Drove by daily for a couple weeks and finally stopped in. Don't know what door to use but glad I went in. The very nice bartender was serving a large men's group but took my order and served me with attention and promptly. Had a great bowl of chili with ? Spaghetti ? And a perfectly prepared bacon cheeseburger with "everything". Which included butter. Charges were very reasonable and I left a 50% tip and still thought I got a great deal on dinner and a couple cocktails. This is a hidden gem in GB. I am here often for work and just found this spot a couple of months ago, and the food is outstanding. Everything is made from scratch and I would say these are the best burgers in GB hands down, and CHEAP!! They always have the game on and service is very attentive. Highly recommend. read more

So this is an old, old, old Main St. bar and the ambiance defines reflects that, just super old school. We were there on a Saturday evening for drinks and burgers with a large group of people. The service was great, we had a little area away from the main bar all to ourselves and had great service. Although the bar was pretty full, the bar tenders checked on us often and no one had to go to the bar to order drinks or food. What really surprised me was how good the burgers were, like 5 star good! They are buttery and served with pickles , ketchup, and mustard, but I think the bun is part of what sets them apart. It's not a hard roll or a soft roll but somewhere in between and it soaks up the butter without getting soggy. I would rank these burgers among the best in Green Bay and far superior to Kroll's bitter burgers. We live in a COVID world and I am trying to figure out.m why the owner Sue and her Bartenders(Kim) don't wear masks? I used to always go here. Support them. Brought friends & family here. Not anymore. Not since my g/f's brother died of COVID-19 and the people at this establishment are defiant about the mask with their big sign when u walk in the door and how I or anyone doesn't have to answer health questions about not wearing a mask. Dive bar that is not disability friendly. Grandfathered in. I don't care if this place along with several on Broadway close up where people don't wear masks and spread crap and don't educate their mind. I refuse to support foolish place's and their uneducated mentality. And now that I am in a wheelchair I have no way getting into the bar. I seen rave reviews on the fish fri on Fri nights , it is kinda lame. Way over-priced and there are much better ones in GB. Go to Eddy Whipps for example... . They wear masks. I've been here a couple of times for their Friday Fish Fry. They keep the tradition of South Broadway Dive bars by being small and dark, but the people and staff were pretty friendly. The other half of the bar is a dining area if you prefer not to eat at the bar. The last time I was there, I had a group of twelve, and was lucky there wasn't a crowd so we were able to get a table for all of us. Similar to supper clubs, you order your food at the bar and when it's ready they seat you. I ordered the perch with coleslaw and potato salad and YES it was fantastic. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food. It's definitely a hidden gem for a fish fry. read more

It's a dive bar that serves food. Pretty dark and dingy inside. Six of us went tonight for fish. 4 had the perch, and all said it was cooked really well. The woman who had the whitefish said hers was excellent. I had the seafood combo which came with soup, salad and then 3 breaded shrimp, 5 breaded scallops, and a hunk of deep fried haddock. I thought the hunk of deep fried haddock was overdone but haddock is not my favorite anyhow. The shrimp were good and so were the scallops. All dinners also included choice of fries or potato salad, and dark rye bread with onions. The soup was pea soup and it was really excellent. I wouldn't make a habit of going there but I will go again. perhaps the bartender will be a little less cranky the next time. No pictures because it was so dark in there. read more

I am always on the hunt for a good fish fry place. When we arrived Friday night they were sold out of perch right before us I guess. I got an old fashion and tried to decide what else to order settling on the white fish. We had to wait a really long time for our food. The bartender was at least attentive making sure we had drinks for the really long time we had to wait. I liked the light breading on my fish and the dill sauce that was served with it. The sauce is I guess from Pick'n'save which was an interesting thing to tell a diner that you do not make your own sauces. Fries were okay not seasoned at all. For the price point though I think we paid too much. This place does not have wheel chair access to their bathrooms I could barely fit myself in the bathroom to the close the door and I am a tiny person. Went on a Saturday afternoon for a burger. Nice deal - 1/4 lb burger with the works (butter, ketchup, mustard, onion & pickle) for $1.75 when you purchase a drink. Burger was juicy & bun was great. Rumor is that the owner makes the buns. Soup of day was sold out (pea soup) but heard it is the best. Chili was meaty with or without noodles - not spicy and tastes like a lot of chili powder was used. Fries were crinkle cut & cooked perfectly. Came here for the Friday night fish fry. It runs similar to a Supper club. You sit at the bar and order drinks. Review the menu and then place your order. They give you the option of eating at the bar or sitting in the dining area. We chose the dining area but before that we had a few cocktails while our food was being prepared. The drinks were delicious and the bar staff was awesome. Our food was ready quickly and we were sat. We were the only ones taking advantage of the dining room so it was rather intimate but it felt like even if more people were in the dining area it still wouldnt be too crowded. This restaurant opened up in Oct 2017. It has a great menu selection with chef prepared dishes for a reasonable price. The food we tried was delicious! The location is easy to find on Main Street (right across from Los Banditos). If looking for an after work stoppage, great bar selections of bourbons and beers plus appetizers galore.
