This time they were out to replace a sump pump. James communicated when he was coming, arrived on time, and did the job quickly. He was friendly and talked at my level. The one company that will will take me on will not write in a water sewer backup clause, and there is no way I would not have that coverage. Due to the bathtub faucet not being put back together correctly, I had flooding in my kitchen, bedroom closet and master bathroom. Because the tile could not be matched, the entire bathroom had to be redone. Not only did I have 6 months of disruption/construction in my house, I'm now going to pay more in insurance and I don't have the ability to change my insurance without high risk to me financially. I do not recommend this company. Nobody ever reached out to me after the damage, however they did call the Flood Pros without telling me that they had done so when I called in a panic on a Saturday night. The initial reason I called them was to fix an bathtub faucet that was dripping in the tub, and I ended up with a disaster.

Since all of our homes were built around the same time, I assumed my water heater was also 17 years old and might need replacement soon. After I sent photos of my water heater and the model details, Ti took the time to look up the serial/model number on the Bradford White website and discovered that my unit was actually only 11 years old, not 17 as I had thought. He texted me back and asked for clearer photos to confirm the manufacturing date. I called him right away, and even though I currently have no issues with my water heater, he generously spent time explaining everything in detail. He told me that Bradford White is a very reliable water heater and that this model generally does not require routine tank draining for maintenance. He also gave me valuable advice for the future, recommending that when I eventually replace the unit, I should install it on a metal drain pan with moisture detection for leak protection. I was genuinely impressed by his honesty, knowledge, and willingness to help without trying to sell me something I don't need right now. He could have easily pushed for a replacement, but instead he gave me thoughtful, professional advice and saved me unnecessary expense. I truly appreciate the time he spent helping me over the phone, and I would absolutely recommend Sutherland to anyone looking for an honest and knowledgeable professional.

While in our crawl space, they noticed a dryer duct had come unhooked - and fixed it while they were working. I really appreciate that this company never tries to upsell and shoots straight when it comes to what is a critical repair and what can wait. They also give you a range of options that don't break the bank. These specialists are truly special.

So if you imagine if a lot of pressure occurred, the pipe separated and sprayed out water. NICE. He cleaned EVERYTHING up (and I'm picky AF y'all) there was NO trace of him being there except that the kitchen plumbing worked!!! Woohoo!!! Side note - plumbers make bank y'all it's not AI yet and I can't imagine it will be for a LONG time. If you need a job think about SKILLS like this. They were true professionals and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone needing Plumbing help. After all, this is NOT an issue you CAN put off but you want the best people out there to help you. Their quote came in the lowest and Brandon was extremely helpful on the phone, so I ended up choosing them. - The quote process was great: I submitted their online form, they gave me a call asking for more details, I sent them a few pictures, and they gave me another call with solutions and a quote. The quote also happened to be the cheapest of the 3 companies I got bids from. - The installation went very smoothly. I understand that direct vent water heaters are a little tricky to install, but Brandon installed perfectly. He arrived on time, got rid of our old water heater, and added a new water heater with several fixes: the overflow pipe now runs to the sink, he used a "flex vent" kit so the water heater can sit on the ground, and he put the water heater in a tray to reduce issues from slow leaks since I don't have a basement drain. - After the install, Brandon taught me how to change the temp / turn the water heater off / how to flush it / how to change the anode rod. Very pleased with the work and my new water heater is working flawlessly. The only downside was that there was no permit. I'm no expert on permits. Portland's website says that water heater changes require a permit. Brandon said it's a "gray area" for residential. I am not planning on selling the house and things looked good to me, so I don't mind too much.

I almost fell for this trick. But as he pressed me to make an appointment, he asked me what kind of a/c unit I have, which is an odd question for someone who has worked on our equipment previously. I then asked him directly, "Have I done business with you before?" No response. So I asked again. No response. It turns out, I have no record of doing business with Conrad Heating & Cooling, because we have never done business with this company! I told him I would not be scheduling anything with Conrad. This representative didn't even know what type of unit we have, confirming there was no prior relationship. The familiar tone of the initial text was a deliberate tactic to create a false sense of trust. And I find that very offensive! I'd encourage other homeowners, especially seniors who are frequently targeted by this kind of approach, to read unsolicited texts carefully. If a company implies they've worked with you before, ask specific questions before agreeing to anything. In this case, the deception became obvious very quickly.

I've worked with HD before, and have had no issue, so I think they are fine I have no beef with them. Fusion gave a detailed quote of all items to be replaced and the model of water heater. The quote included new water hoses (stainless steel) , new gas hose, new earthquake straps, the addition of an expansion tank (which I think is now required for code). Everything that the job needed was on the quote. Baring unforeseen issues (which happen) I knew exactly what the cost was going to be. Some of the items may have not absolutely needed replacement, but you don't want a $30 hose to ruin a $800 water heater (which is what happened to my last water heater and why we are here today). The solution provided was complete. HD may have had a less expensive quote, but it would have gone up, so I think in the end HD was not really a better price. Given the good reviews online and detailed quote at what I felt was a fair price, the job went to fusion. From inquiry to initial response was very quick, a couple of hours maybe. All communication was timely. Install date was set for three days after my inquiry. The day of the install they were a little late, but I got a text communicating that and an arrival time. I appreciated that very much. When they showed John introduced himself, very polite, nice guy. Then they went to work. They completed the job in a few hours. They left the work area clean and removed the old water heater. The install was beautiful, I know it's a water heater, but damn it was a clean install. Fusion gets five stars. There is no aspect of this job that I can suggest a need for improvement. Price: Five Stars, since the price was close to HD, I feel that I paid a fair price Communication: Five Stars, responsive and let me know they were running late Install: five stars, you can just tell that they paid attention to detail and did a clean job. I feel that I didn't pay a premium for that attention to detail. Attitude: five stars, John's a really nice guy Thank you Fusion, I really appreciate the quality of the job you did.
