Food is almost always 5 stars for me and this time was no different. They take a long time, but I don't mind that, we order online and go in for pick and we even have them cook em well done. Usually takes about 5o minutes. Service is generally solid and it was fine today as well. The problem was the social distancing measures for me. There is no clear method here, just random lines all over the place with no numbers and no direction from employees. People were crossing over each other trying to figure out where to stand. So, I was craving for wings for awhile and came to wing stop and ordered to-go. I wasn't aware that I ordered the boneless instead of the regular wings. When we got home, I was surprise to see nuggets. I called them right away to settle it with the manager and she explained to me that I did order the boneless. I told her I wanted the one with bones. So mortifying. Greasy bathroom floor. Kitchen grease. Dining room stunk. I held my breath and left. They have issues with cleaning not done properly. We usually have a good experience here, but our dinner last night was ruined. We made the drive from Lompoc and got there around 11:15 pm, a good 45 minutes before they close. There was a group of 5 or 6 kids in front of us, so that understandably delayed our order being ready, which didn't bother us and we did not complain about. When our order was ready and I saw it was to go, I double checked to make sure it was ours as we had ordered to dine-in. An employee by the name of Kevin (who already had a track record of being rude to us) replied in a very condescending tone that since it was so close to closing, it was bagged as to-go and did I want him to set it all out on a tray for me. I said no, and walked back to my table. While I understand that at that point it was close to 11:45 pm, the delay was in no way our fault. He had absolutely no reason to act so disrespectfully and unprofessionally towards a customer. I love wingstop. I was very very disappointed with this experience. I tried to call my order in 10 minutes before I got there. The woman working put me on hold for 8 minutes. I hung up and called again already upset. She asked to put me on hold again, when I asked how much longer it's already been 8 minutes.. She diddnt even apologize her response was "it's busy" and put me back on hold. When I walked in wingstop minutes later there was maybe two people there. Very disappointing and my fries were cold. It is so unfortunate how fast this place has gone downhill within the past 6+ months ! Wingstop was one of the better food places we had in Santa Maria. It is understandable to have a wait time for your food to cook, or during a rush hour, but when I walk in to pick up my food and I see four plus employees standing around , hanging out on their phone and joking around with each other, than that becomes unacceptable! I've been a regular customer since this business had opened up, and despite the numerous times they have messed up my order, overcharged me, and been rude I continuously decide to give it another chance and hope that I will leave satisfied, but unfortunately that is never the case! The extra star is for military discount. This is going to be my go to place when i'm craving wings because this is the only place that I know of. Had eaten here previously so I knew it was not fast food and there'd be a wait, so on a Saturday I ordered online with plenty of time prior to my pickup. The order process was smooth and pickup time was confirmed for 35 minutes from the time of order. I arrived at Wingstop about 7 minutes early, paid at the register for the order (they did not have rolls which I ordered, but I was not charged) and sat down to wait, thinking it would be only a few minutes. When I hadn't been called about 15 minutes later, and individuals orders were ready who had ordered after I paid, I knew there was something wrong. At this time, and not when I paid, I was told there was an issue with the printer at the time of order. My order did not get entered until I came in, and it would be another 10 minutes. No apology offered. Another gentleman was waiting as well and he said he called in his order 2 hours prior and it still was not ready! I waited another 10 minutes, checked, order still not ready. Was going to cancel and go elsewhere but my grandkids really wanted Wingstop, so I told them I'd wait no more than 10 minutes longer. After 10 minutes and still waiting, I went to the register to cancel the order and get a refund. It took a minute to get to the register and at that time my order was called. It took an hour and 15 minutes to get my food, such horrible service. And if they cared for their customers, they'd at least offer us a drink or throw in something extra to compensate, but we got not even an I'm sorry. There were 3 girls at the registers, and it looked like at least 7 or 8 guys in the back working, so I don't see what the delay was all about. Also, they were filling other orders before mine was ready so apparently they prioritize orders and smaller orders are first, which is awful customer service. I have to say I've had a poor experience with the wing stop here in Santa Maria. I work at the Starbucks around the corner and typically like to Mobil order my food in advance for pick up. I order in a timely fashion so that my food is ready when I get on my lunch around 10/1030 pm. The website wasn't working so I had to call my order in. I was on hold for about five minutes, no biggie I understand being busy, but once I was ordering the girl was rushing me off the phone. I ordered boneless and got bone in, I ordered cheese fries and revived regular fries, I ordered ranch and did not revive any. There was only one person on register and six people in line. I stood at the pick up area for another five minutes and watched the cooking crew leaning on the counters laughing and chatting. Two boys made eye contact and looked away.
