We only hired their services as one of our friends recommended them, so we did not do a through research as one should when hiring movers. When we managed to do some research about the business it was too late, their craigslist ad shows pictures of some great reviews written about them but by themselves on Google Docs, the one star reviews posted matches with the ordeal we suffered by hiring them. They claim to be "professional" but they show up late, take frequent "5 minutes" break that lasts for 20 minutes and they reek of marijuana. When they do show up there is no dolly or other items to lift stuff up and will shove your items around like they are working for free. This company's bar is so low their definition of job well done is "at least we didn't run away with your stuff." They will give you a different quote over the phone and will demand for more money once they load half the truck. They deal in CASH ONLY and will not present receipt for expenses such as gas, truck rental and will refuse to give your deposit back. AKA "Local Moving Pros" on Craigslist in Syracuse. Very poor service. If you talk to Bob...run! Could not meet on the day we scheduled. We moved all the boxes on that day, and negotiated to lower the exorbitant price that they initially charged us. Subcontracted with a couple of people who rented a pickup from Lowe's, and did not tell them that the price (in cash) had changed, so they were as unhappy as we were. Horrible horrible horrible movers. During the actual loading of the truck they joked about ruining other people's furnitures and "making stuff fit" when they couldn't get it up the stairs. Unfortunately, do to some unforeseen problems we didn't have any other options, but in hindsight it would have been worth it to push moving back for the money we have to spend to fix the stuff they broke. Literally they didn't use the moving blankets we graciously provided to protect our old family furniture. They scraped ALL OF OUR tables and dressers to where the paint came off. One such table is unfixable with the damage. Like for the money you'll spend for professional help, just go somewhere else. This place is a joke. read more

The worst movers ever. There truck broke down so I was told I had to rent a u haul so I could move. So that was an extra $325.00 I had to pay. It was a muddy day and they never laid done anything to protect my rugs. So I had to return to the place I moved from rent a rug cleaner..another $50.00 and gas to run around and get it done. Besides that they took breaks every hour and charged me $1200.00 for them taking there time. I will and do not recommend them to anyone. They are nothing but a rip off. Oh and don't forget the $75.00 deposit I made. Never again will I use this company nor any of my family or friends. If anything they owe me money! One pissed off person! Absolutely the biggest freaking Nightmare a person/family could have--even after 30 days of unpacking im still cussing these idiot morons!!---Completely damaged and torn up our king size Captain's Bed (one of a kind-very rare)-scratched, damaged and broke so much other stuff it is truly impossible to list--these dopes where Subcontracted by"OakDale Moving and Storage"(which i do not recommend either/another nightmare) They came to pick up Items-ran over 20 hours late-then charged me double of the estimate-and they KNEW they had me in a pickle-so i had to pay it-then the gut could not even speak english so i not only was head blow from 4000.00 additional charge but i couldn't understand Russian(i am in the USA/MIDWEST-yea i am) then the ram everything in the truck-and promise it will be delivered in 3 days--so i rush 1200 miles and end up waiting 2 weeks cause the dirtbags lied to me--then Oakdale Moving subs anther company to deliver my Goods-the are out of Tampa FL-but my goods never left the midwest-so the Tampa boys bring my goods from storage in the freaking MIDWEST to Vero Beach Fl-blame Wise moving for the packing-while they are supposed to set up the bed we discover it is in multiple broken pieces--along with holding my good hostage for the reminder of the balance of another 4,000--so what was suppose to be a 4000.00 move ended up being a 9,000.00 f n rip off--Never do business with Wise Moving and smart packing(dumb asses for sure) yea i got taken-no claim the headache these MFs gave me was enough-and stay away from Oakdale moving -apartment office brokers-not good either-pay the real movers to get the job done--you wont have to increase your blood pressure meds like i did-i give all the above Minus 10 stars read more

This guy is a complete scammer. Promised a refund but never got it. Two days of promises and no shows. I had to move and had to pay a premium to get moved in time. This company is a total scam! They broke my lamp, bookshelf, scratched and dented my beautiful furniture, and never reimbursed me for all the damages. I had to rent the moving van (which is a red flag that I didn't think about at the time) and they offered to return it for me. I hired this company to move my stuff in Sidney NY last summer. ONE HOUR after they were supposed to arrive, they canceled the job because their mover suddenly "didn't have transportation". No call from them to tell me this either (I had to call and speak to many people to get to the bottom of this). They NEVER showed up for the job and still had the nerve to keep my deposit despite their own policy stating that they will refund said deposit if they cannot complete the job. I called them a dozen times and sent emails to no avail. (No one ever picked up the phone or wrote me back - can we say shady?) I attempted to have my bank reverse the transaction and this company LIED and provided fabricated documents that they had moved my stuff even though I have proof and several witnesses to the contrary. STAY THE HECK AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! They commit fraud and this is inexcusable. If they had a physical address listed (also a huuuuge red flag) I would have picketed outside of their property until I had my deposit back! Absolutely horrible movers, bookers and business people. No insurance, no knowledge of what it takes to do a move, just want your money. They could not move a dog with a dog house if you ask me. Sent out two guys that together could not move one sofa. A total joke. Owe me $50 and I can not get the booking agent or the actual "mover" to refund it. The worst and least reputable company I could have possibly hired. Damaged my couch, three lamps, door frame and broke a glass panel and Bob the "owner" refused to cover it. It took them less than an hour to move my stuff and he threatened to call the cops because I wouldn't pay for 3 hours. They showed up late smelling horribly like marijuana. They also plopped everything down in one room and didn't move it to the respective rooms. I now have to do almost all of the moving myself and pay for all of the damages they caused. read more

I hired them to move my furniture, pack and unpack them. Although I asked Bob who is the owner/manager to send more people he insisted that two guys can do it (they do this every day he said). Two guys could not lift my china cabinet, table, and other heavy items. The guys that showed up did not bring any papers to wrap fragile items, I had to give them bathroom towels, sheets to wrap things. They did not even have tape for boxes although they are hired to pack and unpack my belongings. !!!! They asked me if I had any!!! Bob hired people who are not professionals, they broke my TV , scratched my dining room table, stairs and stair cases. They broke two mirrors. They did not unpack my belongings at all. This is not a real company. They are Bait and switch fraudsters. I booked and gave them 50 dollars and they never returned the deposit, after they called us and told us they could not do the move for the 149.00 advertised on Craigslist, and that because we lived in Canandaigua, it would cost much more. Then I told them just to refund my 50.00 and they have never returned the money. I had to report them to the attorney generals office. We are both older and disabled so this was not only inconvenient, it was an abuse of the elderly. read more

To start off, these guys are definitely punctual. It was nice having them there about 15 minutes early, shows that they made it early enough to be on time but not so easy that they were pushing me before I was ready. They definitely made sure to take care of my items and made sure not to hit my walls or make any scuff marks. When it was all said and done they moved all furniture exactly where I wanted it, not just to the room it went in. I'd definitely do business with them again if I ever needed. Thanks! read more
