I placed the order online for pickup. When I got there I was immediately greeted and they told me my order was almost ready, and said that they were getting my fries extra crispy (I had put that in as a request). We ordered the corn dog for my daughter, Italian beef dry, with sweet and hot peppers added, and the double gyro plate. Additionally I ordered extra fries as it wasn't clear that they were included in the meals (they were). My Italian beef was huge for the price and my husband loved the gyro plate. Yummy! I took the food out the bag and I could smell the seasonings! I was excited to take a bite! First, good customer service all around. I was greeted pleasantly at the drive-thru intercom and again good customer service at the window. Food came out in a reasonable time. The gyro sandwich was delicious! Tons of meat and the perfect amount of sauce. The fries were very good and seasoned well. I'm subtracting one star because the fries at the bottom of fry bag were undercooked and soggy. I came here to try their Italian beef sandwiches and the Chicago dog. Both were very good. The Italian beef was huge for the $7.5 price tag. Probably a 7 inch sandwich. It came with lots of flavorful roast beef and I added sweet and hot peppers for $1. Best upgrade every. This sandwich was flavorful and spicy. There were some jalapeños on it. You could have it dry or dunked. I elected for Au jus. It is pictured, although i had taken 2 bites out of the sandwich. The Chicago dog was good. The bun was a little softer than others I have had. The dog was spot on. The baklava looked good but I wasn't that hungry. I'll have to try the gyros next time. They can out to the table next to me and it looked and smelled scrumptious. I can't get over how clean they keep this place. It has been a progression over many visits. But the bathroom was immaculate. The floors immaculate. Don't miss out on this place. read more

Been driving past thinking have to try this place. I'm a long time Chicago resident been transplanted to STL about ten years now and miss our traditional Chicago Hot Dog restaurants. Wise guys is close to authentic, it is very clean inside, staff is courteous, and service was great. My wife's Gyros was spot on, the cheese fries loose a point for using Nacho Cheese not Cheddar as they would in Chicago-town. My friend had an Italian Sausage Sandwich and the sausage was exceptional. I tried the Italian beef which was a bit of a let down. As it was something far too processed. Another let down was the sausage and beef were served on a French roll instead of traditional Tuscany Italian bread which we learned is an option but being from Chicago expected it as normal. We will go back for sure but skip the beef sandwich. read more

Two words: PIZZA PUFF. If you're not from Chicago, you may not understand how exciting it is to find a pizza puff in Swansea. We ordered a bunch of classics- Maxwell, beef, spud, curds, fries. We gave the food a general 3 stars. It was ok! One note is that the gravy was wrong. This gravy was kind of clear like a consommé whereas Chicago gravy is much more concentrated. Space is super clean, and customer service was 5 stars. Patient, informative, checked in, order was right. 3 for the food but the service gave a whole extra star. read more

Had to give a star, but I suppose "taste" was edible enough. Awful, absolutely awful experience through UberEats mobile delivery. Gyros came with meat only, missing the onions and PITA BREAD. I ordered four (an order of 3 gyros and an order of 1), & I received two boxes of meat alone. I also ordered a kids meal and the fries were cold, but tasted nice. I'm disappointed because my expectations were much higher than what I received. Had I been given what I ordered, with the appropriate approach to the cooking and packaging, I wouldve been able to have a nice meal. Everything was stuffed in one small paper bag that broke (4 holes) during delivery. Please consider somewhere else (like Super Gyros). read more

This is a new place, and I noted some people saying the food is good and portions are big. Well I wanted to try something small get a feel for the place, so I ordered a SMALL Greek Salad. First I will say I gave a two star because the salad was tasty, but when they say small they are NOT understating at all. The one thing that was not SMALL was the cost. For a salad that fit into a sandwich sized container I was Charged $7.62 (Now keep in mind this has no protein, just a salad). Also you would think they would have Greek dressing for the Greek Salad, but no they have some weird onion-garlic house dressing that was mediocre at best. If this is the cost of a salad I have no intention of spending my hard earned money in a place that is extremely over priced. Next time I want a Salad, Chef or whatever including protein I will driver few minutes further and go to FLETCHERS KITCHEN and for a few bucks more get a Salad that would feed my family. This place is a joke, and I would think it will be short lived in todays economy. Go any place but here, and get what you pay for. read more

Drove up with a full dining room and a full drive thru at 7PM to a cone blocking the way, went inside and told they are no longer accepting orders. Asked why and just repeated that they are no longer accepting orders, while I can clearly see food is still being made behind them. I'm hoping to update this review and come in the middle of the day sometime but as a new place they should ensure hours are adjusted on both the door and your google info. Used Door Dash for the order - First time getting food from Wise Guys. Double Gyro plate is a definite go-to and was probably enough for 3. The meat and sauce were both amazing! Italian Beef Sandwich and Poppers were average. Stay clear of the potato skins - probably the worst I've ever had. They are wedges smothered in canned cheese and those grade school imitation bacon bits that are red, crunchy and tasteless. Needless to say, they went in the trash. 1st time visit to Wise Guys in Belleville IL. I was born and raised in Chicago and grew up eating Italian beefs. I moved to Mt Vernon IL in 1999 and have so missed the Italian food. I drive back to Chicago and bring the food back for my family in a large cooler. Today I discovered Wise Guys. I honestly did not expect much but boy was I pleasantly surprised! The dipped Italian beed with sweet and hot peppers was PERFECT! I am tough to.please when it comes to beefs but will definitely be back here for another! No complaints at all about the food. Employee did tell me he would. Do our military veterans discount and faiked to do so but other than that the experience was a v we y good one. I doubt I will ever try their other food to be able to review it as Im sure I will have eyes for the Italian beef every time I am fortunate enough to eat here. Dont hesitate to give this place a try. Cost us $28+ which is a bit pricey especially since didnt receive my discount but at least the meals we received were very good. read more

Went in Saturday night and ordered dinner to go. Supporting small business Saturday and really wanted a gyro! The kitchen and dining room are very clean, and someone was cleaning the grill in between cooking. Impressive for a fast food place. We got the gyro, chicken gyro, veggie pita, fries, and gyro fries. Super fresh and flavorful, we wanted to eat all the fries on the way home My favorite was the veggie pita (added some fries in there too) that sauce and feta, yum! My husband loved his gyro and just wanted more sauce. Next time we want to try the grilled chicken pita and Philly. Nice to have gyro place on this side of the river and the drive thru will be handy when the weather is bad. read more
