Despite being terrified and peeing my pants, this was a well done, truly immersive escape room so I can't fault it for my thin nerves. The puzzles are beginner to medium level difficulty, and I think a group of four would be ideal for this space. The decor is very in-theme, as well as the lighting and sound effects. The use of technology and old school riddles is well done and we loved the hinting system. It's pretty funny, and helped lighten the mood when I was freaked out by the dark. The fright level is pretty low, I am just a big chicken, so if you can sit through a horror movie, this room will be just fine for you. Nothing jumps out and there are no actors in the room. There is no lobby so you just wait on the street (or in your car for safety reasons) until they come out to get you. Because of the location they may want to use a room divider and create a makeshift lobby where the vending machine and tv monitor is so people aren't just waiting on the sidewalk while they reset the room. I'd love to give this escape room a higher rating, but there were several things that were both in and partially out of the control of the people running the room... To start, we didn't know we were going to be paired up with people until we arrived. That's fine, it's to be expected, but a heads up would have been nice so we could have possibly re-booked for their last slot that night (which we knew was empty). Especially given the pair up... Let's start at the top: the people we were paired with were something of a wreck from the start. From the second their car drove past the entrance three times (including once backwards super fast all the way back down an alleyway because they found out they couldn't turn left at the other side of it...) to the very end-- reckless, considering the narrow nature of the alley... These people (a husband, wife, and their two sons) entered the room, took the flashlights we were all given, and proceeded to immediately shine them in our eyes, thinking it was hilarious. Okay, maybe they're nervous? That's okay, not the staff's fault. Then we start, and at first we're trying to figure out how these people are solving puzzles so fast since it's their second room ever-- until we figure out that they're literally breaking everything. They're busting locks and containers, trying to rig up retrieval inventions to get keys out of weird places, and in general totally ruining my group's experience. The staff, meanwhile, makes 'scary' "stoooop" noises through the mic, but never once do they put an end to it by saying something more direct, or even coming in and saying it's over. And they should have. I mean, after the husband of this strange group starting ripping up their LED lighting, dropping locks into barrels, and trying to rip props off of shelves or tear bolts out of the floor, you'd think they'd do something. But nope. After having done a ton of escape rooms, it's quite clear that good staff can make or break an experience-- in this case, this one broke the experience, which is sad considering the girl that brought us in seemed very nice. While this experience really drug us down, that's not what takes this down to two-stars. I think the concept is really nice. I can tell they put a lot of work into the setting, and the special effects, alongside a decent story line. But there were a lot of things that weren't intuitive or logical, and there were a lot of what I perceived to be malfunctions and issues that at this point are kind of silly to have overlooked. I think that their interface with the big machine (they know which) needs some work so that the player doesn't have to reach out to the staff to do something as simple as go back to something that they previously closed. Putting a basic menu or back button would be so easy to do. Our friends had been to this room a while back and after meeting several issues and malfunctions, waited quite a long time for the team to work the kinks out. The staff was so friendly and the escape room was awesome. Not done too many of these (not sure I really like them), but have to say my group and I absolutely loved the Curiosity Shop. To me, a good room is one that is not only challenging, but creative and well-done (as in good production value). In other words, puzzles and word games are fine, but the Curiosity Shop brings is some fun effects and an interesting premise that just means being in the room is already fun and visually interesting (and yes, the perfect level of creepiness). They use sound and visual effects, and unique tools that fit with the story, to make it interactive and fun. And the 6-person limit for this room is perfect. We stopped by this escape room near the end of a two week trip in southern California. For every member of our family (ages 11, 13, 14 and 47 - but looks 29), this was among our top three things we did (versus beaches, Universal, zoos, waterparks, National Parks). The creative crew did an amazing job of putting this adventure together, the technical crew made the experience magic. We cannot say enough about what a great place this is. On a side note, these guys are about the nicest business men I have ever met. Not only is this escape room amazing. But the team running it are very super creative and really accommodating. I run a character company and we had a Make-A-Wish child situation where the child cannot participate in the actual escape room physically. So they allowed our Ghostbusters characters to host him via zoom phone call. Normally escape rooms would never allow any type of filming going on (which is completely understandable) but they were very accommodating to the situation. We did an escape room every week during the child's summer vacation. We did a grand total of seven different escape rooms throughout Southern California and I I have to say this was everyone's absolute favorite one. Just a repeat we did seven different escape rooms and this was our absolute favorite one of all of them. Do not hesitate to book this if you love the paranormal Ghostbusters and or escape rooms. Could not say enough about how well this was put together. I would give more stars if I could. I plan on bringing friends here that I know would really enjoy it! read more

A really great escape room!!! My first time to one and I was worried about a few things such as will it be challenging enough, and will the people I went with will be okay since it was more of a horror theme and I did not tell them. This was the best experiences I have had, for 25 dollars each I thought it might not be worth it, but after doing it I wanted to scream "TAKE MY MONEY" The challenges were very thought out, and as long as you are okay with the horror paranormal theme this is great for all ages. The only bad thing I can say about the place is that there are only 2 rooms, I wish they had more! read more
