Don't let the name of the place fool you, this place has amazing, hot, made to order donuts. We stopped here every morning after our walk for warm donuts. The older man working behind the counter must be the owner be cause he seems so nice and proud to welcome you each morning to his shop at the beach. I can only assume that they must have been dealing with rowdy drunk people all day on the Sunday before the 4th of July, so they sort of have my sympathy here. When we called in our order following a massive craving for chicken fingers, we realized it was so loud in there that they could hardly hear us. As a result, they screwed up our order, and gave us plain wings. (Who the heck wants plain wings?) We mentioned this, calmly and politely, and well... I assume he is the manager or something, he came out of the back, held up the order they had scrawled down and proceeded to yell at us, "THE PLACE IS CALLED WINGS TO GO! WE MAKE WINGS. YOU SAID PLAIN, SO WE GAVE YOU WINGS." Wait, does that make sense? Maybe the rowdy drunk person in this story was actually working behind the counter. We apologized for the confusion and asked if we could trade in our order for fingers. The answer was no. Or, "NO!" as the fat old man said, walking away from us. This was never a place that I would have expected great service from as it is basically a take out joint with a few picnic tables but the young lady taking my order did not seem capable of any conversation. We ordered three types of wings, buffalo shrimp, onion rings and garbage fries. suicide wings - laughably not hot. I wondered if they selected the wrong sauce. Not very spicy and not much flavor. My son went in and asked for an extra sauce of the homicide (the hottest) and was told it cost another 75 cents. I said forget it after having spent $80 already. Buffalo garlic - not much spice but a little more flavor then the suicide. Still not enough sauce for my liking. Mild - did not taste but I believe they were ok given the review of our daughters friend. Buffalo shrimp - not enough sauce or flavor and the breading got pretty soggy. Definitely not worth it. Onion rings - ok but I would bet you the cost if thus lunch they were frozen from Sysco. Garbage fries - they were just plain fries. I think they got the order wrong but I didn't figure this out before the kids ate half and I decided not to put up a fuss. To be fair the wings were all good sized and cooked well. All in all super disappointed. I will not be back. If this is what people think are good wings I need some of what they are smoking. read more

Prices are around $1 a wing but I ignored that and coughed up a small fortune to feed some friends and I. They are the perfect size and the wide range of sauces are awesome...they start at Mild and go all the way up to either Suicide or Homicide (I can't remember which one is hotter). It was hard to find only because Google Maps said that it was a block away from our hotel on Clayton Street when it was actually about 4 blocks away. But once we got there we ordered 10 Honey BBQ, 10 Hot, 5 Teriakyi and 5 Honey Dijon. It took awhile to get them but once we did it was WORTH IT. I'm not a wing girl but I ordered some boneless ones anyway and they were delicious. The Teriakyi were amazing and I had a little extra sauce to dip my other wings in. Everyone loved every sauce that we had and was satisfied. While we were waiting they even made us some doughnuts to sample that were also hot and fresh though we didn't buy any. Cash ONLY!!! They should tell you this before you place an order since a lot of people no longer carry it. That being said, I arrived to find this out. The person at the counter told me I had to use their atm, which assessed a fee along with the penalty my bank charges for using an out of network atm. I told him no and before I could get out that I would go to my bank he proceeded to curse me out, called me an ahole and many other names in front of my 9 year old son even after I asked him multiple times to please not curse in front of my son. He told me to get out, which I did, and then proceeded to follow me and continue to bully and berate me outside. I couldn't get my car unlocked fast enough and he was yelling at me to get off his property.. I was going as fast as I could. I have never in my life left an order without paying nor have I ever left a restaurant without paying, but he didn't even give me a chance. I always tip at least 15% even when the service is god awful, and often tip when picking up to go orders. I have never come across anyone so unprofessional and especially in front of a child. Wow. I came to Dewey this week for the first time in 13 years. One day, I walked up the steps of my family's apartment complex to find my aunt ecstatically chowing down on a chicken tender. She said "oh my God have you ever had wings to go, this tender is phenomenal.". Now i'm not a tender gal myself, but at the sound of "wings" my heart began to race with excitement. I pushed my cousin down the stairs and ran to their fine establishment and got myself 8 buffalo hot (not that hot i recommend even if you're usually sfraid of spice) wings with a small fry. Since that day, I have had wings every. single. day. I am currently in bed planning when I am going to go get my wings today. Do i wing it before the beach? or shall I wing it after? Who knows. PS- It is my 7th day here. I would also like to add that the man at the cash register- who i believe is the owner or manager- is an extremely kind soul and I wish him eternal happiness.
