the energy to argue. I told this manager many times why we were upset and I asked that she would do something to make it right, to take an opportunity to flip the script, but she refused to take the opportunity. She was more than fine with me leaving upset, unhappy, and with no desire to come back. At the end of the day, she didn't care to lose my business so I doubt very much she cares about yours either. So I'd say that if you want to visit this place, just be ready for apathetic service and sometimes good food. And if something goes wrong while you're there or with your takeout, good luck, you're going to need it. read more

I expected a half-as* put together, over stuffed, extra cheesy, hard to manage quesadilla. But it was the opposite! Whole What tortilla, the perfect amount of chicken and veggies, cut into a manageable 6 slices rather than 4, and drizzled with a chipotle sauce! So good! So surprised! Would order again. My boyfriend got the grilled boneless wings. You are able to split / get 2 sauces with an order. They were served in their spin bowls... I assume that's so you can choose the amount of sauce you want on them. The boneless wings are surprisingly a very good size- larger than a small nugget. He said they were good but he would have rather gotten the traditional wings. LASTLY- just the 2 of us, 1 app, 2 meals, 2 beers each- $75- surprise! The beers are XL size though. Alcohol is always the culprit of a surprisingly high bill. We will probably come back- but not go out of our way to do so. No complaints! read more

I ordered a mixed drink listed in their menu and she had no clue what I was talking about. I waited 20 minutes before she came back to tell me they were "all out" of my drink. For the second week in a row, my pickup food order was terrible. Last week I ordered a Santa Fe sandwich, which used to be very good. This time, it was a sandwich of sliced dried out beef ends, a micro thin layer of sauce, and several green specks of something. I understand that restaurants are understaffed and they were, but it should have been communicated that they were and wait/service times would be longer than normal. I called ahead and was told my order would be ready in 30 minutes (on a game day Sunday at 1:30pm nonetheless), I got there right on time and my food was fresh out of the oven. We ordered 20 wings for about $20 and were able to divide the order into 4 flavors, so everyone in the fam could choose something we enjoyed without breaking the bank. What sets Wings & Rings apart for me is that you can choose your heat level for any flavor. My favorite flavor is Garlic Parmesan, although their iconic Bourbon BBQ is very tasty as well. Also noteworthy: their specials on weekdays make wings and tenders ridiculously cheap. When I'm doing Paleo, it's always a treat to get grilled tenders with a dry rub (try lemon pepper.) read more

We've been watching this build over the past few months and had been anxious to give it a try. It was not super crowded when we first got there but did soon fill up quickly. When we asked for the draft list, there wasn't one created yet (I understand they did just open) but our waitress also couldn't fully list them all off. This started our meal off just a bit frustrating. We had the pretzel bites, a quesadilla and wings. They are clearly known for their wings because that was the best thing at dinner, but nothing extraordinary. The quesadilla was nothing special, I just wan not in the mood for wings the night we went in, noted for next time! Overall, the idea and concept seems very similar to a Buffalo Wild Wings. Similar meals and drinks. Seems like a great spot to stop before a movie or even just to have a happy hour if you work nearby.
