    Early Bird Menu

Nice servers. Clean facilities. Quiet atmosphere, with good cocktails. Bread and butter is ok. Bread is a little on the chewy and tough side.

Five stars...I haven't given that in months. On this night, everything was just right. It might've been a 4 star experience, but I was shocked when I walked in at 5:55 PM, they had Early Bird specials but only good till 6 PM. On top of that, from Sunday through Thursday, the front desk gives you a coupon that takes off 15%that total bill. Excellent food and very good service, and great value...how could I not give it five stars? I was a little apprehensive walking in because the only voices I heard were a a group of 70 plus year old women, widows perhaps that talked about grandkids and medical problems. There was one family of three and they were pretty quiet. So, I sat in the corner. What a great view of an elegant interior to my right, and a dark, blue line lit runway of the Santa Maria airport to my left. The bus person brought water right away and my server Gina came by shortly after to bring bread. The warm kalamata olive sourdough was great with butter. I almost asked for more, but I'm trying to cut down on carbs.. There was a great selection of local PInot Noirs by the glass and chose one of the suggested local favorites..dang I forgot which one. It had hints of cherries and was semi dry, worked fine with Prime Rib though a Cab might've been better. The early bird special was $19.99 for Prime Rib, and slightly less for the Sea Bass $16.99 and the same for fried chicken breast, It includes a small salad and a drink as well as a small scoop of ice cream or sherbet. Does this meal make me look fat? I don't care, ha. In 10 minutes, the salad came out. It is a small bowl of spring greens, and not an lick of the cheaper romaine or iceberg lettuce and some croutons. The dressing was creamy with chunks of bleu cheese. Liked it a lot. I ordered prime rib medium rare, and it came out 20 minutes later perfectly cooked with a delicious herbed crust. It was supposed to be a smaller cut, but it was HUGE, typically in the $25 size in most restaurants. The server was right...the kitchen was in a good, generous mood,. It was well marbled, and melt in your mouth texture. The au jus was warm and salty and had a garlic, onion, and rosemary and thyme taste. Loved the garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus spears, and two small carrots served, not overcooked and had a buttery taste and texture. I had fresh brewed coffee with my ice cream. There was something special about this ice cream, and asked the server what brand it was because I wanted to perhaps buy it. The natural vanilla flavor was light but the texture was smooth and silky with a great mouth feel. Turns out it's Cascade Glacier, a small shop in Eugene Oregon, per the internet. It was s pleasant surprise. The total for the food, wine, and coffee with the discount was $26 including tax. I was going to search for a restaurant in town, but I'm glad I ate here, and would eat here again. ..even though they did everything to spoil my intent to eat more lightly in 2015. But it was worth it.

    Bruschetta on olive bread

Service was subpar. I had to fill the water glasses at my table. Yes we had a large, but reservation was made. I also had to track down someone for refills of Ice Tea at the table, as I did not see a pitch to fill on my own. Heck, I should have been tipped tonight. The bruschetta on olive bread was funky. But ok. My husbands Cesar salad was awful-the cheese was plastic like, croutons had bad taste. My chicken in my Marsala was tough and the mash potatoes were cold. Not coming back. Food on the ceiling- come clean it off

    a steak and vegetables

Prime Rib Queen Cut. I've never yelp review but have to for Vintner's Bar. Hand down friendliest staff catering to my every needs. The meat was tender, soft, and flavorful. Vegetable was perfectly cooked along with the mashed potatoes for the pairing. The side House Salad with thousand island dressing is just addicted. Will be back for their other dishes. This will be my go to spot when I'm in town :)

House salad with bleu cheese dressing. Very tasty

Fine dining atmosphere, pleasant staff. This restaurant is located inside the Raddison hotel right off the Santa Maria Airport. I enjoyed the prime rib with roasted veggies and rice pilaf. The bread was warm and delicious. For drinks, I ordered a Stella Rosa Moscato which was the perfect asset to my meal. I'm thinking about having a banquet here.

The way wine should be served .... with some on the side

It was tender and well seasoned with just the right amount of fat. It was cooked perfectly. The beans with the salsa were good. The fries were a little soggy but he likes them that way. He had a tom collins. The alcohol to soda and juice ratio was spot on. The atmosphere was casual. We were very comfortable. It was a wonderful experience. Great service great food very enjoyable. But unfortunately, today's experience was anything but enjoyable first off. I ended up after 10 minutes having to go to the bar to retrieve my beer order. Second, my medium, rare filet mignon 12 ounce came back, medium. The first time we went, we were offered warm bread and butter, which didn't happen this time. After I finished my beer, I set the glass on the edge of the table. The waitress came by and checked on the tables on both sides of us and didn't even look our way so I had to go to the bar and order my own second beer. Because we were assured on time, I didn't wanna complain about the overdone filet mignon so I choked half of it down at the end of the meal. I asked to talk to the manager who was not there, but they brought the cook Manager he said, because I ate most of the steak. They were unable to give us any kind of discount and offered a free desert which we were not interested in. I know they have the capability of doing a matter job just be aware and make sure you're getting what you're there and paying for.

We ordered a BBQ chicken pizza which was surprisingly delicious and the wife ordered a beer. We sat in the bar area and I decided to go with the self pour option where they give you a card to tap a sensor and select any beer on tap to pour yourself. Me and a buddy of mine had some issues with a few of the self pour taps where we just believed they were out of beer and it also over charged us. I told a server about my single issue where it over charged me and he said he would take care of it but my friend had the worst of luck. 2/3 beers he attempted to pour were simply out. This was when Jess, our savior came to the rescue. When it was time to pay the tab, she comped both of our orders. Mind you, I had 4 beers. Guess what the total was? Yeah, $28. Paid for my wife's beer and our pizza and because I had a single complication with the beer self pour station, she comped the 4 beers I had as well as my friend's order. The oak grilled open faced rib-eye sandwich was absolutely incredible. I'm not exaggerating when I say it had more flavor than Wolfgang Puck's CUT. The rib-eye was perfectly cooked to the medium temperature I requested, tender enough to bite through without a knife, and seasoned exactly the way Santa Maria style beef should be. So many places are too conservative with the seasoning these days, but they got it just right. Even the bread underneath the steak was perfect. It didn't even need salsa, but of course I tried it both ways. Honestly? I couldn't decide which I liked better because the sandwich was outstanding on its own. We also ordered the linguiça appetizer with garlic bread. The linguiça had that slight char from the grill that gives it so much flavor, and the mustard served alongside it was the perfect pairing. My mom ordered the prime rib sandwich with grilled onions and chose the 50/50 fries and grilled onions. The only minor criticism I have is that it wasn't quite a true 50/50 and could have used a few more grilled onions. Other than that, it was delicious. The pinquito beans have a little kick, so if you're sensitive to spice, keep that in mind. Personally, I wouldn't change a thing. The whole meal took me right back to growing up in the Santa Maria Valley cruising Broadway on Saturday while the entire town smelled like oak fired Santa Maria barbecue. We cook a lot at home, and we're pretty serious about our beef, so eating steak at restaurants is usually disappointing because very few places compare. That's why I was so impressed today. This wasn't just a good sandwich.. it was one of the best rib-eye sandwiches I've ever had. To whoever was running the grill today: outstanding job. You absolutely nailed it. I'll be thinking about that sandwich for a long time.

Then the main course came with our sides, a little pot of salsa and a little pot of beans. The filets were very tender, it not well seasoned. Baked potatoes were fine, but the mixed veggies were tasteless. There may have been some kind of bread, but I don't remember. Service was fine. But waitress really made out.
