I'm a little torn because they made such a turnaround that I gave them a high review. People are still friendly, food comes out generally accurate. The speed of service is worse than terrible. I've been waiting over 20 minutes and still 3 cars in front of me to order. Seems the last several times I've been here they have been doing 1 car at a time to fudge service time numbers. I've seen 5 cars behind me, 3 left and replaced with new cars. It's not even that busy. Bring something to do, you'll make a day trip of it. read more

This probably the worst location I've ever been to. They are ALWAYS extremely slow even when there aren't that many customers and they do not care. They put no effort into speeding up. I just waited over 12 minutes for an iced coffee. Just to walk in and see it just sitting on the counter and nobody knew anything about it when I went inside to get it myself. Then they consistently try to charge extra for sauces that COME ON THE SANDWICH or don't even bother to put the sauce on the sandwich at all. They need to get it together. read more

Ordered a double quarter pounder with cheese. They served me a single. Lost like $3 on that transaction and it was the only real fast food for miles. Also slow service. The place is positioned right by a state highway, so these kinds of errors are actually a big deal. read more

No issues on my visit. Placed my order via the kiosk and received my food rather quickly. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious for a McDonald's. The staff was very courteous; however, the dining area wasn't the cleanest but I was getting my food to go so I'm not deducting any stars. Like every other fast food place they can't seem to staff this location. Lobby is supposed to close at 9 on Sundays and the app lets you mobile order and select pick up in lobby. That's hard to do when the lobby is locked at 815pm and the app isn't updated. Turns out they'd let you in, one by one, if you showed your mobile order or were a door dash driver. That slowed things down a lot, so it's not fast food but it's cheap and open. The staff are friendly, just doing twice the work with half the people. Order was correct, hot and fresh. read more

I swore I would never go back to the McDonalds in Brenham, Texas, at least three months ago or maybe 4-months ago! I just got tired of my orders being wrong and the employees working the drive-thru windows being rude and having a don't give a S--T attitude! The digital order screen was black when I drove thru 3 or 4 months ago and guess what, today 12-15-24 it is still out of order! This slows down the drive-thru as expected! It took almost 30 minutes from when I got in line until I pulled away with my order! Credit is due; they did get my order correct! You can just let your restaurant go to hell when you're the only McD's in a small town. Brenham welcomed a new Chick-fil-A a couple of months ago, and their service and quality for a drive-thru breakfast is 10+. read more

Stopped here along a road trip and unless you want to wait 30 mins, get your order messed up and wait an additional 30 mins for a small coffee I would go somewhere else. So I'm writing this sitting in drive thru waiting on an iced coffee. Two cars in front of me, no big order it appeared passed to vehicle. 12 mins. Then, when I get to window, they informed me they were out of the flavoring, but substituted if for another. I said I didn't want it. She gave it to me free of charge for the mix up. On top of that, I had a free drink coming due to their rewards program, and not knowing the order was to be comp'd, their system glitches and I lost my free one. Friday June 7 @8:30pm Absolutely horrible. First and last visit to this location. I placed what I thought was a relatively simple order. 2 bacon mcdoubles add jalapenos. Lrg fry and lrg coke Fish filet add cheese and pickles (because I know it only comes with a half of a slice of cheese). Lrg fry lrg diet coke. Simple enough. You'd think. I received my order. missing the slice of cheese and pickles on the fish sandwich. Also missing the second order of fries. When I brought my order back to the counter the shift lead asked for my receipt. I informed her I didn't receive on. She said she cant give me anything until I give her a receipt. Also refused to reprint my receipt for me. At this point I was frustrated. The person that was riding with us ordered right behind me. 2 mcdoubles pickles and ketchup only. Lrg fries and lrg drink. His received order 2 mcdoubles onions ,pickles and no ketchup and no cheese. To which their reply was to remake it he would have to wait another 15 mins. When I at this point asked to speak to the manager I was informed she was eating and is not to be bothered. At this before I came unglued inside this store I walked out. We just left this place and left all of our food on their table. I ordered a MacJr when they finally gave it to me i realized they missed the pickles and the cheese so I went back to the counter and very nicely asked for my order to be corrected. Well the guy takes back my burger and on the side theres a mirror and I see the man in the back wearing blue gloves sticks his hand down his butt and then handles my food after The wort part and that did it a second time and I immediately told the the person on the register while this guy is walking back out to hand me my burger!!! This Mc Donald's is Horrible. I just got ripped off there. Gave the lady at the drive thru a twenty and they shorted me 10 dollars of my change. Listen it's not about the money, there is s principle here that this location misses. Been that way a long time. All the locals know it, I just took a chance.....again. Rather stupid of me. Customers, especially drive-through customers ~ be sure to carefully count your change before you leave! The employee working the drive -through window appears to have a scam going. I caught it before I drove off and went in and demanded my correct change, but this location gets mostly out of town business since it's on a very busy highway so no telling how many people this has happened to. She's not ripping off McDonald's directly as her register will still balance at the end of the day, but she's stealing from customers. In my case, I handed her $11.02 for a $6.02 order so all she had to do was hand me back a $5 bill. She handed me ones instead, which I thought was strange but maybe she was out of $5's. I pulled up and counted my change; she'd given me 4 ones, not 5. Then I looked at my receipt. She's rung up the amount I gave her as $10.02, not $11.02, so when she gave me back $4 her register would still balance, but that extra $1 must have gone straight into her pocket. I saw something like this mentioned in a previous review from years ago and the store owner didn't correct it, so it may be an ongoing situation. Honestly my experience doesn't even deserve 1 star. Husband and I just stopped by this McD's while traveling from Houston to Austin. As we did not want to park and go inside, we went up to the drive through "order board" expecting to hear "Welcome to McDonalds. May I take your order?" Instead, we got zero/zip/nothing but silence. Husband started saying "hello?" Silence. Said "hello" 4 more X. Silence. Ok plan B: Drive forward to window. Car ahead of ours getting 2 ice cream cones finally leaves. Lady at the window takes our order. Well not really...not the order we were there for. She says "you want grilled ckn snack wraps? We don't have grilled. We are out." Ok then we will take a double cheeseburger and a home style burger. Wait... Wait... Wait... Wait... Finally, we are handed the bag and, we drive away. But surprise---Got a single cheeseburger...not the double I ordered. Have never ever ever ever... Did I say NEVER EVER had an experience at a McD's...and mind you, I have been eating at McD's for 40 plus years. ...going back to the '60's. Bun wasn't even centered onto the patty. If this is a franchise, the owner needs to know I had the worst experience EVER at his McD today---and next time I'm driving from Houston to Austin, I'll keep driving on past this place.
