My 2007 Ram suffered from the typical design defect of plastic A/C parts that are designed to last. I've been driving around for a few years with the A/C, heater and defrost coming out of all the vents at the same time. I took the truck to the dodge dealership in Riverside, CA and their diagnostic made the situation worse by causing the mirror defrost button to spastically flash while the HVAC door attempted to continually cycle while attempting to conduct an endless test that didn't stop until sometime after I locked the truck and left the area. The dealer told me I should've expected that because it's the natural result of their testing on a system with broken HVAC doors. They said they could repair it for $1,400 to remove the dash, and $600 to conduct the repairs. Well later dealership, never see you again! Called Domestic Diesel in Chino, CA and they referred me to A-1 Radiator and A/C. There, Cliff and family really took care of my truck. Wonderful people. Cliff diagnosed the problem (Should've taken it there first because the endless cycling of A/C motors complicated everything). Cliff told me what I needed and how long it would take to repair back to factory specs since aftermarket parts wouldn't last as long. Three days later, I was driving away in my Ram pickup with new HVAC. First time in years that I had to slide the A/C levers toward the heat because it was too cold for me. My wife's going to enjoy it when we tow our trailer through the Mojave Desert this summer. Thanks Cliff and everyone, Great Job! I took my old Honda CB 750 gas tank to have them weld a small leak. They did a great job , even got rid of the rust inside for me that was pretty resistant to flash rust. Worst service ever. Don't come here. Their 20 years building clientele with good service is going down the drain. They did the job I needed done. But anybody can do that. Its the attitude and the pride of the rude lady that I dealt with that showed they have unprofessional and bad service. She said she's the manager, might be owner. I explained to her my frustration about not having my car ready on the time they promised, she basically said she didn't care and I can go somewhere else if I didn't like their service. She didn't want to take the time to listen and understand my frustration. Shes a old prideful lady that will not humble herself to make her customers happy. I experienced some pretty bad customer service that led me to go to another Radiator shop nearby. The lady at the front counter was pretty rude and not really informative or welcoming. My car had been overheating on me and I took it to A-1 to have someone check it out and let me know what was wrong with it, she says, "well you're gonna have to leave your car here for a couple of hours, I have a bunch of cars in front of you." She didn't explain what would be done or anything so I didn't feel comfortable leaving my car with them, seems like they don't really care. I took my Ford F1 50 to A-1 radiator after getting a substantially lower quote for radiator replacement and service I dropped my car off on a Saturday they were swamped due to the heat wave but they still managed to have my car finished in two days as promised. I was travelling from CA to AZ and at 3am on the border of Ontario our Astrovan was in a super bad way! We got a tow and chose to set up camp outside A-1 Radiator based on the yelp reviews they already had. What an awesome family! They took great care of us and genuinely did all they could to help us out. Much of the vans problems (head gasket etc.) we didn't even get into just because it wasn't worth it, but they worked tirelessly all day to sort what problems they could with radiator replacement, thermostat and the likes and had us back on the road and saw us safely home. Going to take another van there when I pass through on my way back for the AC! Very grateful to these guys. Definitely highly recommend them. first off the full name of the actual business is A-1 Radiator & Air Conditioning. My Son was in need of a repair shop to diagnos some A/C issues on a 1991 Toyota Camry. I called Al at The Auto Shop for a recommendation because I've been doing business with him for about 18 years he is very trustworthy and I know there are a lot of horror stories when it comes to automotive repair. Al recommended A-1 Radiator & Air conditioning to me and gave me a phone number. My Son made two phone calls to the business to discuss the situation and potential repair costs. He did not want to spend more than the car was worth to fix the A/C. We agreed I would bring the car down on Friday morning of 4/12/2013. My Son has crazy work hours and I was nice enough to help him. Actually he and I were both trying to help his girlfriend who lives in banning cause we did not want to see her without A/C in Banning in July. There was some communication error between my son and I about the location so as I was enroute I had to call again to confirm address and location especially since there are some other automotive repair businesses in the area with similar names. When I arrived I was greeted by a lady and when I told her about the car she remembered talking to my son. She recalled his concerns about cost and told me she would call me as soon as the had an idea what the issue was and what repair costs would be. She also confirmed with me the estimate she gave my son to troubleshoot the problem. Remember we are talking about A/C in a 91 toyota camry. Within 2 hours I received a call. Bad news/good news. Because of the age of the car the part needed was only available thru a dealer and they wouldn't have it until Monday. Right away I seen dollar signs cause I'm thinking part for a 22 year old car via the dealer can't be good right. Wrong, that was the good news the cost of repair was actually going to be cheaper than the original estimate. We agreed to leave the car at the shop over the weekend for convenience and since I felt confident the location had sufficient security. For security reasons I will not discuss the shops security system. They called me on Monday when the car was done as they said they would. I arrived to pick up the car. I was given appropriate description of the repair that was made. I was given a receipt. Most importantly the A/C worked GREAT. I recall when I found the business on Yelp I was a bit suprised that they did not have a review yet, especially for as long as they were in business according to my source Al at "The Auto Shop". I have to admit I was even a little excited that I may get to be the first to review it. Fast forward about three weeks to tonight when I finally have some free time to catch up on some reviews I've been waiting to write. I log on and see the review from Brenda P. All I can tell you is that my experience could not have been more positive. This business was recommended to me by Al at The Auto Shop. Ive been doing business with him for about 18 years, I trust him. His shop was voted best auto repair shop by Daily bulletin readers. Based on the feeling my son got after two phone calls with the staff he wanted to take the car there. The fixed our A/C and the price was less than the estimate. all of our communications with the staff here was positive. my a/c stopped cooling so i called this place a few weeks ago on a recommendation and was told by the receptionist that no appointments are needed. She said it would take 1-2 hours to recharge the a/c and bring it by anytime. I went yesterday afternoon and she was so rude! complete 180. Suddenly anytime changed to only before 1pm during the week and oh were closed on Saturdays. Wasted drive! She acted like they were going to do me a favor because they are always so busy!
