    Cubano Sandwich
    Sean P.

What a cozy place, a small place with a wide selection of food and beverages. This is what I ordered! House buffalo chicken wings - The size of the wing was quite large. It was definitely great value for its price. The wing was perfectly fried. The meat was tender and the skin was crispy while coated nicely with the buffalo sauce. I don't usually get buffalo sauce, but since it was homemade, I had to try it. Let me tell you, this is one of my favorite sauces now. The buffalo sauce was tangy with a kick. The sauce wasn't overpowering at all. It had a well-rounded flavor. Cubano Sandwich - The sandwich was enough to share between 2 people. The bread was airy with a nice toasted crust. Everything in the sandwich was laid beautifully. It had a great ratio between the meat, the vegetable, and the sauce. However, I think there was a bit too much mustard. The mustard was overpowering the rest of the flavor. All and all, the food here was really good. I paired my meal with a pint. It was perfect. The service was also really great. If you enjoy bar food and beer, I recommend this place!

We left the hotel looking for a decent dinner and we found a great one! Lots of choices, including interesting specials. Friendly, attentive wait staff and a casual, bar/restaurant atmosphere that was exactly what we were seeking.

Where do I start... this was a staple in my college routine. I lived upstairs and became so friendly with the owner, Mike. Wise guys employees are friendly, warm and make you feel like family. I used to come downstairs before going out and mike would always help me fuel my stomach with the best sandwiches, soup, wings, salad and their homemade bread. I could go on and on about how much I admire Mike as a business owner and a friend, but I know everyone wants to hear about the food. Well first of all, I have never had a single bad thing from here and I continue to try new sandwiches every time I visit my alma mater. I even brought my boyfriend here and he always says how good the bread and their chicken cutlets are. Every sandwich is unique and delicious in its own way. The salads are great too! Wings are nice and crispy, fries are perfectly fried and the desserts they often have are to die for. If you've driven through oneonta without getting a wise guys sandwich, you have absolutely done something wrong. 10/10 would recommend!

Best bread around. The 3 times I've been there though, the sandwich fillings were a little sparse.

In town for a baseball tournament. After checking in to the hotel the kiddos wanted some grub. We…read morewalked up and down Main St. to see what we could find only to find only a few spots open. This place was crowded! Just at a glance looked like it was just another New york style pizza joint, by now I've had 4 different slices from four different places I thought how different could it be. They had a good variety on the menu. We ended up ordering wings, chicken ceasar wrap, chicken tenders, slice of pepperoni and just for the hell of it their upside down pizza (cheese first them topped with sauce). Let me tell you this place didn't disappoint whatsoever!! Wings were on point, we asked for well done, they were crispy, sauce was perfect. Ceasar wrap was delish, lettuce was fresh, not stingy on the chicken at all. It was light and refreshing. Pizza, my son said it was the best pizza he's had this trip. The chicken tenders, well they were pretty standard to my 9 year olds liking. The upside down pizza was the biggest shocker, this thing was crispy and loaded with flavor!! I'll be back for another slice before the trip is over for sure. We differently won't forget about this place.

Absolutely INCONCEIVABLE how amazing this place is! We…read morerecently stayed in the area for a youth baseball tournament in Cooperstown and ended up eating here THREE nights in a row--that is how phenomenal it is. The food is incredible. The owner and chef is immensely talented, serving up fresh, farm-to-table dishes. Because everything is so fresh, the specifics change nightly, but everything we ordered was a huge win. The beef carpaccio was dynamite, and the Prosciutto Pizza, house-made focaccia bread, "farm goodies," bolognese, hangar steak, and caprese ravioli were all absolutely delicious. You can taste the quality and care in every single bite. (Sorry no pics...we were too busy eating!) Beyond the stellar food, the cocktail menu is an absolute blast. They have a whole lineup of delicious, creative craft drinks with "The Princess Bride" themed names! Trying the different drinks became half the fun of our dinners. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the service. We had a server named Beth whom we absolutely loved. By the third night, she knew exactly what my daughter wanted to drink as soon as we sat down! The owners and the entire staff are warm, welcoming, and treat you like family. If you are anywhere near Oneonta or Cooperstown, do yourself a huge favor and eat here. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town!

This is a perfect example of why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. From the outside, the…read morerestaurant is a bit unusual. It's an older house painted red with black trim, featuring a newer deck that, at least when we visited, had no furniture on it. At first glance, you might assume it's a neighborhood sports bar or a casual local hangout. Step inside, however, and you'll find something completely different. The atmosphere is warm, intimate, and inviting, with a classic dining ambiance that makes it feel like a hidden gem tucked away in the neighborhood. We were in Oneonta for Cooperstown All Star Village and were excited to discover this cozy farm-to-table restaurant. The food was excellent, and the setting made for a memorable dining experience. We started with the Crab Puffs, made with empanada dough, crab rangoon filling, and a jalapeño-green onion emulsion. They were creative, flavorful, and a great way to begin the meal. For our entrée, we shared the daily fish special, halibut served with farm-fresh potatoes and carrots. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the fresh ingredients really showcased the farm-to-table concept. The dish was simple, fresh, and delicious. To finish the meal, we shared the Crème Brûlée for dessert. It was outstanding, with a perfectly caramelized sugar crust and a rich, creamy custard that provided the perfect ending to an excellent dinner. Despite the restaurant being packed, we were seated immediately and received excellent service throughout the evening. The staff was attentive, friendly, and kept everything running smoothly. The drink menu was another highlight, offering a solid selection of craft beers, wines, and cocktails. Overall, this was one of the best meals we had during our trip. Great food, excellent service, a cozy atmosphere, and a unique setting make this restaurant well worth seeking out if you're in Oneonta.
