Creamed Spinach Broccolini Fries Strip Steak
    Katie D.

When we are in the area this is our go to date night spot. We typically order the same thing but last night my bf switched from the ribeye to the strip steak. We are bar people so we sit there if it's just the 2 of us. Jackie the bartender is absolutely amazing! She makes a delicious dirty martini (and all drinks) Over the winter I did dry January and she made me a fun mocktail which was very nice of her! The filet is perfectly tender and the bernaise sauce is the best I've had out. Has a nice lemon tone, which I love the brightness of the acidity. The fries are like McDonald's but a step up, and creamed spinach is also a favorite. It is heavier on the cream and cheese side which we enjoy! This time around we did not get dessert but the Witherspoon Sundae is a MUST I also love the oyster sampler app which is nice to try different varieties!

Pros: We loved the open concept and the natural light pouring in through the windows--being on the corner really adds to the bright, inviting atmosphere. We started with cosmos, which were good (though not quite perfect). I ordered the turkey BLT, served with homemade potato chips that honestly stole the show. Our server, Noel, was attentive and thoughtful, even surprising us with complimentary glasses of champagne for our anniversary. Cons: The Witherspoon Burger was ordered medium to medium-well but came out fully well done. It still had good flavor, but the doneness was off. The fries were underwhelming and nothing particularly memorable. We also ordered the toasted pound cake with strawberries and cream--while the toasted outer layer was delicious, the rest of the cake didn't quite live up to it, and we ended up leaving much of it uneaten. Overall: Between the lovely ambiance, great service, and solid food, we'd still consider coming back--though there's a bit of room for improvement when it comes to consistency.

Great choice for a chill lunch to catch up with a friend. Lots of space, easy to make a reservation, good service, tasty food, plenty of menu options, traditional decor. The desserts were especially delicious.

Wow what an excellent dinner!! Not one complaint for tonight's dining experience. Our server, William, as always was phenomenal. Our water glasses filled every time they got low by other staff members. We were seated promptly. The temperature was perfect. Most of all the food was outstandingly delicious!! Three of us got the restaurant week menu Caesar salad, sea bass, and either the bread pudding or mini brownie sundae both of which were great. The sea bass was soooo good with the sweet Thai chili sauce and the vegetable toppings. We cleared our plates. The fourth person in our party got the strip steak cooked rare and he said it was cooked to perfection and so tender and delicious. All in all the most wonderful experience and we will be back again!

This past weekend, 12/13/25 we decided to have a date night down in Princeton! We have been to Witherspoon Grill once before for Dinner & absolutely loved it! We had actually had dinner before coming so we went for a night cap! My husband & I each got 4 cocktails. We absolutely loved our seasonal beverages! The restaurant is very warm & cozy inside. The bar staff was super helpful & friendly! We would definitely go back!

It was a beautiful day in Princeton, New Jersey. We walked around the Princeton & my niece made reservations for lunch at Witherspoons just a few steps from the hallowed halls of Princeton University. We sat outside & were enjoying a rare warm October day in the Northeast. I had the salmon, tasty & healthy. The Lobster roll was yummy & filling. The cocktails were amazing. Service was great & we did not have to wait long to be served. The vibe was lively & a lot of folks brought their pets. I highly recommend this restaurant. A great day, with great food & making memories with family. Just perfect.

Starter dish was Nueske's bacon served in a sweet and spicy maple chipotle syrup!

It was my daughter's Master Degree Graduation and the family and I were greeted very warm and friendly by the host, I'm sorry I didn't get her babe she had a pink/ peach blazer. They sat us within 5 minutes of our arrival. The server Noel was very personal and friendly. He took our order right away. The food was exceptionally delicious! The whole family was pleasantly impressed with the quality of the food. Noel checked up on us through our whole brunch experience. It may my daughters graduation extra special! We will be back soon

The food was delicious and the ambiance is amazing! Typical Princeton vibe and locals. My meal was bigger than I expected! The mojito was to die for. Service was attentive and professional!! I highly recommend!!!

A Princeton staple. Consistently great! The fried calamari was perfectly cooked with a delicious balsamic drizzle. Tried the warm goat cheese salad special, it was perfect.

There used to be delicious bread here.

Amazing food, appetizers, specials and entrees. The bread is another standout. The desserts are fantastic as well.

As someone who eats gluten-free, I appreciated that they had a handful of gluten-free options to choose from, which made ordering easy. The service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal, and everything we had was fresh and flavorful. The only downside was that the portions felt a bit small for the price, so it was a little more expensive than I expected for what you receive. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience and would definitely return. If you're looking for a charming restaurant with good food, great service, and gluten-free choices, Agricola is worth checking out.

As we were leaving I reconfirmed it with the person at the host's desk ( seemed to be the manager) , who apologized and said maybe our waiter missed it . But it was a noticeable miss that cannot be overlooked, as that was the purpose of our dinner here. End of the meal, our family's spirits fell flat, but we still sang and celebrated sans the petty candle. Now on to the food and drinks... Mocktails were delicious, colorful, and eye-catching . We tried all 3 on the menu and loved it. Appetizers galore filled our table ... Bang Bang cauliflower had a medley of sweet & sour flavors. Hummus pita board - Warm grilled pita was a table favorite with the small portion of hummus and fresh crisp veggies. Harvest salad - crisp lettuce, feta cheese, walnuts, poached and fresh sliced pear, cucumbers, and watermelon radish with rose vinaigrette made this extra special. Crispy calamari - great pairing with pickled veggies and arugula basil aioli. We ordered an assortment of entrees with all seafood choices . Salmon with risotto , Halibut & Branzino cooked to perfection served with flavorful sides. For dessert, it was the warm brownie with vanilla ice cream and peanut butter cup . The brownie was soft and not too sweet, slightly warm and it vanished in a few seconds. Peanut butter cup was a dense donut texture with candied peanuts We hoped that at least one of the desserts would be served with a candle as we were celebrating a birthday but they missed it and didn't care enough despite letting them know when marking the reservation. I loved everything about the experience at Agricola, but their lack of attention to detail stuck out like a sore thumb , as the poor communication between their front desk and wait staff dampens the guests' experience , making it a not-so-great finish .

For years I have been boring friends, family and anyone who would listen about the wretched state of service in the US, unfortunately made even more dismal by the pandemic. And before I forget, the food... almost matching the service which is saying something. Here I go again--another French bistro I absolutely adore…read more Christine's French Bistro is everything you want in a cozy, decadent French spot: small, intimate, softly lit with sconces, and anchored by a beautiful bar you can dine at or just sip champagne and linger. Let's be honest--I come here for one reason: the soufflés. They are my kryptonite. Sweet or savory, they never disappoint. I've had the chocolate (rich, decadent, flawless), though I'm still chasing my ultimate favorite--the elusive Grand Marnier soufflé. One day... Beyond that: * Mussels + champagne = always a win * Service is warm and welcoming * Prices feel fair for the quality and experience This place has become part of my ritual when I'm in the area. I'll fly into Newark Liberty International Airport, hop on the Amtrak Acela, get off in Princeton, head straight here, and yes--plan my trip around a soufflé. No regrets. The location is perfect--right in the heart of Princeton, which is one of those charming, walkable towns with tree-lined streets and that classic, almost European feel. There's garage parking nearby, but honestly, once you're there, you won't need your car. Perfect for: * Date night * Dessert and champagne with friends * Solo bar seating (highly recommend) Bottom line: Elegant, cozy, and worth going out of your way for--especially if you love a proper soufflé. Life's too short not to eat well. Go make it happen.

I highly recommend stopping by for drinks and bites if you're in the mood for classic cocktails and solid food. There was a young lady sitting in the corner in the phone telling us that there were no seats if we didn't have a reservation. Not the most polite but whatever. We went back to the bar and got a table. Why are bar tables always so sticky?! Anyhoo, we just missed the Happy Jour menu but it was only a $1-2 discount (except for the burger: $4). Service was pleasant and attentive. The food was overpriced for sitting in a bar. $30 for a bowl of ramen! (I don't know how it tastes but it's $17 across the street.) $22 for a burger and fries! $10 for two little bao with a single shrimp in each! Ok, that's not too bad since Bao is generally overpriced for some reason but I could have gotten more than one shrimp. Unfortunately, the price did not reflect the quality. My friend who got the ramen said it was in the bottom 25% he's ever had. My burger was pretty good but the bun was toasted and brittle and made an unnecessary mess. The fries--personal preference--I don't like skinny fries. As for the bao, the shrimp was too salty. I liked the finishing salt but the flavoring salt was too heavy. Also, it was drizzled with aioli and I couldn't pick it up and eat it like the sandwich it was. Overall, a disappointment. Mediocre food and an elevated price for no reason.
