The sun came out after at least 60 days! And the temps were in the 70s after weeks of 40s with the heat on. Believe me--it was patio time. Jake was an excellent server, and the food disappeared from our plates. The Hanson hamburger came with grilled onions, melted cheese and mushrooms with perfect fries. My choice was on the special lunchtime menu: the Blueberry Steak Salad, served with steak cooked medium rare, feta, greens, strawberries and more. Ahhhh! If you're looking for a reliable spot for a bite to eat in Beachwood, you have to stop by the Winking Lizard! I was in town for 3+ months getting care at The Clinic. Our hotel, the Home2Suites, recommended this place as a great option if we wanted to eat outside/on a patio. We've been to "The Lizard" several times since we checked in. Every visit has been phenomenal, both in terms of food and service. Upon arrival, you''ll be greeted by the aromatics of fresh-popped popcorn. Be sure to fill a bag to much on, there can be a bit of a wait given the popularity of the spot with locals. On average, I've waited at most 10-15 minutes for a table. Their patio is one of my favorite spots. It's airy, roomy, and just a very laidback vibe/atmosphere. They also have a small area with seating around the fire pit. The menu is very large. If you and your guest can't find something on the menu, you must not be hungry! They have a phenomenal selection of fresh burgers, fresh wings, chicken sandwiches, salads, and appetizers. Notably, my favorite is their Wings. They keep me coming back for more every time. Incredibly crispy. Juicy inside. Sauce flavorful and not overpowering with capsaicin oil/fake heat. They also are happy to accommodate my request of "flats only". Their burgers are also spectacular. Juicy, thick, cooked perfectly medium-rare in my case. Toppings are crisp and fresh. A huge selection of "speciality" burgers on the menu. We like the traditional cheeseburger or the patty melt! I strongly suggest doing the upgrade to the loaded fries or the onion rings! I'm not a drinker, but they have an expansive cocktail and beer menu. Dessert wise is one area that could use improvement, very limited selection and I found the quality of the dessert to be less than acceptable. The prices here are also very reasonable. Aside from the food and patio, that's why we keep coming back. Two people can enjoy lunch and cocktails for around $40 and leave STUFFED. We normally end up sharing an app (the nachos w/chicken are fire) and splitting one of the massive burgers. The Lizard is my go-to when I'm in town at The Clinic. Had dinner at this location last night. Arrived about 6p and had no wait. Sat on the patio and the weather was perfect. Wait staff on the patio was attentive but did not rush us out. Most tables were seated so there was a good energy in the place. Food was good as well. I ordered the teriyaki chicken dinner which was really good. Better than I experienced for what is mostly bar food. The chicken was moist and tender and the teriyaki flavor was prominent. The service is super polite here!!! I love the ambiance the spot was huge compared to canton location!!! Surrounded by plenty TVs with all types of sports playing. There was an outdoor patio. Family friendly. Prices are typical. We got wings and fries! Cajun wings weren't spicy. They were fried hard like I love and we ordered steak fries with lemonade . Food was made fresh. A nice bar with a separate dining area for families. Super cute franchise!!! it gives good town spot! Fallen quite a bit from where it once was. Service is slow and/or indifferent, and many of the staff are just there. It is sad because the Lizard has been one of my favorite places since moving to Cleveland over 20 years ago. The food is still delicious, thankfully, but getting refills and even checking out is a major slog. Comparatively, any fast food place is better as you could at least refill your drinks by yourself and checkout at the register. Once to take our order and once to give us the check (after I flagged him down) If it weren't for the kitchen runners, we would have never gotten our drinks or food. Well sometimes it's decent sometimes, not so decent. For what ever reason if you go on their wing night Mondays and Tuesdays the wangs usually come out sub par, either cold or not crispy. I really hope I can update this review sooner rather than later. I was recommended to stop here by a work colleague but unfortunately I did not have a good experience. It looked promising as I arrived at roughly 4:30pm and there were a lot of open tables and plenty of spots at the bar. I chose to sit at the bar and this is where my trouble began. I ordered a mixed drink that didn't even have the slightest hint of alcohol and wanted to order dinner. I sat there with an empty glass for roughly 15-20min without ever being asked for another drink or if I was ready to order. By the time I was asked I decided it wasn't worth the risk to possibly put in an order for food and it not be put in on a timely manner then possibly wait just as long for my food so I deduced to pay for my drink and visit another eatery. I plan to give this place another shot and hope it's a completely better experience the next time read more

Winking Lizard is and has always been a great place to go with your family. The prices are very fair and the food is pretty good. Wednesday rib night and Thursday burger nights are very popular and the place is always hopping on those nights. I am always interested in the seasonal special menu as well and can usually find something good to eat there as well. The service is always friendly and good and they seem to keep their staff for a long time which is saying something about how they are treated. Most places have trouble keeping staff. The ambiance is great for a bar, there are plenty of TV's hanging all over and there is a small game room for the kids. read more

I ordered a beer batted fish sandwich, The only thing harder than the fish was the bun..I asked for extra tarter sauce, I got only one blue cheese dressing ugh! I put it on my fish before I realized what it was. I got the side of mac and cheese. It was a kids box version with a bland sauce, Horrible! This cost me $13. We had a great time. Just a fun place. Sports bar with a huge menu. Had a hard choice deciding, I went with the Cajun chicken sandwich but I really wanted the $15 T-Bone ( Fri-Sat-Sun special). Unfortunately my wife was with me and closely monitors my red meat intake. It's a sports bar, a lot of tv's and a touch loud, we sat at the outside bar where Zee took very good care of us. Apparently the 32 ounce beers are basically the same price as the 22 ounce so, cheers. Overall, just fun. read more
