His time came recently and we chose the Winking Lizard to host an Irish Wake to celebrate his love of life, laughter and family. Service was horrible. Me and my girl got seated than we sat around and waited for almost 30m before a waiter came to our table. Then the place was almost empty at that. This is one of Clevelands most consistent and reasonably priced Restaurants in town. Friendly service , organized and has different specials each night and is the place to go for TV sporting events in the bar or in the dining room , you can not go wrong. I Love It Here! Every Monday or Tuesday I head in late night to enjoy some of their amazing boneless wings at like 50% off. The prices are fair and the customer service isn't too bad either. Great food and customer service!!! Their wings are wonderful and reasonable priced!! Only down side is that is a small place.

Overall place is good. Servers can be non attentive at shift change. But their shift change is around 5:30 middle of most happy hours.

SHIT SERVICE. Came as a 18 person group from Michigan and made a reservation ahead of time. Once we arrived, we were told we could not eat because you had to be 21 and up or accompanied by an adult. 4 of us were 21 and the rest 19-20. They refused to let us in and never even told us this rule before we made our reservation and drove all the way there. They lost a lot of service tonight and we will be spreading the word to never eat here again. read more

This place is disgusting. Crappy food at a fair price. I used to go here regularly, for the beer tour and cheap wings. Never ordered anything else because I would get sick every time I ate there. I have a few friends that work/have worked in the kitchen. They don't change their gloves, they don't cool things properly, and the cutting boards were cleaned properly once in the year my friend was a supervisor there. Do not recommend this place unless your looking food shit food for cheap. I have them one star because there beer selection is pretty good. read more

This is my go-to spot for lunch. Consistently good food. Must get there early for lunch to beat the business crowd. Can get loud. It wont blow you away, but given my local options, its a solid choice. I especially like the steak/asparagus salad, wings and burgers. Yum. read more

Got in town later than expected and everything by my hotel was just starting to close (9:45) so I didn't have many options. I've been here one other time and had a decent enough experience so I thought why not... Well the there were zero seats at the bar because of the Cavs game and the restaurant was packed!! Anyway, after not finding a seat I asked the hostess to be seated. Then the wait started... Literally twenty five minutes went by and not one single employee came to my table. I even had everything picked out so that once the waitress came for my drink order I could speed things up by getting my food as well but I never had the opportunity. Had dinner for wing night on 8/2. Service was decent, sat outside and enjoyed the nice weather on the patio. My only complaint was once again ( has happened a few times) we ordered an appetizer and of course not a few minutes after the appetizer came did our dinner. We had a terrible experience and probably won't return. My husband decided to celebrate his birthday at the Winking Lizard. Many little details re problems but finally our food was served. He doesn't usually complain but this time he had no choice. His food was delivered burned and crusty - unappetizing. The waitress said she would bring a new order and pushed the unwanted food to the side. We waited forever - I ate my food and he waited and waited. Finally she returned with an empty box to put his unwanted dinner in. The manager finally showed up and said she would bring him a new dinner! He said he was tired of waiting (an hour plus) - just take it off the check. She said it would only take a few minutes. Nobody really seemed to care. So we waited again. And he brought it home to eat. A weak happy birthday as we left. We paid full price plus an extra dollar for the vegetable. When we questioned the bill, we had to wait and wait for an answer because the waitress was interrupted by other waitresses. So I'm sure we won't return - They didn't seem to care that we warmed their seats for hours. Lots of picky other aggravations but he had to eat his food at home! Reheat it etc. read more

So at 7:00 pm I called in my carry-out order. I was using my phone to look at the menu and saw a new section called "mini sandwiches", so I ordered the mini BBQ pork sandwiches only to be told that they don't have them anymore. Ok so I then ordered the pulled chicken sandwich and a gyro for my husband. I was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I live 20 minutes away, so I left immediately. By 8:00 my order was still not ready. Finally at 8:10 my order came out - with the pulled pork sandwich instead of the pulled chicken sandwich. I asked them to replace it, but alas, I am told they don't have pulled chicken. So I took the pulled pork since it was now 8:20 and I couldn't wait any longer for them to make me something new. I just don't get what people see in this place. The only reason I came here was because Mavis Winkles stopped making gyros, which my husband loves. I have now searched the internet and found that the Chicago Deli in Solon makes gyros, so goodbye to Winking Lizard! Btw, the cole slaw at Winking Lizard is horrid! read more
