It had an odor that was immediately noticeable but thankfully we got used to it pretty quick. Other than that it was a fine, one night stay. The surrounding area has food options and the family that runs it seems nice enough. It was exactly we paid for so we're not mad about it. I would stay here again if I wanted to keep my costs moderate. One good highlight, the lady running the continental breakfast was going out of her way to make us feel welcome and kept the food fresh.

That said, this one is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The "kitchen" area looked like it was put in by a random dude who got secondhand cabinets from Facebook. The hotel was filthy, with caked-in grime in a bunch of places where flooring and bathroom fixtures were badly installed. I felt like I was staying in the hotel version of a catastrophic "home flip." The hotel also required me to pay for the dish set that is typically complementary at Extended Stay hotels, so I couldn't cook any of the food I'd brought without paying half the cost of the room again for pans. The desk staff was particularly dense. I witnessed one of them hand a towel to another guest and say, "They're pretty clean, even if housekeeping left some stains."

The bathroom is beautiful. Huge shower. The only thing I might recommend for the hotel, to avoid a potential falling issue, is either a rubber mat in the shower or some sort of applique on the shower floor because it is a little slippery when it is wet. The bath towel was one of those big fluffy kinds that everyone enjoys. The hand towels and washcloths were not as high quality but were useable. I had read other reviews about the breakfast being sub-par but I found it adequate overall. There is a problem with the waffles though. They need to either use a different batter or refine the recipe. They were a little nasty. I noticed other people who couldn't eat them as well. Not much to recommend about the area it's in. There's a grocery store and a few restaurants in walking distance, but nothing else. If you have a car it would be much more convenient. I wish to thank all the staff and management for making my stay comfortable and enjoyable.

I had tried to modify a 2 night reservation to an 8 night reservation but couldn't, so I cancelled it and booked a new reservation. They charged me for the cancelled reservation and the new one. I sought help from Bonvoy to get a refund and they first submitted it to the wrong hotel somewhere in Georgia. So I had to open a new case again. They decided they would not refund it but never notified me. So I called again and found out and asked them to prove it but they couldn't and then the lady hung up on me. I still have not received any follow up, any proof, or any effort whatsoever to help me. Bonvoy says it all up to the hotel. I called the hotel directly and they said it was all up to Bonvoy. So they stole $255 from a mom trying to take her teens on their first real vacation.

Yes the breakfast is pretty minimal. My friend and I had a nice stay here with a clean room and adequate staff. Front desk and housekeeping were accommodating and friendly. We had a deluxe suite. The bed was comfortable, and the tub in the living room was fun. I had a bad round of altitude sickness, so I was not having a blast. But I felt that the reviews were overall very harsh for what it is. This is not a fancy place, but it was a decent value for the money. I would stay here again.

Even though some of these locations are older buildings they can do a lot more for upkeep would probably not return.

Additionally, there was no notice at check in that the planned maintenance would be occurring. When I asked about the hot tub at check in I was given the hours. When I went to use it, only then was there a sign. The hot tub had been drained and was being painted. Planned maintenance. I was told "It will be ready on Friday." and was still offline at checkout, noon. I was told by the staff "If you want a hot tub, drive over to the community recreation center and buy a day pass." That was customer service: How to work around our bait and switch with additional time, inconvenience and expense. Outrageous. Additionally, my bed sheets had blood on them. The room was run down with poor HVAC. I asked for a late check out and asked for a 1200 noon check out. At 1115 my room door opened by a staff member. I was in my underwear when she barged in and told me check out is 1100, time to leave. I was stunned, I told her I had gotten a noon check out. She just said OH and turned and left. I went through Expedia for help and the property kept telling Expedia "no one is here to make a decision on a refund". Expedia suggested I try to get the refund in person at the property. I did. I found the manager / owner roaming around outside, the front desk unmanned, and he seemed very annoyed to come in and help a customer. I told him I wanted a refund for the hot tub bring out, blood on the sheets, and having staff barge into my room telling me to leave AFTER HE had approved the noon check out. He looked at my stay and the rate for each night. The owner / manager stated "I'll refund you one night." I asked him which night? The owner / manager stated "The last night which with tax was about $135. I accepted and wanted to be done with this poorly maintained and horribly managed rip-off joint. The owner-manager told me he would "Refund my card." and never did. Now 5 days. Expedia finally got in contact and the property said "No refund." In addition to all else the owner / manager lied to me to get me to go away. I treated him with respect and as a gentleman. Sorely misplaced.
