This place is my favorite pizza place around! There are so many options to choose from, but my family usually gets the Godfather Supreme or the margherita pizza, both which are delicious! They also have really good pasta and salads, and you can't go wrong with their garlic knots ;) Also, they have a great beer selection, with the option of pitchers, making it a fun and easy place to watch sports games with friends. The service is also great! The people here are all young and friendly, and food is ready pretty fast when you eat in store. It can take a little longer if you get it togo, but nothing too over the top. The atmosphere is very much laid-back with a typical pizza place vibe, offering a large bar and some arcade games in the back. It's a great place for groups (if you get there early enough to claim a table), and good for kids as well if you have them. Overall, love this place!! :) read more

Live up the street, used to come here when they opened and my family and I stopped over the years because of crappy crappy service. These kids that work at this shopping center have negative service skills, seriously. Milano pizza is good, the apple salad is awesome but toppings are too inconsistent (sometimes you get enough, sometimes it's all lettuce) and the beer is fine. Pazooki is alright, but rock solid on some occasions. I celebrated 4 birthdays here before they went real downhill and I thought it was good in my teenage self but that was also before the rush of rude El Modena and SCC kids took over. I did a search for the highest rated pizza place near St. Joseph's Hospital in Orange I went with the thin crust, and I have to say that I was disappointed. The Garlic knots were pretty good, but the pizza itself was well below what I would call world class. The dough was not crispy on the outside / chewy on the inside like it SHOULD be, Crust was flat on the outside edge, cheese and sauce was better than the dough, but not enough to make up for the uninspired crust I'm a bit of a food snob, but to put some perspective on my opinion, I was born in Queens, NY - and a NYC slice is my idea of pizza perfection. My favorite pizza places in the west are Folliero's in LA at 5566 Figueroa, NYPD Pizza in Corona (believe it) and my favorite is in Las Vegas by UNLV, called Cuginos The bill was around $30 for garlic knots, a large cheese pizza with roasted garlic on half, and 2 Bottles of IBC root beer. Way too much money for a pizza that was not quantifiably better than pappa johns delivery. Sorry to be harsh, but I calls 'em like I sees 'em. Came here last night, and I was quite happy with the pizza and the service. We ordered the Pesto pizza with artichokes, pine nuts, and sun dried tomatoes. It was flavorful, the ingredients were fresh, and I was very happy with it. I also had a house salad which was nothing to write home about, but it was fresh and it was what it needed to be. The nice girl who took our order recommended that I get ranch AND honey mustard, which I thought was an odd combination, but it was actually quite good. My only complaint was that maybe the price was like $2 too much, but not too far out of line, especially considering that wholesale food prices are as high as they are right now. I'm sure the food is good but it was so LOUD with all of the TVs turned on FULL, that we couldn't enjoy a conversation OR the food. This wasn't advertised as a Sports Bar, and yet... the noise level is ridiculous! The clientele dining in are an older crowd - either they are hard of hearing, or the young people working here are. Finally got around to trying this place last week. Got there around 4pm on a Friday and the place was pretty mellow. Just a couple 'regulars' at the bar. Ordered a small pizza, garlic knots, 2 house salads, 1 beer and 1 soda for $37. Seemed a little pricey for a pizzeria in a strip mall. Decided to sit out front because the place is loud, even tho there weren't many people inside it seemed to echo pretty loud in there and for some reason they have their phone volume turned up to MEGA+100 so the phone rings LOUD!! and nonstop on Friday. Garlic knots were awesome! Salads were good. Pizza was totally average. Nothing special. Service was just "OK". People sure weren't overly friendly. Interesting to sit out front and watch the OPA people doing their thing. Where else in OC can you sit and eat pizza while you watch a lady walking a baby lamb through the strip mall and 2 others riding their horses through the middle of the parking lot!? I've had a lot of encounters with this place. The best advice I can give is to eat there! The takeout and delivery just doesn't taste the same. This place gets mobbed on the weekend. We called for pickup on Saturday night and the wait was 90 minutes...for pick up. It can become not worth it. Go early and order early if you can. You will avoid a lot of headache. The pizza is ok. It's kind of hit or miss. The salads are good, and the wings are good and if you like them hot then this is for you! Delivery is also hit or miss. We ordered once, and we live right down the street, and it took them over 2 hours to deliver, even after we called to see what the heck was going on. The estimate was 45 minutes. Again, eat it there. This place is a staple in our lives. I grew up in Orange Park Acres and used to walk to Wise Guys for lunch with my brother. And now we go there as a family all the time to enjoy the food, the environment and the great staff. Anytime there's a good game on we will head there and enjoy our dinner while watching. They have gluten free pizza crust, which is great for me. I will always get that. My family loves the pastas, garlic bread knots and cinnamon bread knots (for dessert of course). My favorite menu item and one you WILL want to try is the appetizer Goat Cheese and Marinara. It is the BOMB!! So when I feel like being bad (gluten wise) or introducing Wise Guys to friends, we will always order this as a great first impression. Never had a bad experience there! read more

My friends and I began eating here during the summer and it all began as a fluke; what a wonderful fluke! The menu is extensive but we mainly stick to the pizza because we're fatties and the pizza here is awesome. On Wednesdays they have the family meal which consists of a salad, pizza, cinnamon twists, and a pitcher of soda all for the amazing prize of $19.99. Now, I know that may sound like and infomercial announcement but, seriously, you gotta go! They also have a great selection of beers and yeah there's the mandatory bud-light (meh!) but the other beers' quality make-up for that lapse in judgment. The vibe is pretty chill. It's an eclectic place where students, families, and young folks hang out without the snootiness. One can hang at the bar or enjoy drinks and a meal at the tables. This is one of those places I never would have found if it hadn't been for Yelp. I love you, Yelp. The lunch special if a great deal. It comes with either a jumbo slice of pizza, spaghetti, or half a sandwich with a green salad and a humongous drink for $5.99. The cheese pizza and Hot Italian sandwich were super tasty, and the salad was a definite step above the "out of the bag" stuff. The service was great also. So there we were on a Sunday afternoon recovering from a long Saturday night of drinking, and we all thought that waching the final game of the world cup and pizza sounded good. Regular customer here, but will be reevaluating after today. I like the food, the pizza, and sandwiches are great, service is a bit slow but they get busy. Today as were were seated inside, a party arrived with a HUGE dog, and sat inside the restaurant, instead of doing the classy thing and sitting outside. Not a healthy or sanitary thing to do, and a total shelfish disregard for others there dining. At one point the dog was lying on the floor totally blocking the entry/exir door, the animal was huge. As it lay there it drooled on the floor and when it sat up it drooled on the table, the table that patrons eat on. As we dined the dog occasionally barked - classy. Filthy and disgusting. I asked our server if they allow animals in the business, and the reply was that they are very animal friendly. ?? After I left, I called the restaurant but was told the manager was busy and unavailable. I like animals too, but I leave my drooling barking animas at home, where they belong. Superb California style pizza (not New York style which is thinner and typically not crisp, nor Chicago which is very thick crust). Excellent combinations and stellar ingredients. The atmosphere is also very nice and geared more towards a Chicago style decor. This is a comfortable place to eat your pizza and the very best quality I have found in OC thus far. I went to his place to watch the NCAA championship game. Needless to say it was busy and loud. Not necessarily a bad thing! They have a nice selection of beer on tap including some craft brews that I was surprised to see from Bootleggers as well as Great White! Yum. Wines are also a good option as they are pretty heavy handed with pours. The pizzas look on point and tasty. Garlic knots are addicting and delectable, I ate my share with some ranch. The specialty pizzas you'll find here are like no other restaurant offerings. They have names that will have you thinking of "The Godfather" & "Good Fellas." I am a fan of shrimp so I tried "Cement Shoes." The white wine & lemon sauce with marinated shrimp & capers were so surprising in their nuanced & delicate flavors that my teenage boys begged me to order a second pizza just for them. We came for lunch today and we were pleasantly surprised at how good everything was. The house salad was fresh and crispy with plenty of goodies on it. The garlic knots were the best I have had. Not sure where to start on our experience with Wise Guys Pizza tonight. I have never written a review on a restaurant before but this time I couldn't keep quiet! From placing the phone order, to receiving the food, to calling management every stage was more frustrating and disappointing than the last. The management is curt and rude, the staff was clueless and clearly the cooks are over worked and understaffed. This is our 3rd time giving them a try and the 3rd time was definitely not a charm! Wiseguys Pizza was a place I kept seeing and every time I did I would "I need to try that place" and I finally got around to it. I like the vibe this placed had. Sat at the bar with the wife and was greeted with the friendly bartender. Told her it was our 1st time and she gave us recommendations on what to order. I noticed the chalk board of beers on tap and was happy too see a line up of good brews on tap. We ordered the wings too start. Good size wings with a great kick and a hint of horse radish. My wife and both got a pizza I grabbed the flame thrower pizza. The pie was good but I was expecting something with a little more kick to it. Again it was good but if I got it again I would ask for extra jalapenos to give it the heat that I like. Needless to say I will be back here as the friendly environment, nice selection of brew and some tasty food is a winning combo. We eat or order here nearly every week. Food is very good, pizza is pretty close to an average NY pizza. Staff is pleasant, delivery is fast. Why 3 stars then? Because you never get what you order. In 3 years, the food has been right only a handful of times. Sometimes it a little something like wrong salad dressing but sometimes it completely wrong. The best pizza in Orange, hands down! Possibly the best in Orange County. The marinated mushrooms on the pizza are the best thing I've ever tasted on a pizza. They pile on the toppings and the quality is excellent. Good salads, really good in-house made salad dressings: try the Gorgonzola dressing. The appetizers are very good, especially the one where you pick two toppings and it's like a mini pizza sandwich: 8 pieces. It's not cheap, but who wants another cheap pizza joint! It's worth every penny and I'd say it's a good value. The dining room is noisy, but when the weather is right you can sit outside. Wiseguys is my favorite pizza. read more

Is youse a wise guy? I want to do this whole review in the voice of Joe Pesci, but I feel the language would get it taken down pretty quick. Lunch time as Wise Guys. Small pizzerias are usually fairly good quality pizzas, so I was excited about this spot. We were here with some friends so there was opportunity to see everything they had to offer. Let me run down each food item I had the opportunity to try: -Garlic knots: Truly the best garlic knots I have had. They actually taste like garlic knots, and not burnt pieces of dough. They also get them baked just right so the outside is crisp but it's still soft inside. -Fettuccine Alfredo: My wife adored this pasta, mostly because unlike some restaurant they actually give you a good amount of sauce. I wasn't as big of a fan, but I did think it was good. A solid dish. -Calzone: Okay...guy behind the counter? What are you doing? My wife and I were going to share this one, and I told him so. I told him we were sharing this and the pasta, and what size should we get for two people sharing these things. He told me to get a medium. Medium is huge. Medium is too much. It was good (little too cheesy at times), but it was too much. Toppings were pepperoni, hot sausage, and bacon. Hot sausage was good, pepperoni is what it is, and bacon added nothing. -Cinnamon knots: Very good. Surprisingly good. Reminded me of snake bread from back in the scouts (I don't know if that's a well known thing, but I'm sticking with that comparison). Not too sweet, and the same consistency as the garlic knots. ...no, I didn't try the pizza. I can't comment on that. Yes...yes I understand I have let you all down. I might upgrade this rating to 4 stars in the future as I think I just caught them on an off-night last night (Halloween). I called in my order at 5:10 and told them I'd be there in 1/2 hour (figured it might be done earlier) but was told it'd be 40 minutes. That's fine, I can wait a few extra minutes. I did show up in 30, paid for the pizza and was told it'd be a few minutes. Perfect, right on schedule. 20 minutes later, I'm told it'll be another 20 minutes, putting the pizza 30 minutes behind schedule. They offered me a free soda while I waited, but I declined and purchased a beer instead. Luckily, this place has a great selection of local craft brew on tap! While waiting, watching MNF and drinking a fine pumpkin ale, I heard from the back that they ran out of pizza. Yes, a pizza place ran out of pizza. Now, to their credit, it sounds like this is the first time it's ever happened, so I don't think it's a recurring problem, but combined with my pizza being delayed 30 minutes, I can't rate this establishment any higher right now. As for the food, the pizza was solid, nothing special, but I am going to try some of their other options and think that the spicy marinara definitely sounds intriguing. The garlic knots were some of the best I've had - great flavor and not too greasy. The salad (basic as it was) was also quite tasty. All in all, I'll be giving them another shot or two, and I definitely will come back and update this rating if they prove that this one night was just an anomaly. read more

I think its super difficult to find good pizza in So Cal...This place gives great pizza hopelessness a chance... I'd say its very close to be being considered good NY pizza. The sauce is spot on yummy, crust (ask for thin) is perfect and the array of toppings is first rate. The veggie was sooooooo veggielicious, LOVED IT! The salads are really creative and good! Came here last Saturday for a friend's birthday dinner with a group of about 15and everything worked out very nicely! 1. Pizza My side of the table tried 3 different types: flamethrowers spicy pizza, the godfather and the rocky graciano. Out of the three, my favorite was definitely the flamethrowers pizza. As a lover of spiciness, this pizza delivered a great KICK that i really enjoyed! My least favorite was the rocky graciano. This is a white sauce pizza, so I really missed the flavor of the marinara sauce. That's just my preference though. 2. Garlic Knots SO good. It's a lot of carbs, but freakin' treat yoself!! 3. Cinnamon Knots Okay, so they forgot about one of our orders. We let them know of the mistake, so they brought these out to us for free, and let me tell you... I have never been more happy that someone messed up on our order, because without that small mishap, I would've never met these delectable, sugar coated carb balls. These pretty much are small knots of cinnamon rolls DRENCHED in icingy-cinnamoness (I make up my own words sometimes, bite me!) I don't think I would actively go out of my way to come here all the time, but I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a place for a big group.
