Decided to go there yesterday after hearing great things about Wing Stop. The thing that bothered me is you cannot just buy wings. You can only buy combos. I don't usually buy soda and fries anywhere. Food took a really long time to cook and there wasn't many people there. I guess everyone figured out to phone in the order and pick it up later. I ordered Barbecue tenders and it was just way too salty. Not good. The other part of my order was some boneless wings and some bone in wings. They were so tiny. They were probably pigeon wings. Those were also salty. Fries were OK. Pretty expensive overall at 45 bucks for 3 orders. No garbage cans to throw out your straw wrapper. So she suggested Wingstop after her friend said the wings were good and to get an order of the buttered rolls with our meals. I ordered the small bone-in combo which is 6 wings w/2 sauces, fries & drink. I chose the new Spicy Korean & the mango habanero. Mini-Me ordered the small boneless combo w/ mild and hickory smoked BBQ. The bone-in wings are a higher price than boneless, usually boneless are higher price. We also went with the small order of the rolls. Ordering was easy, we self helped our beverages & got our table. There are no napkins on the tables only a roll of paper towels that is "community" towels, so I just unrolled some and left it, but was thinking- huh, can't they just put napkins on the tables. Anyway name was called after about 20 minutes. 1. The rolls were just like large rolls with butter, so total waste of money, no flavor- would not order again. 2. Sweet tea was old- def had that tannic taste 3. Bone-in wings were rubbery, the mango habanero- though next sauce under "atomic" HAD absolutely no flavor, none, no heat, I was disappointed and the Spicy Korean- forget it. 4. Mini-Me said her boneless were terrible, not sure if over cooked but had a sour taste, the mild wing sauce was flavorless and the she took one bite of the BBQ and said she really couldn't eat them. This has to be one of the worst places I ever ate. The wings were so greasy that my stomach was immediately in shambles. Additionally, between my daughter and I, we had 4 different sauces - none of them were good. The fries were horrible. The attitude of the staff stunk, as well. This place has no garbage bins inside, so you have take your garbage after you eat outside of the store. The soda machine only has the basic sodas. You basically have to clean your table, coz no one in the store would at least look at the dining area if if was clean or not. The wait time is tooooo long! I mean over 30mins. The order was picked up without any issues. The family pack of 40 wings was ordered with a side. All of the wings were boneless. The side was fries with Cajun seasoning. The size of the boneless wings were somewhat disappointing. I have listed each item I tried below. Hickory Smoked BBQ - It was my favorite sauce of the ones I tried this time around. The sauce was tangy and tasty. There was not an overbearing of the sauce either. Atomic - This was just not good. It was very hot, but not to the point where it was unbearable. There was too much of a hot pepper taste. Mango Habanero - This was a nice flavor. It had a very nice little kick to it that was just right. It was a nice balance of sweet and spicy. Mild - This was a classic wing sauce without the spiciness factor. It was solid, but nothing terrific. Cajun Seasoned Fries - They were salty this time around. A wingstop by me, Finally! After seeing it in so many of Rick Ross' snapchats I knew I had to check it out. Plus I am very much a fan of BBQ boneless wings. Well after leaving the Stress Factory one Sunday night from New Brunswick, this was the go-to place. They close ate midnight every night !! What a plus!! They also have TVs ! The sauces I enjoy the most are the Garlic Parmesan and the Hickory Smoked BBQ. The wings are dynamite. Mine were perfectly fired and tossed in the right amount of sauce. The order does take a while but that is because they are made to order. Understandable. If you are starving, order ahead ! Their online ordering is pleasant and easy to use. The reason for the star off were the fries. Seems like they gave me fries that were fried right when I ordered. Since I waited around 15-20 minutes for the wings, the fries were super soggy and dark in color. Also they were over-salted completely. Enough to make a face. Ah. So my husband knows I love wings...like, sure we can share but you know how much I can eat love wings. Lol. We stopped by after hitting up a nearby store. It was lunch and early so it was empty. We ordered a bunch of wings with fries. I think it was the garlic parm dry rub and a sweet spicy sauce (I forgot). About 10-15 mins later, they were ready. We also wanted sodas (duh) with our orders....but there was a catch....the soda machine didn't have ice. No thanks to warm soda....but we were given the option to take out cup a few stores down to get ice from another food spot. My pure laziness was like "eh" lol so bottled soda it is! The wings were pretty large so I was kind of pleasantly surprised. Each one was coated pretty well so I didn't find random spots that didn't have sauce/rub. Holy cow. I really wanted this to be a 5 star review. I wish I could give Wing Stop 5 stars, but I just can't. Let me start with the positives - and there are some really great positives. First, everything is made to order. Prepare to wait a few minutes more than you might expect, but I think that's a good thing. As I mention below, the food was cooked properly and not over-done. For the quality prep, worth a little wait. It might be better to order ahead online and just go pick up your order. Incidentally, their website is actually pretty easy to use, even from a phone, and offers quite a few options to customize your order. I was considering ordering online before we decided to just take a ride over there. We ordered a 24 wing combo. It comes with a large order of fries, an order of veggie sticks (celery and carrots), your choice of 3 wing sauces, and 3 dipping sauces. Big plus: Many options of sauces and dips as well as how to divide your wings! We ended up splitting our order to 12 boneless for my wife and 12 drum-only wings for me. She had the Garlic Parmesan sauce and I opted to further split into Classic Hot and Louisiana Hot. The Classic Hot is exactly what I was looking for - nice spicy wings without being super duper hot, with lots of flavor. I'm a little bit of a chili-head, but definitely want some flavor with my spice. Not a whole ton of sauce to prevent the bleu cheese from adhering to the wing. Solid. On track for a solid 4 star review here. Not exactly wing Nirvana, but good, solid wings. My wife wasn't a fan of the the Garlic Parmesan. I tasted one of her wings, and it was flavorful, but pretty heavy on the parmesan. I'm not a cheese fan, so it was just meh for me. Again, done properly. Not overcooked, so nice and tender. Now the Louisiana Hot. I don't know how these are, because we ended up getting Lemon Pepper in our order. This was not the only goof-up in our order by the person who took our order, either. So, BIG minus here. I'm not sure if it was a language barrier or a new computer system or what the problem was, but Louisiana Hot was replaced with Lemon Pepper, and the cheese sauce for our fries was on the side despite asking for the sauce ON the fries. The Lemon Pepper drumsticks were mild, so not entirely my taste. They were pretty good with ranch dressing. Again, properly done wings (not over-done, which is super easy to do) with good flavor. The highlight for me, believe it or not, was the fries. I can't quite identify what's in their spice blend, but it may just be John-Crack(tm). This stuff is good. And even for a non-cheese guy like me, the cheese sauce is really yummy. My next to-go order might be just a large order of fries with cheese sauce on the side! TL;DR version: If it weren't for the counter/order goof-up, this would still be a 4 Star review rather than 5. I'm a little disappointed that I wasn't completely blown away by Wing Stop. I was very much hoping to find our go-to wing spot. We'll go back, but probably won't be in super heavy rotation. Went a few times in the span of a few weeks as a special outing with my kids. The first time was fine and inspired us to go back, except dining-in is clearly something they'd like you not to do. As others have mentioned, there are no trash cans anywhere in the restaurant. I chose to bring our trays and trash back up to the counter, but others hadn't and had left everything on their table. On one visit, a table sat uncleaned with trash and uneaten food on the table for our entire hour-long plus meal! One week we went in and found a large puddle of water trailing from the soda machine. The staff clearly knew about it as there was a cautionary "Wet floor" sign nearby. Only after close to 45 minutes did anyone come out from behind the counter to address it, first by awkwardly throwing way too few paper towels on it and then by finally grabbing a mop. This wouldn't have been so bad, but on our very next visit, the puddle of water had been replaced with a puddle of soda syrup! And it was clear the staff had been told of it because they had thrown a rubber floor mat, like one you might wipe your feet on on the way in, right into it and just left it there! During that visit, the issue was never addressed and my family's shoes were left sticky post-meal. We haven't been back since. The food is fine but really doesn't merit visiting; call for take-out if you care to. I've always loved chicken wings and was having fun sharing that with my kids in a more casual setting than BWW and in one where the staff has all their clothes on.
