I was a consistent customer at wings mix and I loved it. But tell me why the lady at the front pressed me about refilling my drink . I bought 1 sm plate of chipotle fries, 1 small ranch, 1 small drink & paid $18+. Why am I not able to refill my drink more then twice??? I told her that rule was unfair and she argued with me about it. She claimed pepsi charges them a lot after I told her for an $18 dollar meal I should at least be able to refill my drink more than twice. I guess the customer is never right here. Lady really pressed me over a refill. I don't know if I'll ever be coming back.

My family has eaten food from Wings Mix many times before and have always been satisfied. So we ordered our Super Bowl wings from them today. Haydee took my order and payment in the morning for an early afternoon pick up. The cooks prepared the food when we arrived so that it was warm and fresh. Haydee made sure that the food looked good and that everything was accounted for. There was a small wait, which is totally expected today, but she made sure to check in with us as we waited. We got the Mango Habanero, Honey BBQ, Chipotle, Lemon Pepper and Medium wings as well as a couple of burritos. Everything was tasty and hit the spot. Kudos to the cooks for the delicious food and to Haydee for being on top of everything despite it being a busy afternoon. Will definitely continue coming.

This is a nice hidden gem hidden around the corner from Vons. Moving up to North County, I needed a new spot for Buffalo chicken fries and no body does it better than this place. The chicken is fire (pun intended) and juicy! The sauces with medium buffalo and chipotle mayo are so good. The thicker cut fries are perfect to slop up that sauce.

Support a small business for sure. Go drop off your car at Santa Fe Car wash and then stop in here for some good food! My husband said they were good and guess what, affordable!! Service was good the guy was nice and made the food fast. We will come back. read more

It's Mother's Day, so naturally I wanted something simple and delicious for dinner. We are new to the area, so initially, we started looking for Wing Stop locations near us. Anyone that's been to Wing Stop before knows the reviews are never great. After looking a couple of locations with under 2 star reviews, we started searching for small businesses. That is how we stumbled upon Wings Mix and have never been more grateful. Wings Mix was everything I needed and more. The menu selection is huge. Their portions are huge. Their wings?!? The perfect crisp. Probably some of the best wings I've ever had. I had the Chipotle and my husband had the mild. And my husband being the wing snob he is, sat quiet the entire time while devouring his wings! Highly recommend. My family and I will definitely be back. read more

Id give them 5 stars for the 2 times they got my order right, but the cook is absolute trash. The wings are always undercooked, his excuse is gas is too expensive. So i asked him to charge me extra, i don't mind, i just wanted my wings extra crispy. I thought this would be a fair compromise as SDGE did increase their price per therm by 1 cent over the last year, and i guess every penny counts. The short Mexican cook wasn't having it though, He grabbed the wings out of my hands and threw them in the trash. So its not that gas was too expensive, as i was willing to pay extra for the extra time he would fry them. The cook is just a Donkey-hole. I went in another time, but its always the same cook and the wings are always soggy. Gross. Never again read more

Still on my search for a good wing place, tried this place out today. We ended up trying wings, beef tacos, flautas, and beef taquitos. We did takeout for football night. I was a little surprised when I opened up the wing box and found that they were plain, no sauce. I don't know if it was a miscommunication or is that the way they serve them? Whatever the case, they were really good, no frozen taste, not fatty, and fried to a nice crunch, couldn't be any better to me. The beef tacos were crunchy and loaded with delicious shredded beef, nice. The taquitos, crunchy and good. Weren't a big fan of the chicken flautas. Chicken had knuckles in it and fat pieces, way lower quality than the other items we tried. I loved the salsas, green and red, very important to me, won't go back to a place with bad salsa. Came in for the atomic chipotle fries and was not disappointed! Although the atomic could have been hotter (but I'm a hot fanatic so I'm sure these are hot for regular people). My little sister told me about this place so we came to check it out and Oh my gawd this place is a little hidden gem. Amazing Service. The young lady at the counter was very sweet. Food came out fast and fresh. Many different items for my family to choose from. My daughter loved her Chipotle fries and my husbands burrito was the size of his arm. Prices are great. My fave place!!!!! Love love love being pregnant I'm glad there is so much variety ! Food is so delicious! And the staff is very kind! Will go again & again! Update: still loving this place! So much variety and the workers are so nice also the prices. My infants are on finger food and picky eaters and Will always finish their plates here. The food portions are huge, you need to keep that in mind when ordering. The pricing is pretty cheap. I got the Cali burrito and It didn't mean my expectations maybe It was the meat. I had a bite of the Cali burrito with adobada meat and that was beyond better the carne asada one. Definitely a must try place. read more

This is a brand new location for the store. There are 2 others. It used to be a Mexican restaurant. They do have Mexican food, but also wings, bread & fries. Kind of an odd mix, but I like it. I asked them if they had a problem with a large menu and she said no. The other locations are doing just fine. I ordered the Sweet & Sour wings and the BBQ pulled pork fries. Just the pulled pork filled me up. I was not able to eat most of the fries or any of the wings. I try them tomorrrow. The fries were standard fair, nothing special without the pulled pork. I look forward to the wings tomorrow. The pulled pork was delicious. I'll be back in a week or so to try other menu items, maybe the breakfast burrito. read more

I started reading reviews for the best wings in north county and decided to give this place a try. I ordered something called the "21 combo" or something like that. It came with 20 huge wings (not tiny wings like other places), a whole carton of carrots and celery (enough for me to contemplate making some kind of soup with the leftovers), a huge box of french fries(I mean huge), and a soda all for under $21. The only thing I would have ask for if I were being obnoxiously picky is a little more sauce on the wings. Great customer service and great experience! read more

I'm so happy my fiance saw this place when leaving Vons. This is actually my 3rd time ordering since May 20th and more visits to come. I ABOSULUTLY LOVE THIS PLACE! The ribs are so tender, meaty and delicious, I've order from some well known places for bbq in Vista and Oceanside and they don't compare! French fries I can reheat in oven and tasted really good, 1 st time for that result when it comes to french fries . I also had there two hard shell chicken tacos, and yes delicious large meaty tacos yet again. Great friendly service when picking up. Please keep up the good work ! I live right by this little place and always wanted to try So I finally gave it a try I ordered the crispy chicken salad lettuce was good and chicken both . I had the original sauce which is a medium heat And got a side for dipping of the hot , Good service and food . They gave big menus with burritos as well . read more

The beans here are bomb and so are the wings but their service is horrible and so is the cleanliness. I came here during Covid to pick up food and the older lady was standing at the counter yelling at her phone and I was standing there waiting to order and she just continues to yell on her phone then hangs up no mask... coughing.. then takes my card!! Thank goodness I had hand sanitizer on me. Then the man cooking the food in the back has no gloves no mask and keeps wiping away sweat with his hands that he's making food with.... omg I have never been so grossed out specially during Covid so dirty here. read more

Great food and service! Great prices. They give you servings worth the cost!!! The Chicken Fries are sooo much better than other local wing spots. Trust me I'm very picky!! Carne Asada burritos taste Authentic. Their beans used to be too salty but now they are just perfect!!! Rice is good, just a little bland but I don't like too much salt anyway. They really seem to just keep improving as time Goes by. I used to go here once a week and now I go almost every day. Don't judge me lol ! But I keep trying more things off their menu. The Shrimp Cockail is good but was a little too salty. It's been a month since I tried it again so I will get back on that soon. Excited to try the other plates. They have so many options!!!! I don't normally drink much coffee but had two cups as it was that good. They have a special Serbian plate that I would like to try next time. It has changed hands a couple of times over the last 10-15 years. We regularly ate here as part of our Vista rotation for breakfast/lunch, but we had a poor experience a little over a year ago, so this was our first time back to see how things were. I lasted Yelp reviewed in 2018. There still is a small counter for service inside along with four tables for four and one table for two. Six or so outside tables for service also. One table inside occupied and two outside when we entered. We were greeted by a very pleasant wait staff who were extremely helpful and efficient. We had waters, coffee, Tea, very quickly. Coffee was very good with an assortment of creamers to choose from. I ordered a special Omelet with Chorizo and cheese off their chock board. Side of fruit ($2.50 up charge) instead of potatoes along with Rye Toast. The Toast was just one slice of bread. $17. My better half had the pancake combo, two pancakes with two eggs over easy, one sausage patty. $14.50. We enjoyed the food and service. The prices were fair for the portions and quality of what we ordered. We will add Mom's back into our Vista rotation.

I also noticed dogs are allowed on the patio. Our server was friendly, attentive, and helpful with menu questions. My parents both really enjoyed their meals. They ordered the Classic Omelet and the Ensenada Omelet with home style potatoes and were already talking about coming back after the first few bites. I ordered the Mexican Omelet, which was just okay for me. I would have liked the bell peppers to be cooked a little longer, and the dish could have been warmer when it arrived. That said, there were enough positives that I'd definitely come back and try more of the menu. Based on how much my parents enjoyed their food, I think it's worth another visit.

So I got up walked over to her open kitchen and said, "I think we will go somewhere we feel more wanted". she looked up glared and said fine! We started to walk out and she came out and said $3.00 for the coffee, like she was A DRILL SARGENT! I would have said, bleep, bleep, bleep BUT..... MY friend hadn't even touched it but put the $3.00 down and asked for a to go cup. That made her even madder, my firend said, tough day?AND her excuse yet again was her cook was sick. Sorry lady that only works for awhile and why was that our problem. I personally think it's time for her to retire with that attitude! We decided to go down to our new local restaurant "BLACK BEAR DINER"! What a great experience, had an excellent meal and service was awesome too. Will never return to Connie's NEGATIVE diner. Head the warning!

Companies that CHARGE FOR CONDIMENTS will lose my business. I am already buying food, why are you charging me for something that I want to enjoy with it???? Please reevaluate your customer service and business practices. I will not be returning here and as for anyone reading these reviews, be prepared to be charged a DOLLAR PER any sauce you want extra. Oh and be sure to not take too much salsa or they will rudely tell you not to. SAD EXCUSE for a restaurant. I will be warning all my friends. read more

It's really disappointing when you spend so much money here, and then you get charged even more for extra sauce. I've read other reviews from here and it seems like I'm not the only one who has a problem with this. Please stop charging extra for sauces that compliment my meal. It sucks for your customers and they clearly are complaining. read more
