I'd been to BWR before and enjoyed it, so I thought I'd go again to see if the experience could be duplicated. I lined up a 2:30 p.m. late lunch with a friend on a Tuesday afternoon (read: a time when it should be pretty dead; it was) to get a read on just how attentive the staff was and to get what should theoretically be some pretty fresh food. We were welcomed with a sweet smile from a young lady who opened the door for us and welcomed us to sit where we pleased. Right after we found our seats, Samantha (our waitress on this adventure) swooped right in and took our drink orders. Now, here's where I'm going to guide you a bit on how to approach a first time trip to make sure you get the most out of it. The company has an e-mail list called Club '84. If you sign up for it on the main website, you get a coupon good for any appetizer except the 12-13 dollar sampler. Essentially, this saves you 7-8 bucks out of the gate. However, that money gets you a large portion. We went with the garlic aioli fries (because yay garlic and yay fries!). Tackling this plate requires at least two people or one enormous appetite. I almost want to advise you to eat light if you're going to order a starter as by the time your entree gets to the table, your stomach's going to start to swell. No, this isn't to say that there's a long wait, but we'll get to that in a tick. Along with the fries, we put in our order for wings. I highly recommend coming in on Tuesdays because they currently run a special for 89 cent traditional wings. A brief aside: When dealing with foods that are presented to you with a wide array of flavors, there are always old standbys. For example, with a number of products, if you can't do "chocolate" properly, you're doing it wrong. With wings, I find this to be the case with teriyaki and garlic parmesan. Those happen to be my two favorites, so we went with orders of five and ten traditional wings of each flavor, respectively. The neat thing about BWR is that you can really customize your wings. Not only can you dictate the sauce/rub, but you also can choose to ratchet up the heat of said wings in addition AND if you like them swimming in sauce, that can be accommodated for no additional fee. So, here I am about ready to lop my hand off with a hacksaw because I can't stop eating these fries when Samantha promptly brings our wings. They are incredibly fresh and hot, drowning in sticky, savory goodness. Alright, the moment of truth. Garlic Parmesan: There is a definite crunch as the wings suck up quite a bit of the sauce and the cheese is nicely caked on. It's almost like a wet rub and wow, is it tasty. BWR knows how to garlic up their food, so if you're a fan, I have good news. Teriyaki: Lip-smackingly good. Rich, silky smooth and sweet. Just the way you want that flavor to be. It hits you just right as you rip the meat off the bone. I honestly wanted to try one of the desserts, but at this point, the old nausea reflex was kicking in and my stomach was crying uncle, so I had to tap out. These wings aren't perfect as I've been to places in Omaha that provide far meatier ones, BUT (note the large "but") for 89 cents a pop, these are a steal and a half. To be honest, even at regular price (about $1.15), they're still pretty good. Samantha was a treat. She nailed drink refills like a champ, made sure multiple tables were taken care of and did so with both enthusiasm and a smile on her face. So, to summarize, if you get that Club '84 coupon and go on a Tuesday, you could easily feed 4 people for about $5.50 per person. The place stands on its own merit without specials as one that I'd budget for as well. Call me the Terminator, because I'll be back. read more

Upon first pass, Buffalo Wings & Rings resembles a Buffalo Wild Wings knockoff - and it is. Meanwhile, there's major differences. Wings & Rings borrowed the BWW concept and improved it by offering wonderful service, and food that's at least two steps higher than BWW. Everything else mirrors BWW, literally. Fortunately, this location serves up quality, friendly service with meals that keep you coming back, compared to other similar chains, such as Hooters, Buffalo Wild Wings, Twin Peaks, etc. There's more than ample TVs, plenty of booze and a clean atmosphere friendly to partiers, families and groups of hardcore sports fans. There food isn't amazing, but it's great compared to their peers. The wings and boneless wings are tasty, hand breaded and fresh daily and affordable. According to our server, hamburgers come from fresh, hand made patties. You can tell their difference from the frozen stuff you'll find elsewhere. In closing, when looking for a place to watch games, it's going to be tough to beat this option, unless, of course, you'd rather be in the presence of young chicks, wearing far less. That's your call, but if you want better food, you'll come here. read more

I made a large take out order for the Super Bowl, as I do every year. When I arrived, there were about 8 people in line waiting for orders. When I got to the register, I was handed big a thermal take-out bag and was told it was my entire order. I didn't check and left. When I got to my party, half of my order was not in the bag and the boneless wings that were there were only Partially sauced. I called and Spoke with an employee who took my information down so the manager could reach out at another time. i went to the restaurant the next day as I was in the area and spoke with both the GM and Corporate Supervisor, who were both in. I explained the situation and they informed me that they actually had to close the inside of the restaurant that night due to 4 employees not showing up and were so busy with Super Bowl take-out orders. They admitted the mistake, apologized profusely for the mistake, generously compensated me for my order, and even offered to by me lunch that day (I had already eaten so I declined). overall, it's just food. I go there because I enjoy their food. what I received the night of the Super Bowl was not up to their standards, and they recognized it and made it right. That is all you can ask for. I'm very appreciative. I will continue to eat here because of the quality of food and integrity of the management. read more

First of all the food was probably at least a four star. The service today was at least at a minimum one star. We sat there for 15 minutes before waitress even came to the table. She said she would get us water and did not come back for another 15 minutes. The football game had already started so we did not want to leave. When ordering a refill on water she forgot and had to be reminded and then again when ordering a refill on a beer the exact same thing. 15 minutes after we ordered our first round of drinks the bartender was just standing there doing nothing. I really love the wings here, and love the variety of sauces you can get them coated in. My favorite sauces are the Peach Habanero and the Sweet BBQ. Service has usually been fast and friendly, and the restaurant itself has always been clean. They have a secret insanity sauce that's hotter than the atomic sauce that will make you question your life choices if you are brave enough to try it. Manager refused to serve our table alcohol because he couldn't be sure if my iD was "real". Came here once and was surprised by the food! It was so good. So, I decided to visit for the 2nd time with a few girlfriends to watch a game that is not nationally televised or on local cable. Called twice to make sure they will have the game and was reassured both times that it will be on. When we got there, I was told by the manager that his employees would not have said that. I also mentioned that I specifically wanted to come to Buffalo Wings & Rings to support local businesses. He laughed in my face and said they're a chain. Oops, did not know that since I also mentioned that I am from out of state. But that laugh is warranted, I guess. He did solve my issue though by recommending Buffalo Wild Wings. We ordered a team work lunch through Door Dash. They got 2 out of 3 orders wrong. When we called to complain they blamed the Door Dash driver and said he checked the order before he left and they couldn't do anything. Ridiculous! Had a coupon for free app. Counting calories, I knew my options would be a bit limited but was pleasantly surprised when my server at the bar said I could get the buffalo nachos with grilled chicken instead of fried tenders. I also couldn't eat the queso blanco (wish I could of course!) so I was able to get without. The chicken was nicely sauced with the right amount of heat. The appetizer was very large and I'm glad I didn't get queso or my leftover chips would have been soggy later ;) The server was attentive on my drink and more than accommodating for my requests and she was super friendly. We realized 10 minutes in why we hadn't been there for a while, service is still lousy. Waited 10 minutes before a server came to the table, another 10 minutes before our drinks were brought out and when our food was brought out it was ice cold. Spoke to the manager who did take care of everything and say it was unacceptable, but the last three times we've come, because our son used to work there, sland we like their food, has been lousy service and cold food. Buffalo Wings & Rings is mine and my husband's favorite wing place in Omaha! The wings are not little nuggets, they are the size a wing is supposed to be! My favorite is the Garlic Parmesan! Deliciously seasoned, perfectly fried, and drenched in butter. The atmosphere is awesome too! There are tons of TVs. We are usually seated right away, which is always a plus. There is a good amount of seating in the restaurant. We have been here numerous times and the service has always been great! Very friendly and all of our waiters have a great sense of humor. This is my favorite wings place in town. They have TV's everywhere. My friends and I come here often during football season, because they always have our game on because of the sheer number of TV's hanging around the room. Lots of selection as far as the wings go. They don't have as many flavors as Buffalo Wild Wings, but they have some unique ones that taste great, and you get to choose the spice level. The wings themselves are very meaty and are pretty decently sized. When you order 10 wings, you get 10 solid wings. It always seems like they aren't very busy. We've never had trouble getting a table. Its very surprising to me because the atmosphere and food are great. Food is delivered quickly as well and we've always had pleasant servers. read more

We just moved to town and have no cable yet (that's another review!) but wanted to watch the Women's World Cup final a week or so back. We'd seen this place while out exploring and a friend also recommended it for watching the game, so we decided it would be our destination for dinner and game watching. We were greeted and seated right away and immediately were also greeted by our server, I think her name was Bailey. She was very sweet and patient as we looked over the menu. She did a great job the whole night we were there. For an app, we went with a combo that had mozzarella sticks, potato skins, and I think southwestern eggs rolls (something like that). Everything was good, nothing outstanding but certainly tasty. I ordered boneless wings, hot, with garlic parmesan, my wife had a bacon cheeseburger, and my boys had a hot dog and mini corn dogs. The kids meals were fine and they liked them. My wife's burger was really good, perfectly done. Usually burgers at wing places leave me underwhelmed but this one was worth the trip. The boneless wings were excellent. I loved them. Two things really stood out on the wings. First, they are really big, not some puny thing you have gotten before, but also tasty. Second, I love that they load them with sauce. I've ordered wings from places in the past where it is only half covered in sauce. Not here. They put a ton on it. The 'hot' wasn't really that hot so I may step it up next time but it had great flavor. Maybe the best boneless wings I've ever had. I will definitely get those again. We finished up with a chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream. We split it among us and everyone seemed to enjoy it. As I said before, our server Bailey was attentive and did a very good job. This place looked really promising walking in. Great atmosphere and very clean (as it should be, it's a brand new building). We started off with some rings and they were really good. Bout the same as Red Robin but the sauce wasn't as tasty. Now the wings... Meh. I do like the concept of being able to pick a flavor and then adjusting the heat as you like. Most places you just pick the flavor (mild, med, hot, atomic, garlic, etc) but here you can choose something like sweet and sour and make it atomic hot. That's about all they had going for them. The wings just didn't seem up to par with other places. They all had a blah taste to them. It was hard to distinguish one flavor from another. I liked the presentation in the cool bowls, but after you get half done, you realize the bottom half of the wings are just floating in grease. Yuk. I think their sauces are too thin and waaay to greasy. The sauces just do not stick on the wings like they should. I would recommend going to Wing Stop instead of these guys. I hate to say it but when it comes to just the wings, even BWW has them beat. I didn't have any of their sandwiches so I can't comment on those. If I ever return I'll be eating one since the wings just weren't my style. read more

Glad I went here! We decided to grab a bite here for lunch. We were seated right away and the drink order was delivered quickly to our table. Our server was very friendly through the entire meal and quick to get us what we needed. She was awesome! We ordered the swine chips and OMG they were to die for. They were a good size for four or five people (we only had 3) and I ended up eating so much of them that I was full before my meal came out! My boyfriend ordered medium buffalo wings, I had a couple and that were okay. For a place called wings and rings I expected bigger wings and better flavor. I ordered a burger and onion rings. I ended up taking the burger home because I was so full but I ate it for dinner that night and it was great haha. I had a few onion rings and they were tasty and fresh, but pretty standard. My wife and I popped in around 7 on a Sunday night. Even though I would consider it a bar, there was a sign up that asked us to wait to be seated. It looks like the hostess was cleaning up a table or something, because we had to wait 5-10 minutes before we were seated, despite it being half empty. The table service was friendly, although my beer took a long time and my wife's iced tea was never refilled. Not a great tap selection with mostly domestics, but I think pitchers were only $6.50. I got some wings which were fine, but didn't stand out. I also got some onion rings which should be great since it's in the name of the place, right? They were OK, but also didn't stand out. My wife enjoyed her veggie burger and the fries were good. The only thing that did stand out was homemade blue cheese that came with the wings, everything else seems like it came right off the Sysco truck. There's nothing offensive about this place, but also nothing that really stands out. I guess if you really love pitchers of Bud and blue cheese, this is your place. read more

I was so uninspired by our dinner here that I don't even have the energy to write out a full review, but here goes: $28 without tip gets you a basket of fried dill pickle spears, 15 boneless wings (5 Garlic-Q, 5 Cajun, 5 Garlic Parmesan), a side of potato wedges and a side of onion rings. The fried pickles were tasty, the potato wedges were good, the onion rings were okay and the wings were so-so. On the plus side, the waiter was great - attentive and helpful.
