    Soggy broccoli.

Seriously? Just close this one down. If ownership cares so little, just give up. No hostess. Tables dirty. Bar dirty. Only two of us, one drink order. Couldn't get it right. Ordered 15 grilled boneless wings with four sauces on the side. Received 15 fried wings with sauce on them. Broccoli was soggy and not appetizing at all. I've eaten here many times over the last 4-5 years. But they've clearly lost their way. Ownership is asleep at the switch in this one. Can't blame the staff for not being trained. Totally ownerships fault, 100%. Still the best blue cheese and wing sauces in town. Did I mention that ownership needs to get involved?

To a certain degree, 2 stars is generous. I've been getting take out regularly given the convenience it offers and now I just come to accept that there is a 75% chance that they are going to make errors. Examples of such include: missing items, getting the wrong items, and items (like sauce) not being appropriately secured and spilling over the whole takeout order. Three in a row is a pretty big deal. Before making the choice to write about it, I of course gave the place a shot to fix it. Fixes were pretty low magnitude in overall, including refunds for missing items and barely an apology. I was told by management that I should remind staff when I call that several errors have been made and that they should not make errors. Surely this would've caught anyone by surprise. The food that I have received was good. Cooked fine and wings are sauced generously. Probably would be more of a 3 to 4 star experience if the staff were more on top of it.

I've been getting takeout and delivery pretty regularly from this location for the past year and a half. I've come to accept that I'll probably end up with something missing so I switched to exclusively pick up so I can double check. They changed from giving sauced wings to wings with cups of sauce to, I assume, cut down on the potential mess, but more than once they've forgotten the sauce altogether. Tonight I ordered pickup and part of it was 5 boneless wings. They're more like chicken crumbles? They're hard and dry and only one is a respectable size. If a piece is smaller than the tip of my finger, can it really be considered a wing? I think I need to give up trying with this location unless I'm dining in.

Waited and waited to be seated. Then waited and waited for waitress to take our order. Finally just left. Won't be back.

Once we were all in our places with bright shiny faces, we all ordered the thanksgiving special meal. It included just about everything you can imagine being served at Thanksgiving. Three pieces of white meat turkey, which was pretty tender. I small pile of dark meat pieces. Mashed potatoes and gravy, with the gravy covering the turkey and the potatoes. There was dressing, sweet potato casserole (?), green beans and cranberry sauce. It was a LOT of tasty food. Nothing was extraordinary, but it was all good. Oh, we ordered and I swear to goodness the food arrived moments later. I am sure they were moving a lot of these plates and had a process for quick turnaround, but I had to wonder if our plates had been sitting for a while. I suppose if they were it wasn't for long. Nothing was cold or congealed. It seems like their process was working. The meal came with a mini cake type thing in a jar. There were lots of options. Mark and I opted for the special pumpkin with ginger and Jen had s'mores chocolate. The pumpkin one was absolutely delicious. Jen let us try the chocolate one and let's just say I was very glad I opted for pumpkin. When the bill arrived the desserts were added on separately. I mentioned they should be included to our server, who said he would check. Now... it seems unlikely we were his first customers of the day and it seems odd that he would have the desserts added separately. He did check; I saw him. I also saw the person he was checking with shake her head 'yes'. He reran the checks without the desserts. I will say it was nice to have a traditional thanksgiving meal without the traditional thanksgiving fuss. Because the food was average at best and because we were initially charged for desserts that were supposed to be included in the price, this experience comes in with a solid three stars.

It essentially gives the same vibes that Panera did in the 2000s lol Pairs well with the bookstore aesthetic :) The Roasted Pear & Goat Cheese Flatbread is naan bread with roasted pears, goat cheese, dried cranberries, walnuts, and arugula drizzled with a balsamic sauce. It's a dish served at room temperature or cold, which means there's not much adhering the toppings to the naan. That's fine, but makes eating a bit of a dance while trying not to spill/drop anything. The flavors work well together. I've seen many salads with this combination and it transitions over to a flatbread okay enough. I would've wished the roasted pear to have a little bit more sweetness...more like a cooked apple with sugars and a syrupy-ness to bind the cranberries, walnuts, and arugula together. As it was, the goat cheese was the most notable flavor and it was somewhat overpowering if you didn't get a well rounded bite. Good for those who like goat cheese, like myself, but less desirable for those more interested in the potential sweetness of pear or tanginess from the balsamic. This was fine but not my favorite way to spend $15. It makes a better shareable than personal dish. This is a cup of vegetarian chili. It has fresh veggies, beans, tomatoes, rice, sour cream, shredded jack, and scallions. This was delicious. I've never had rice in my chili before, so that's was a pleasant surprise. I liked this more than the flatbread, though $8 for a cup of chili seems a little high. I also got a hot chocolate. I didn't get a picture of that, but it was yummy and good enough for $5. Our service was slow, but there were only 2 serves at rush, so I was fine with that. Our waiter seemed very sweet and he's been my server at least once in the past too. Very entertaining and kind, just spread thin.

I got the avocado bliss wrap with a side of sweet potatoes. While I was excited for my order, I'll preface that it was a bit pricey compared to other options in The Gatherall. The wrap itself was good, but came out cold which I wasn't expecting. It still tasted good, but with the tofu, I was expecting a heated wrap. All the flavors on it blended well though, so overall I enjoyed it. The sweet potatoes were great! Roasted just the way I like them. Unfortunately though, I won't be getting them again, as they are $3 for a small portion, which is just too steep to do often on top of a $15 wrap. All in all, I enjoyed my meal and would try other option, but I'd probably skip the fancy side in the future.

Came for dinner the first night towards the end of service and the server straight up told us he hasn't worked in 4 weeks and didn't know the menu. Then proceeded to tell us we have 5 mins to order to disappear and not even take our drink orders. Had to ask the bartender to find our server so we can order. It was also empty and we were put in a dark corner instead of a well lit table. For the price, the flavors were ok. Maybe because it was the end of service but it wasn't anything spectacular. We were rushed out and told if we wanted to stay to hang at the bar which we ended up doing. The next morning we went for brunch. Went maybe 30 mins into service to find no one in the restaurant. Thought we read the sign wrong but we were right. It took over 20 mins to get the server to get our drink orders (just an AJ and coffee) then ordered our breakfast which took another 30 mins to come out for it to be cold. I had the steak and eggs: asked for medium rare, got it blue and cold. Was never asked how I wanted my eggs and those were also cold. Only hot thing on my plate was the potatoes. Friend also ordered waffles that were cold and dry so we knew the food was sitting out for a while before it came to our table. Disappointed with the service when the hotel and concierge were really nice.
