This is the best auto AC shop I have ever visited. I was quoted like $$$ from the dealership but got it fixed with Eddy for $750 only. Eddy did a free inspection on the AC, then he pinpointed the problem to be a faulty clutch on the AC compressor. He replaced a new compressor the same day. Unfortunately, the one he put on my Honda Odyssey has loose wires so he decided to replace a new AC compressor for me. After that, no more problem and my AC is colder than before. The air conditioner in my 2005 Hyundai was not working. My daughter in law suggested With Pride Auto Air as she went there after taking her car to the dealer and having them tell her, she needed a new unit at the cost of $3000. She took her car to With Pride and they fixed her air conditioner at the cost of $79.00!! Mine was a little more because of the age of my car and they did more work. Last summer my son's air went out so we added coolant, that didn't fix it so he took it to Firestone in C.H. they gave him an estimate of $1,200.00 so he took it to another mechanic and they said at least $1,000.00 so he drove all year with out air and finally couldn't take it anymore. Fast service. I got there popped the hood and I think it was Ron who right away checked the usual stuff. Fuse, electrical. I knew it was the compressor but it was nice to see him check everything. The car was ready in two days as promised. I gave four stars, because my car got a couple of scratches. My paint job is ugly but you should be careful even if the car looks like a rust bucket. Same goes with the glove compartment which does not fully open anymore, I probably can figure out what is wrong with it, but a person less prone to to tinkering would be upset. I want to start off by saying that I have a few mechanics listed near my work and home that I consider trustworthy. Places that have never tried to up-sell me or if during an inspection they realized my problem was a small part, they would replace it for free. With that said, my air conditioner malfunctioned. It would blow cold air for about 20 min then blow nothing but hot air. I took my car into every reliable mechanic I knew and they couldn't fix it. They tried everything from fixing leaks to replacing a fan that was intermittently stopping. Nothing fixed my air conditioner. Although I trusted these shops with things like engine or brake trouble, A/C seemed to leave them scratching their heads or saying it could be 100 different causes. I decided to try an A/C specialist and saw With Pride on Yelp. This would be my last ditch effort to repair my air or suffer through the heat until I can afford another car. I pulled my car in and Eddie came out and told me to pop my hood. He didn't ask any questions and I didn't have to explain anything to him. He just said I could have a seat inside and he would check it out. I sat down and within about 2 minutes he came back with an estimate. He said the compressor had a bad magnetic clutch assembly. He wrote the estimate on a card so I could bring the car back later and he would honor the quote he gave. I went back home and for my own piece of mind, requested several quotes from other shops to see if the prices were all similar. With Pride ended up being at least $300 cheaper than any other quote I received. The day I dropped my car off, I was given an estimated wait time and told my car would be ready between 3-5 pm. This concerned me because I needed to pick up my son from school. I was told they would see what they could do but time would be dependent on when parts were available. I checked in around 12:30 and my car was already done. It pulled up to the front of the shop and the cold air was immediately felt as soon as I opened the door. HORRIBLE first impression of customer service! I searched for places that exclusively service automobile A/C, not a full service auto repair that includes A/C. When I arrived and asked about service for my older BMW, the guy got an attitude and said "I hate working on those cars!" Really!?! Wouldn't a better reply have been something like, "I'm sorry, sir, but BMWs are not our specialty, however, I can refer you to XYZ Air on ABC Street." I know for a fact that A/C is basically the same on all cars, so it doesn't make a difference if it's a Chevy, Honda or BMW. Learn some manners, punk!! read more

I was convinced to check out this place after reading all the "great" reviews. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't so great. After getting back my car, the issue with my AC wasn't resolved. I completely understand that sometimes it's trial and error when it comes with cars. I took back the car hoping to get it resolved. The mechanic, I believe his name is Eddie, was rude, very defensive, and dismissive. Right away he seem like he didnt want to deal with my car. Saying he was too busy and that he wasnt going to be able find the problem with the AC. I've worked in customer service for years. I took my Toyota Tacoma in and asked him to find the leak (coolant kept leaking out). He found it. The dye dripped out of the drain tube, which proved the evaporator coil was leaking in the cabin under the dash. Because the job is too big for his shop, he gave me referrals to get it fixed. Was referred by a friend. The first time I showed up was great. The young guy looked over ac and checked for leaks then filled up with freon. He said if it leeks just bring it back and leave it with him for the day. So 3 months later when ac is blowing hot I brought it back. As soon as I pulled up same young man approached me and said rudely can I help you? I was like yeah, you said bring it back so you could look at it. He replied, I don't have time for this it's to big of a job and he couldn't do it. The guy was being a total dick! Took my car in on the Wednesday was ready by Thursday afternoon they did a great job my AC seems to work even better now then before I even got stuck not being able to pick up my car on time they gave me no problems leaving it with them until Monday. Had my GMC 2500 serviced several months ago 6/2020 as it was blowing hot air.. No leaks found and they charged the system and replaced cabin filters. Turned on AC a few days ago and blowing hot. Even wasted money on DIY Freon from auto parts and no luck. Took it back expecting having a big repair bill. I dropped off the truck this morning 2/22/21 and got a call back a few hours later. They said the truck was ready for pick up and no charge for work. Turned out there was a leak in the charging ports and they replace it and charged the system. No charge! Was referred to this place by Bob Lerouge in Upland and im very satisfied. Was told by AAMCO that my Blend Door for my car was broken and needed replacement if I ever wanted cold air again. What was offered is either essentially glue the door open ($350), or replace the whole system($1000+) They didnt even look under the hood to check for a broken vac line. All the reviews are true! Eddie and Ron were great when I brought my 17 year old Jeep here for a/c service. They are exactly what you'd expect from guys described as "old school." They are not big on chit chat or upselling - what they ARE big on is giving you an accurate, fast, honest assessment of your a/c system and then fixing the dang thing. That's it. No flashy website, no huge social media presence. Just regular guys doing a great job at a fair price... do you really need anything else? I don't. The A/C in my 2001 Toyota Tacoma was still working but it just wasn't cooling things down as quickly as it used to so a couple of moths ago I "let my fingers do the walking." 'With Pride Auto Air Conditioning' had the most eye catching ad in the phonebook so I gave them a call. The man I spoke to was very friendly and answered all of my questions so I decided to give them a shot. I stopped by about a week later. The place was pretty slow (the weather was rather mild that day) so he (Ron?) was able to inspect my A/C system and get it recharged with R-134 in no time at all. He told me that he was impressed with the condition of my A/C system considering that it was 10 years old. Since he found no problems and only added about 4 ounces of R-134, he charged me about half of his usual hourly rate. After my experience, I would not hesitate to recommend 'With Pride Auto Air Conditioning' to anyone needing automotive A/C work done. read more
