Food was hot because it was in a container to keep it hot unlike others brought in a paper bag. They fries were in a separate hot bag to keep crispy and the boneless wings were great. I went to take my mother for wings and the waitress could not even understand English! We were brought the wrong drinks 3 times! I got upset and went to the manager to complain. Not sure if this is customary for this restaurant to automatically apply a 20 percent tip on ones bill.. where 8 of us ate yes but to do this ?? However, I asked the girls at checkout if this was correctly done... the waitress said that it says it on the menu if 6 or more people eat that this percentage would apply... it seems very strange to me... and she also stated that it is also up to the server what percentage to add...meanwhile on the receipt gives one options to add 15,18 or 20 percent .. what if the customer doesn't have the 20 percent the server decided to give herself??? Second time ordering through GrubHub. Not sure if its the GrubHub driver (who was wearing a Wings In Weston tshirt) or the fact that they did not poke holes in the container to let the steam out for my fries but the food arrived about 75 minutes after I placed my order (this is 5 minutes over what the estimate gave me but it was ok - I know there's traffic) but my fries that cost me a dollar extra were soggier than the Everglades. The chicken flanks were good. They forgot one of the extra blue cheeses - again an extra $1.00, not to mention the fee for Grubhub. I will not be ordering stuff from here anymore ****I am updating my review because I should have waited until I had the chicken flanks. They were delicious but they dont come with blue cheese so what I got is what I paid for (Reading is fundamental but apparently I am not fundamental). What a disappointment!!! We have been ordering from this place for over 4 years now and lately the food has been less than mediocre. Last night around 7p.m., after arriving home from a long plane ride, we decided to give this place another try. The kids we're starving and tired and so was the husband and I. We ordered $68 worth of food. A 15 piece plain wings that looked like leftovers from someone's lunch. A 10 piece lemon pepper wings that only arrived with 8 pieces even though I paid for the full amount. A 10 piece hot garlic wings, that actually were mostly okay, besides the fact that the wings had little substance. We ordered steak fries, that aren't actually steak fries just larger fries and they were utterly disgusting!! They were hard as a rock and also looked like someone's leftovers from lunch. We also ordered the onion rings for $8 and only got about 9 pieces. I called the restaurant to let them know about my disappointment. The people I talked to on the phone didn't really seem to care too much, but still sent someone over about a half hour later with new "undercook" fries and three wings to make up for my missing ones. The second batch was still pretty disappointing, especially after a long day of traveling we had to heat the oven and cook the fries ourselves. The only thing they really got right was my blue cheese and celery. It sucks to spend over $70 on take out just to be fully disappointed. I grew up coming here back in the day when the strip mall this is in used to be packed with people, & the days when everyone went to Weston 8. I moved away out of state, and recently moved back & it is not the same as it once was, sadly. It is actually no longer considered a part of the "Wings Plus" Franchise, it's now just called "Wings" or something like that, but it's the exact same menu still...just a name change probably for legal purposes. It's not necessarily that the food is bad here, it's more that something just is off about it...it seems like the cook nowadays is half-assing it & this place is like a ghost town. There is never anyone there eating anymore! I don't know what happened. I have always been the biggest fan of their blue cheese, & that is still pretty much the same here. I will always have a soft spot in my heart for this Wings Plus because I have a lot of memories from coming here back in the day, but it wouldn't be my first choice anymore. I hate to betray Wings Plus for Uncle Al's, but it seems like that time has come. This is the place to go for wings in Weston, SW Sunrise and Davie. Lots of easy parking due to the movie theater in the same strip mall. They have a quick delivery service. The owner even delivered to my house one time. Good diverse menu with salads, fried mushrooms, and all of the sports bar type food. Something good on the menu for everyone. Take out is great too. If you have to wait a couple of minutes a nice six stool bar welcomes you to the frosty mug taste of five or so beers they have on tap plus, lots of regular and micro brew bottles.
