General tso's chicken with vegetable lo mein and an egg roll
Brian R.

I had no idea that you could get general TSO's bean curd (soy)! Or other flavors. This place is good. I appreciate the vegan options. But I always feel guilty eating here because of all the plastic! If they used eco friendly containers I would eat here much often.

fried chicken and french fries in a styrofoam container

If I could give a 0 rating I would. All the chicken was burnt and hard as a rock and the fries must have been left over from the day before because they were stale and disgusting. The rice was brown not brown rice it was fried rice not bright yellow as it should be but brown and nasty. $35 and change and not one pack of sauce utensils or napkins. Disgusting food I will NEVER order from here again.

Better than average Chinese takeout. Great Hunan chicken, dumplings and hot & sour soup.

Food was alright. I had the sesame chicken with lo mein. The lo mein did not have much flavor that was the only thing.

Never had a bad experience. Order the sweet and sour chicken all the time. It's fast and cheap.

I liked this place before I had tried food Chinese food. This place is less than mediocre. Their pork is rubbery. Their chicken and broccoli is watery. They put lettuce and cabbage in their Lo mein and I can't figure out why. Their dumplings are not very appetizing either. I usually go here because they are convenient. I do not order food served in styrofoam or use single serving plastic. I have been ordering pints to avoid plastic but it is too much food and too much money. I asked for them to give me a genera tso's chicken dinner but asked for them to give it to me is their cardboard pint containers. They refused to accommodate. I always found the woman at the front counter to be mean. I didn't really care because I was hungry, but I'm really sick of the attitude and the overall experience is very undesirable. Its with driving a few more miles for some friendly service and better quality food. After going here for 25 years, I have been enlightened to much better food and much better service. Maybe I'll try again with the next owner change.

I forgot to take photos because by the time we got the food, I was solely focused on getting something to eat. The food is pretty average here. We ordered a large chicken and broccoli with, wonton egg drop soup, moo shu pork, and a brown rice. The chicken and broccoli was the only thing I personally liked. Flavor wise, it's completely typically for Chinese takeout. My only issue with it was that they were a little conservative with the amount of chicken in it. It's great though, for people who really love their broccoli. The wonton egg drop soup broth was a bit lacking in flavor. The wontons had some decent taste to them, but the wrapping was light, personally I prefer wontons with thicker wrapping. It wasn't bad, but not great either. And I'm not sure if it's particularly bad, or good, but it also wasn't completely packed with wontons, so there was more broth than I'm used to having in a container of wonton soup. The moo shu pork was a bit salty for my liking, and the hoisin sauce that came with it was not as sweet as the brand I'm familiar with. The pancakes that came with the dish were overly wrapped up in saran wrap, it took my a couple minutes to actually get them out. The other issue with them is that they were extremely delicate. Just handling them I felt like they were going to fall apart. They were also square, instead of circular, which is unusual, but not a big deal. I don't normally feel the need to mention rice, but here the white rice was good (it's hard to mess up white rice, right?). But the brown rice was so bad, we had to throw it out. The prices were pretty average for a Chinese takeout place, although I think they charged extra for the brown rice, which some places do, some don't. I'd give this place another try, but ordering different dishes.

I started my meal with a Shrimp Egg Roll, which was thankfully not over-fried. I thought the roll could have used more shrimp and some added flavor, though, as it was mainly white cabbage. While others ordered saucy, traditional meals and enjoyed them, I opted for the Steamed Bean Curd with Mixed Vegetables and garlic sauce on the side. Unsurprisingly, no one wanted to share dishes with me, but I was pleased with my selection. The tofu was soft and silky, and there was a decent variety of vegetables included - snow peas, bamboo shoots, broccoli, carrots, water chestnuts, and celery. My side of brown rice was also perfectly cooked and not too mushy. Overall, Koi wound up being a wise takeout choice that would be added into the rotation of the members of the group living in that neighborhood.
