The crowd has significantly mellowed out, while retaining many of the old regulars. The staff, no longer up to their elbows in crazy people and Corona regulations, have returned to being the friendly neighbors that they once were. It's the quintessential hometown dive bar once again. You won't find a smoked Old Fashioned with Japanese ice served in a magnetic glass, and that's a good thing.
